As the state tourney soon comes to an end and everyone returns home to read all the wonderful things written on coach t i wonder what they will think... I know coach t is completely peoples opinion and everyone is in titled to their own opinion but i think alot of people need to realize that perhaps some of the posts should be a little less mean...I am a player and i read these posts about our team and i just really wanted to say that we including every team in the tourney as well as all softball teams work extremely hard all year long to go to state and to do our best... Not everyone can play their best game everyday..Good teams lose it happens you dont have to talk down about them just because they lose...derogatory things shouldnt be said about a team just because someone gets on coach t and predicts that they will win state..that is not the team saying that they are gonna win or possibly even the own teams fans...like i said people have their own opinions but remember as a player i read these posts and i just find it interestin how mean some parents can be, when their kids have great sportsmanship maybe the parents should learn a few things from their kids and be a little more possitive about other teams...also i kno their are great rivals out there and that is always great fun but dont get mean about it that only worsens things...once again u have ur own opinion u can choose to read this and be like this kid needs to get off coach t but then again u could read it and realize that maybe some of the posts u made could be more possitive!! thanks and congrats to all the girls who worked extremely hard this year..its been an honor playing with and against each and everyone of you!!

Great Tourney - weather was great. Some rain during last two games but well worth it. All teams we played had great sportsmanship and were very good teams. We were impressed with competition.

Congrats. We lost to Hoover last year in the semi's as well. You can probably count on getting stuck in the other side of the bracket next year. They don't like to take chances on not getting to the championship of their own tourney. Do you know how the championship game turned out, or who they played in the finals?
yea well thats how it goes sometimes ya kno..um they were playin vestavia hills in the championship game i dont kno how it turned out cause we headed back towards tennessee after the game...according to some of the hoover parents they play vestavia alot and there in there district i think and vestavia usually wins so my guess would be that vestavia won but never know...

Read where Father Ryan went 2 and 2 on the weekend losing 1-0 to SBA in the tournament. How did SBA do overall? We(GPS) had a tough weekend. We seemed tired/flat all day Saturday, which you can not afford against the good teams in this tournament. I'm sure we'll be back.
we(sba) got 3rd. we lost to hoover in the semis 1-0 in 9 innings on an error..it was a hard game all around both teams played hard and we(sba) couldnt get a run for anything...we also played kinda flat not our best weekend but no excusses rite...and those were some good teams always a good tourney.. losing is never fun or good but when it comes down to it may is what matters!!! this is all preparing us for then..
-
Good Luck to you (GPS) too. It will be really good competition this weekend. We (SBA) are looking forward to the challenge.......

Thanks for the previous post. We did beat Keller TX yesterday 1-0. Keller does have an incredible team. It was a great win for St. Benedict.

C's Dad - as you can read from the previous posts you really touched alot of folks today. I am a parent of a senior who pitches and will pitch in college. I am the "pacer" of our team. Everytime she takes the mound, I have to get up. I love and hate every minute of it. She has surpassed all my expectations thats for sure, I am just so proud she gets to do what she loves. - GOOD LUCK to all the teams this season and to the "pacing" parents........

After 5 years as Head Coach of the Germantown Gold, Coach K has resigned from Germantown in order to pursue the dream of her own organization the "Mid South Blue Angels". Coach K would like to wish Germantown much continued success.
As Coach of the Germantown Gold, Coach K's teams won 2 National Championship (2006/2008) and 20+ student athletics have signed college scholarships, most to Div 1 schools.
The Mid South Blue Angels will focus on players 13 and older with the goal of early development and preparation to play gold ball and ultimately advance to college level.
She has her staff lined up and try out dates are set for the Fall 2010/2011 season. If you are interested in trying out for any of the new teams please visit www.tristatefastpitchelite.com or call Coach K on her cell at 901- 849-3563.
