I do know much about middle TN football, but here`s top three contender`s to come out of the east #1. Jefferson County ( snuck up on people last year, this year they have the talent and the will to go far in the playoff`s) #2 DB ( tradition of winning, been the best in the east for many years,will be faceing the tought compition that Jeff Co. and Oar Ridge have put out in years) #3 Oak Ridge ( tough lost in the playoffs last year should rebound with another athletic team, not enough to beat either of the top two however. These are my prediction`s a lot can chage before or after the season starts

I talked to the coach of Mcminn Co. not to long ago he said they will run a mix of the Wing-t and the veer but with a lot more passing. Look for him to come out in the shot gun and trick plays at least twice a game if not more

I think Jeff Co. has a chance to go far in the playoff`s. I can see them getting to the simifinal`s after that its a toss up. We have some great athltes on the roster, also a great head coach. They do have ? at some position`s. QB,DE,G,C The o-line is bringing back the two starting tackles but both Guard`s are new starters so is our center, we will have to wait and see if they can get the job done. D-line is also a ?. All but one starter is gone, we have depth at DT but not DE both starter from last year are gone ( #86Clamon to Army, and #13 Reliford move to LB) there are 4 player`s who could fill the position Luther,Housel,Bly, and i heard the transfer from oklahoma has a good shot at it. the QB position looks good now depth is a concern. Everywhere else looks good, injuries could change all that.

Let`s get something stright right now I`m not JPATS never was never will be. I`m a former player now a fan of the team. Now it is true I agree with him on some points but, not nearly all 1. I don`t belive Jeff Co. will beat DB or West by 4 TD `s like JPATS does, while I do belive they will beat DB I don`t think the will blow them out. 2. I`m not saying Jeff Co. will win state, its waaaaaaaaaaay too early to say who will win state. I do think they have a good chance to get to state, however a lot of things can happen between now and Dec, injuries, player`s getting in trouble. 3. There is no way shiverdecker is going to start. Its a big enough jump Freshman Football to V Football its an almost imposible jump from middle school to V. He has to learn the Wing-T offense ( not an easy thing to) in 2 weeks before the first scrimmage then learn the whole offense by the first game NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. 4. Last I`m out here to get the respect for Jeff Co that we didn`t get last year(ranked 34th in 5A and 116 overall) I`m not here calling us the best team in TN or anything like so if you don`t mind stop putting me in the same class as JPATS

Coach Scott Meadows Jefferson County, one of the best offensive minds in high school football. Look at his track record every where he has been the offense been great. Mary-ville`s Coach is another great offensive Coaches

Jeff Co`s line is a bit suspect except for the tackles, both G`s are new starters and so is our center

I`m mean he writes a book on how to stop thw Wing-T that say what the weakness of his defence and what works on certain defence and what dosen`t it was stupid, Coach Meadows at Jeff Co Read the book and the next week tourched his defence

i`m here to set the record straight 1. I`m not this JPATS person, never was never will be. I was a football play last year now I`m a fan. 2.The statement that Jeff Co. will win state was not cocky, it was a bold confident statement I personally think we have what it takes to win state. 3. Beating or losing to Morristown West has nothing to do with wining or losing state they are not in our reigon or class 4. DB will be beating. Here is why, in the regular season game I admitt we got the crap beat out of us. what you may or may not know is FB\LB Jakeem Talyor now playing for Carson Newman was injured and did not play a minute,and 5A athlete of the year Scooter Houston was injured in the first quarter and didn`t play the rest of the game, the playoff game was much different both those player`s had a huge role in the second game. This year will be much different, from the day after the game the team has been working in the weight room very hard, and have talked about nothing but that game and how we will never step off a field in the playoffs knowing we could have done more. The team is hungry, very fast and experrienced, Ihave a lot of respect for DB don`t get me wrong but, I think there time has come, They like the other teams we played in the playoffs expected to win easilly it didn`t happen from the first play from scrimmage everyone know it was a different team. WE HAVE ONLY GOTTEN BETTER WHAT ABOUT YOUR TEAM?
