  1. On a nuetral site, I GUARANTEE the Ballerz 16's beat Thunder 16's by at least double digits. Anytime you want to play the game, we're ready. BUT, you cannot bring the "white ref"... Ballerz 17's beat Thunder 16's in the Title game 85-48, without the "white ref"...
  2. Yeah, that can't be the reason those AL kids weren't eligible... You get up to 3 out of state players, and they just have to be from any state that touches Tennessee...
  3. Coach, congrats on a great weekend in Dallas!!!
  4. Wow, I am actually very surprised to see SE Elite not win more in Houston... I heard they were completely loaded...
  5. Wow... it's a shocker to see Memphis Celtics and Memphis Pump 'n Run leaving Memphis for substate... There can't be anyone else in Memphis outside of YOMCA that would force Both teams to leave is there??? Those two would have to be the clear favorites. I had heard SE Elite was going to be down South, but if they are in Nashville, they will be tough as well... Should be an absolutely LOADED substate, possibly more talented than the State Tourney...
  6. Ken-Tenn Run 'n Gun is definitely one of the top 3 teams in the Tourney. They are loaded with height, talent, and scorers... A few ex-Ballerz, Mario Partee (6'7) and Marquise Weddle (25 ppg) are starters for this team)...Word is they also had Union City's Antawn Coby practicing with them, but likely won't play since he is too old by 2 days... Even without Coby, this is a talented, deep team with three kids 6'7 or taller!!! Pools A and C are loaded, and look out for a possible first round tourney matchup between Ken-Tenn and the Ballerz 16's (White) with major tourney implications... Also watch out for Nashville Tigers, Franklin Rage as threats, and never count out an MLK based team (Royals)... Should be a great weekend of basketball...
  7. Ballerz Challenge of Champions May 13-15 15, 16, 17 Teams from TN, KY, AL, MS, FL, and AR
  8. Have Shun email me immediately, if he is interested... www.unapproved website.com and me email address is on the bottom of the page...
  9. Yeah, these are not even remotely true... Almost funny they are so incorrect... Nicchaeus and Xavier never left us last year. Period. Antawn Coby had a tough time getting off the bench, and left the team in a mutual decision at midseason, though I did want him to play for the Select team, where he would have gotten the exposure he does not currently have. That was his choice to not take advantage of the exposure of the Select team since he couldn't get many minutes on the Elite... Marquise Weddle called me last week wanting to come back and play after falling for a coach who lied to him about tournaments they would attend... We did not take Lee Liggens back due to attitude problems, and an inconsistent attendance record last year with our 16's... Jarvis Varnardo is playing with us, and had a great tournament in Houston this past weekend... Jarvis recieved a high number of D-1 scholarship offers ON THE SPOT this weekend with his great performances... NWSports... Keep this up, and I'll have to call you out on these boards, which would be ridiculous. If you have a problem since your son didn't get much PT with one of our teams this year, call me rather than start LIES on a public message board. You are supposed to be an adult, I thought.
  10. When and how did Thunder and Rage get auto bids to Nationals???
  11. What politics??? A kid did not get much PT on our 16:u team (the 16's, by the way, won the entire tourney in a LOADED field), and somehow this has something to do with a 17:u player??? Different coaches, different players, different teams involved here... It's just funny to make comments like these when the only gripe is a kid you're close to didn't get much run on our 16:u team and now no longer is on the team...
  12. No parents take care of us financially. Not even close... Money, Power, Politics??? NONE of those three sentiments can even be close to being used when talking about our program... Pretty funny you keep saying that though, since it's so completely off... BTW...It's pretty obvious who this is posting...
  13. Willie is a great player, but we had no real chance to keep him. He has played with that same group of guys for 6 or 7 years now. In addition, they are fully sponsored with brand new shoes, unis, etc, and fly to tourneys, while we will be making a 13 hour drive this weekend... It's hard to compete for Top 50 players when you can't match other programs financially... As for PT...Willie played 21 out of 32 minutes in the title game for us last weekend. He played 15 out of 32 minutes the game before, a 100-44 blow out (why play starters in a 60 point win?). He played 17 out of 32 minutes in his first game coming off the bench (he had not practiced with us before, so why start him ahead of those that had been there from the beginning?). Willie played the second most minutes on the team behind Brandon Evans for the weekend, in a balanced effort where 13 players played each game... Good luck to Willie and Pump 'n Run on the rest of the season...
  14. Willie is a great player and a great winner... The Ballerz and Pump 'n Run are starting to build quite a rivalry... Even with Willie at point for Pump 'n Run, the Ballerz led by 13 in the second half of their Sweet 16 tourney matchup. Willie hit a last second shot to send this game into overtime, where Pump 'n Run outlasted the Ballerz 77-74... Good luck to both programs next week...
  15. Great showing by the Ballerz Select in their first tourney with their full roster. Outstanding play by Jonathon Dye, Jordan Dixon, Marq Murden, Josh Johnson, Cody Davis, and Freeman Pinkney, among others...
  16. Great weekend for the Ballerz program... Ballerz Select 17:u: 3-0, winning the AAU Substate Ballerz Elite 17:u: Finished 2nd in pool, losing to #1 ranked Spiece Indy Heat Beat #2 ranked nationally DC Assault, 92-76 Beat Birmingham Raptors 63-46 Lost in overtime to eventual champ Memphis Pump 'n Run after leading by 13 in second half... Great team effort for the Ballerz Elite. Brandon Evans pumped in 25 against DC Assult. Barry Stewart, Mack Gardner, Josh Mack, Jeremy Jones, and Deon Gaines all played outstanding on the perimeter, with Stewart netting 13 and Gardner 12 points, 8 assists against Memphis. J.Mack had 17 points, 8 assists vs. DC. Randon Cavette, Jeremy Saffore, Daren Currie, Zack Frey, and Logan Greer played well in the frontcourt, with Cavetter notching a couple double-doubles... Ballerz 16:u: WON the Real Deal on the Hill Championship, beating Memphis YOMCA Magic in the semis, and Arkansas Wings in the finals... In a complete team effort, 6'2 PG Juwon Long was outstanding and is making a case for #1 in the State in Class of 2007 after outplaying Mo Miller head to head... Antwon Long, also from Liberty Tech, was outstanding, as was Ken Bingham, CJ Davis, Josh Sain, Devon Jones, and Scotty Hopson. Tournemant MVP was Jeremy Anderson from the Ballerz...
  17. Great tourney, and great run by Pump 'n Run!!! This tourney featured great representation by Tennessee teams, and a second epic matchup between the Ballerz and Pump 'n Run. Willie Kemp left the Ballerz and is now playing for Pump 'n run, which added even more fuel to a great rivalry... The Ballerz led by 13 in the second half of this Sweet 16 Championship bracket matchup between the two teams that squared off last weekend. Pump 'n Run came back, and a Willie Kemp last second shot sent the game into overtime where Pump 'n Run pulled out a 77-74 squeaker... What a great game, and too bad these two had to meet so early in the tourney... Of note: Memphis Pump 'n Run beat the #1 ranked team in the Nation, Indy Spiece Heat by 14... Midstate Ballerz beat the #2 ranked team in the Nation, DC Assault 92-76... Also, The Midstate Ballerz 16's won the Real Deal on the Hill 16:u bracket, beating Memphis YOMCA Magic in the semis, and Arkansas Wings in the finals... Congrats to Pump 'n Run and the Ballerz on bringing home Championships at this elite event...
  18. Willie played well... He's such an unselfish player, and great defender...
  19. Once chemistry is acheived, the Ballerz Select team is going to be very good, and will have a great chance to showcase themselves in front of college coaches in July... As for the Elite, there are just too many guards to move everyone to the Elite... Last weekend, Kemp, Gaines, Evans, Mack Gardner, Jeremy Jones, Barry Stewart, Josh Mack, and Josh Johnson all played well at the guard position, proving an inredible amount of depth at the guard position...
  20. In 17's, the Midstate Ballerz beat Queen City Prophets (OH) in the semi's and Memphis Pump 'n Run in the Finals to win the Memphis Pump 'n Run Classic... In 16's, the Midstate Ballerz beat the Arkansas Hawks in the semi's and Memphis Celtics in the Finals to win the championship... Congrats to both teams on a great weekend, and good luck in the upcoming Real Deal on the Hill in Arkansas... The Ballerz 17's have the Nation's #1 and #2 ranked teams in their pool (Spiece Indy Heat and DC Assault) (Top 10 Travel Team Rankings, Scouthoops.com)... In the Pump 'n Run Classic, Liberty's Brandon Evans won the tourney MVP award. Greenbrier's Logan Greer and Gaves Co (KY)'s Randon Cavette also made the All-Tournament team for the Ballerz...
  21. Thaddeus Young, Pierre Niles, Wayne Chism, Brandon Powell, Wesley Channels, Mareco Stinson, Tavarus Payne, David Evans, Deagelo Riley, and Jeremy Kelley, among others, play for Memphis Pump 'n Run, one of the Top 5 ranked teams in the Nation... Willie Kemp plays for the Midstate Ballerz Elite... The Ballerz and Pump 'n Run matched up in the finals of the Pump 'n Run Classic this past weekend. The Ballerz beat Queen City Prophets in the semi's, and Pump 'n Run beat Houston Hardballers to reach the finals...
  22. The big kid from Shelbyville, about 6'7, left the Travelers and is playing with SE Elite...
  23. Sorry, those teams were mainly from last year... Jay Watkins, Jeremy Williams, Marium Price, Earnest Fields, etc are all with Ark Angels... Wayne Chism is with the Ark Hawks...
  24. Murfreesboro Stars will be at Boo Williams in Va this weekend Both the Ballerz and Pump 'n Run will be at the Pump 'n Run Classic this weekend Memphis Pump 'n Run will be at Real Deal on the Hill at U. of Arkansas April 15-17 Midstate Ballerz Elite will also be at the Real Deal on the Hill (www.realdealonthehill.com) The following weekend, the Ballerz and Pump 'n Run will be at Houston Kingwood, while the Stars will be at Nexl Level in Dallas... Not sure of Memphis Y's schedule. I think they'll be at Boo Williams and Houston Kingwood, but not sure... I'm working on getting Pump 'n Run, the Stars, the Ballerz, and Ark Angels (the other best team in Tn this year, with a few kids from Ark) to the same tourney... That would be a GREAT event...
  25. Rumor is that YOMCA may not have a strong 17:u team. Not sure, just a rumor. Rumor is that Memphis Pump 'n Run is the team to beat in the State, with Thaddeus Young, Pierre Niles, Brandon Powell, etc... Should be a great year for TN AAU Hoops...
