All I was asking for was some info and see if anyone had tics for sale, whats the problem with that. Riverdaleman was nice enough to help me. I understand its not hs football but atleast it is Football related unlike other topics that go on for pages and mods. don't seemed concerned to shut them down. I guess just certain mods. with control egos............

You have a couple fo options....got www.titansonline.com and go to the message board...or with it being a preseason game you can just go to the bridge and get a couple probly for $20-free or you can go to the stadium inn and look for the TOMB tailgate (titansonline message board) and someone usually has tickets.  GOOD LUCK

There is a great discussion going on on National Strength and Cond. Assoc.'s (NSCA.com) message board about the power clean.  Several CSCC's from major college football programs are giving their points of view on this lift plus many others.  How many people on this board are strength coaches(certified)? I think a lot of lifts are just passed down traditionally. By no means am I saying that the power clean or any others are blown out of proportion but I do believe that certain lifts are just done because it worked for other schools, players, etc.  I think the power clean works but I am by far an expert on it.  Not all workout programs work for every class that comes up.  I do know that you have to tallor your workout program to the type athlete you have on the team.  Just because Nebraska has typically had a high profile strength and conditioning program doesn't mean its going to work for every hs.  And just because USC won the national champship doesn't mean its the best thing out although I bet alot of people were itching to learn about their program as soon as they won.... JMO

TBCA is the Tennesse Baseball Coaches Assoc. They sponsor a showcase every summer at MTSU. Four teams are selected from the eight regions (one from 1 & 2, one from 3 & 4, etc.). Players are selected via tryouts. It is intended for rising juniors, but underclassmen may tryout and are eligible.

 

It is well-run. College coaches form everywhere and a good representation of pro scouts will be there. Best of all it is FREE. They even provide housing on campus if you want.

 

Last year a scout from the Pittsburg org ran a try out for each team. Then the teams played a round robin.

 

It's a great place to get on the radar or raise your stock if you are already there.

umm HS won the first game 7-2 <i think> but we lost the last game by 4 points not sure of the score maybe 9-5 <not certian tho> HS .. we are proud of u ... yall deserved it way more than monterey did and i dont care what anyone from there has to say bout it but when a parent calls a player from the other team a b*t*h i would call that bad sportsmanship but "no monterey deserves it they are soo good they are perfect.. ladies dont let anyone put u down" *rolls eyes* omg I think I might know why we lost maybe Megan got sick from having to touch the same ball as monterey's pitcher did .. haha    <jus kiddin Hs> ... no matter what anyone says yall are a 10x better team than they are .. u might not have won... but u tried ur hardest and u have great sportsmanship ... we love yall and good luck in the regionals !! thumb  oh and girls member the sunblock

Moms, dads, just a fan or whomever you may be, I am frankly getting sick and tired of the misunderstanding about the socalled "8th grade pitcher from RBS being called a b**ch. IT DID NOT HAPPEN!!!! What you thought you (whoever you are or heard it from) heard was a Monterey parent yell at the ump saying "Thats an illegal PITCH".

The mother of the 8th grader (I'm sure she is a nice woman) came stomping up to the consession to let the HS coach know that someone called her daughter a b**ch then continued to give angry looks at Monterey parents and myself... Ma'am, I am sorry for the misunderstanding (if you read these boards) but nothing could be farther from the truth about someone saying that too your daughter. As a matter of fact prior to the pitchers mother coming to the consession all talk was about how good her daughter is the be an 8th grader and how she will be tough to face the next 4 years.... THESE ARE THE FACTS, BELIEVE WHAT YOU MAY!!!

From what I saw against Wartburg on fri, I was impressed with a lot of the under classmen. They played good defense, made the routine plays and if not for a misplayed ball or two in the late innings, and a pitch you wish you could have back this game could have easily went the other way. They went to the plate and battled trying to make good things happen and kept their heads in the game going in to a 0-0 5th?(if im correct).

Getting the seniors back this week added with some underclassmen stepping up and things should get rollin and show the potential these guys have got!! thumb

They lost to wartburg 4-1 last night and they didnt impress me much at all. I seen two players get picked off at third from fakes to second thats pityful. I know a little leageu team that plays better fundimentals then that.

Evidentlly you don't know much about the game 03. Was only one out at third and that came from a 1st and 3rd situation where runner on first was stealing, SS came up and cut the throw from the catcher off and caught the runner on 3rd with too big a lead. Runner actually slipped trying to get back to the bag but should have took off for home plate as soon as the catcher threw to 2nd. And for your info, 2 starting OF, starting 1st and 2nd basemen were gone to DC for Senior trip.

Will have to say too, that the pitch for Wartburg wasn't bad.. Probably as good if not better than the best pitchers in 7A.....

Pickett finally got back on the right track today beating van buren 10-9, and clarkrange forfeited the rest of their games so I guess we won that one 7-0 on tuesday. We got clay tomorrow. Did McCleren pitch any today?

Don't really matter, but I thought I would say it.  Russell went 4 for 4 ,2 doubles and 2 singles vs Montery tonight.  1 double and 1 single coming off of Walker, and the others coming off #3, Don't know his name.

kaexo, I don't know what your smokin but if I'm not mistaken the Russell kid only batted twice, maybe three times and I don't recall seeing a double come from anyone much less two. It was a five inning game with Walker throwing 34 pitches through 3, Ward with 14 pitches in the 4th, and Phillips with 23or24 pitches in the fifth because of a couple walks... The two times I seen the Russell kid hit he nubbed one back to the pitcher, and fought one off of the handle that drop in shallow rt field, not exactly a laser..... Stop tryin to pump this guy up. I was trying to be nice earlier and give the benefit of the doubt, but he couldn't play for Vo-Tec, and they don't have a baseball team!! I mean when you call a pitch- out and you still can't throw the 5th or 6th fastest runner out(not even close). Stop blowin smoke kaeXo.
