Their catcher knocked out the second baseman for missing a ball. they had to throw water and ice on him to revive him and the umps said thats the coaches problem. Poor umpires. and tssaa

CONGRATS TO PIGEON FORGE!!! Whatever happened in the dugout is their business... not tssaa and definitely not Ripley's. as for running over the 1st baseman. it was just a baseball play..it happens...not intentional....just playing hard and trying to get on base!! I take nothing away from the Ripley kids...they play hard and have an excellent club..very impressed!...BUT! their coaches and fans need to CHILL!! very rude!! Take a lesson from your kids and grow up!!

To be the best you have to beat the best. It starts with Unicoi. I'll also say the winner of this game has a chance to beat Pigeon Forge. They are very good, but not unbeatable.

With Region 2-3A already full, we can't imagine anyone else coming in.  So far it looks like this

KINGSTON

CARTER

SCOTT CO.

 

That is really to many to have in one region.  We also can't imagine Sequoya and Tellico Plains wanting to be in that region.  Are they asking for a flogging?

 

Although if Sullivan North moves up

then that would clear the way for 1 maybe two teams.  Scott Co. is one logical choice to go into that region.  While Gibbs is a Knoxville school would love to go into that region to be more competitive.  Carter Also close to that region might also be a logical choice.  TSSAA is trying to keep more rivalries, and keep travel down, but sometimes and can't help it.

Is Carter not a 4A school? are they moving down? According to Sullivan North staff members they are definitely moving up to 4A next year?

anyone hearing any news on possible changes in 3A next year? Been hearing that Sullivan North is going 4A and Gibbs and Scott County are coming to Region1 3A.

Julie Poston of Pigeon Forge is becoming a good pitcher. She transferred from Farragut and is a junior. She has good speed and pretty good control. She throws many different pitches. She is really an asset to a young Pigeon Forge team. If she keeps improving, watch out for Pigeon Forge during district tourney action!!

Good job PF Lady Tigers!! Keep it up!! Heard you all have a good pitching staff!! Also heard you are a solid defensive team!! Can't wait to see you all play!! Good Luck this season!

I can assure you that Seymour is no joke! They are the REAL DEAL! You might be able to contain Brooke Johnson for a quarter , but she will still score her 30 plus points per game no matter what you try to do to stop her! They are one of the best teams in AA in East TN. Watch out for Pigeon Forge also. When they are on their game, they are hard to handle! South Greene is tough, but can be beaten!

The problem with Pigeon Forge is Jack Parton, Perry Schrandt, and Larry Cannon! If they would let the boyz play and not monitor from the press box they would have a good team!

 

Also, is Flip Pearson not helping the "Tigers" this year?

 

That could be a good thing or a bad one!

 

No matter, the best thing that happened to Pigeon Forge is that they passed the ordinance for drinking, so now the playaz won't have to travel to Gatlinburg or Sevier County to have themselves a beer!

 

Less drinking and driving the better!
