  1. I think Monterey had two kids ejected. No 42 / Caleb Miller was one -- he was caught throwing a punch in a pile. Also No. 50 / Jimmy Wilson got the boot. Watertown wrapped up the regular season 6-4. Monterey 2-8.

Might want to make sure about that Eddie... No one was notified of any ejections for MHS..

  2. I couldnt find a thing already posted for this game so i started my own. It was a nasty, dirty, hard hitting game out there tonight. These guys dont like each other so much. There were severall moments, especially towards the end of the game, that it looked like there was about to be a fight. Watertowns #50 got ejected. There were at least 8 personal fouls in the game and probably more. Watertowns coach got one after yelling at a referee about a dirty hit by a monterey player on Eaton. Monterey was really dirty in this game, Ive never seen that from them before. One play in particular was pretty bad. On a punt, about the time the whistle was blown a Monterey player hit a Watertown player in the back blind and knocked him down. After that, well after the whistle was blown the Monterey guy hit him in the back as he was getting up and drew a flag. Watertown blew Monterey out big time too 33-6. It was a nasty game and i think this has become a new rivalry.

Yes Spider, this did turn out to be a nasty game but don't make it seem as though Monterey was the only one being dirty. Yes most was uncalled for but I personally was standing on sideline and can tell you of two times that MHS's return guy let the ball go and well after the ball had hit the ground and was rolling a WHS player layed a dirty hit on an MHS kid right in front of an offical on both occasions and it was never called. BLAZE EATON IS DEFINITELY A GOOD PLAYER BUT THE KID NEEDS AN ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT!!!!! Bash me all you want but the kids attitude on the field is bad. Yes there is a kid or two that may have the same problem for MHS but I assure you that the head coach stops that kind of nonsense before it gets out of hand..... This was probably the worst officiated game I have ever seen... Don't get me wrong, the outcome would not have changed but if this team of officials continue to manage games in the same manor as tonight, PLAYERS COULD GET HURT! Yes #50 for WHS was ejected but it could have been a number of kids from either team. I personally think Coach Webster could send this game film to TSSAA and appeal the kids ejection. The head official tonight didn't have a clue!!! I wish Watertown the best of luck next wk, definitely some tuff and talented kids there at WHS. And keep your heads up boys at Monterey. Seasons like this come and go, learn from them and get ready for a new season!!!

  3. Did I miss something? We won the game. Harriman lost. Discipline.....either you have it or you don't. Oneida has it. Go Oneida (1992 State Champs)

    I just have one question... DID I MISS SOMETHING??? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

Hey Rockin Chair... Is that u, ol daddy of I love hs sports???

  4. I would just like to add that in the 50's and 60's Frank Gifford was the quaterback for the New York giants. However, Fran Tarkington came into the picture and left for the Minnesota Vikings where he bacame the king of all those who live in choke land. Scotty and Captain Kirk had a much better relationship with each other than did Bones and the Captain. Spock was constantly being logical and many annonymous henchmen gave their lives in the pursuit of infinite knowledge. However, on the subject of this thread: Go Monterey!!!! .

p.s. had a few minutes and decided to have some fun. Mr. Polesit put me up to it. Good luck to all this week and may all remain injury free.

  5. Yeah...I saw that. I don't think I've ever seen an article quite like that. I thought the media was unbiased.

Have you ever noticed how the H-C always rips SC. I guess they are still mad at our coach for leaving.

Hey Twan, Delk wasn't rippin SC, just the officiating from the game. I think if you had a chance to see the game film from that night you would have the same complaints as everyone from Monterey, especially if that had happened to SC. Lets just say that the powers to be have reviewed the game film and agreed that several calls were blown. Best of luck to you against Macon this week!

  6. All they have to do is run it on Monterey and they will not win cause last year they could not stop #21 for watertown i think he had about 220 yrds on them but maybe they have got better but proly not

Hmmmmm <_< , you talk about #21 from watertown and how well he ran the ball on monterey last year then I look at your name and its "WHSPLAYER#21". You couldn't be that stupid. I hope your just tryin to be funny tootin your own horn and all!! :thumb:

All you had to say was "they couldn't stop ME last year, I had 220yrds!" lol

  7. I find it interesting everybody is considering the idea that Delaney won't be back at 100% this week. I don't know much about hip flexors, but from what I can piece together they are not a season-ending injury.

Wasn't that the year we went 6-4? If so, I'd like some more of that, please. :(

No you don't know much.... They are season ending when that hip flexor rips a piece of bone off that is connected to the pelvis.... He will be lucky to only miss 3-4 games. 100% by this week?NO WAY This injury is usually seen in sprinters. Happens suddenly usually during full out sprint, not like a pulled muscle, this is an evulsion fracture. And by the way it was described to me as to what happened on the play you can bank on this!!

  8. Well....I see a couple of Gville fans have made their way on here to eat that crow. But where is the rest of them. All I heard for 47 pages is how Gville was going to win this year!!! What happened in tonights game? Come on now Tiger fans. What happened? Oh, that's right, you had three turnovers. Guess what, that is football. Hold on to the ball or know your reads and don't throw into coverage. Surely, after all these pages you have some other excuse.

Recap...Gordonsville played a good first half. SC was in a defense that was getting tore up by the Givlle offense, but make no mistake, it was corrected and SC won in a route. I can't remember but one firstdown in the second half by the Tigers. Total domination in second half.

Come on "I Love HS FB" quit rubbin it in!!! How many people ended up at the game? I want a head count!!

  9. hey dewey ill set you down big boy you warm up and tell me when you are ready if you think you can hack it oh yea and polesit i heard u played AT UT.............................................................................................................................................MARTIN and my boys are right you are way past your prime old boy ill take your three pitches one of them is long gone GET OFF ME BALL SEE YOU BOYS AT THE GAME oh yea and dewey learn how to spell you were way off 7 INNING SHUTOUT WHEN WE PLAY GORDONSVILLE BABY HEY HIT A LICK HATCH

Looks like I've got a whole lineup to face!! It might take 4 for you Horton, one to brush you back!!!! I may not have hit in college but give me 10 pitches and I think I could top your performance in Hartsville :thumb: !

  10. how many times did i strike out last year? i think 2 times only in the ternament and u think that u can strike me out. ok i know that u used to be able to play but u are a old man now.But when u fill froggy start warmen up i will be at practice sometimes ok! :)

Thats not saying much considering what you were facing!!!

Oh, and 14, I've got 3 for you too! Maybe we can set aside a couple minutes after practice one cause thats all it will take :thumb:

  12. Phil Clark. Was national coach of the year at Germantown winning state after state and a NATIONAL title and then going to Bartlett and turning a program that nobody wanted to talk about into contenders. Ya'll leave him out ever time you talk about coaches and he's not even on the say level as most of the coaches you are talking about. Good Luck to everyone on your season.

He done some top notch recruiting  while at Germantown also!!!
