  1. You’re right. I wrote the Goodpasture score down wrong. Sorry.

I did this for the FC and Coalfield games and it worked out pretty close. It is not a science… just food for thought.

If we take 9 points off. DCA was 14 better in the second comparison and BBS 24 points better in the last comparison and BBS is 7 points better over all.

The post was simply four comparisons of common opponents’ performance of an opponent. This is the best indicator we have since we have heard all year that DCA was the best team last year except for one injured player.

    TheScout,

We know that both teams a basically the same as last year and BBS was 23 points better. So are you saying that one player being 100% instead of 60% or 70% will make DCA 20 points better on offense and make their defense give up 20 less points? I know that the kid is good, but I am not sure 30% to 40% of one player can make that much of a difference. Of course, DCA may have had other injured players that I don’t know about.

As I said before… the team with the least amount of turnovers wins by 7.

DCA also lost their backup running back Matt Meachum in the semis. He was an excellent blocker and really became the unsung hero after DCA lost Wooden. Wooden wasnt even 60% last year in the state game and pretty much had to play b/c of the loss of Meachum. Also since Wooden carried the team so far last year on his shoulders DCA's other attacks lacked what they needed. This year the passing game is doing 10 times better than last year and the defense has stepped up a ton. DCA is more of a well balanced attack now, not just Wooden. DCA is not the same team Boyd faced last year (even though they only lost 3 seniors).I think Boyd is a great team. They were amazing last year and I agree that there is no point in the "what ifs". We cant change history. I believe DCA has some unfinished business this year with Boyd. All you hear about on these posts by Boyd people is how they cremed DCA last year and all. None of them mention the fact of the injuries, while that is all DCA says.. "injuries injuries injuries..." However, I have seen nothing but classy posts this year from the Boyd fans. They are a great bunch of people and I respect the fact that they really havent been on here with negative and unclassy comments. I'm not sure who will pull it off because I have not seen Boyd play this year but I do know it will be an amazing game. I will be supporting DCA in this one.

    GO WILDCATS!

  2. To anyone from DCA talking about the Cascade loss last week !!! DON'T TALK TRASH ABOUT THE CASCADE CHAMPIONS !!! Now back to what I was gonna say, DCA's players parents can't buy them a division with undersized players who play because they love the game, but because someone had gone & you might as well say recruited DCA some players to come there so they can have a better chance of winning ... DCA , you got your own division next year for other " PAY TO PLAY " players also. If you want to play public schools, I got one word for you, how about RIVERDALE ??? I think the phrase "DCA's the best " just lost its luster on that one word. I mean they are more DCAs size right ? Since all you do is brag on how big your players are take them to Murfreesboro. No guts No glory ... ha ha ha !!

I am tired of people's comments on private schools recruiting... first of all, most of the students at DCA live within 10 minutes of each other. Way over half of them would still be at the same school if it was a zoning issue. Second, if you go back you will notice that the majority of DCA's players (and esp. the "best" players) have attended DCA since early elementary. Our "recruiting" coaches must be very good if they can tell how well a kid will play football by the way they hold a crayon. I dont understand why people whine so much about private schools. The difference I believe, is that DCA, CPA and others are very rich in the football tradition. A majority of the kids want to be in the program. Some public schools may lack that tradition causing some students who could be excellent ball players not to play. If these private schools recruited they would be in the division with MBA and BA and all them. Just show some class and not whine. It wont do you any good, instead focus all that energy into something useful

  3. Lets just settle this on the field boys... we have less than 2 days... Let the best team win, whether it be CPA or DCA... both schools have class and while all this trash talking is going on in the message boards its quite different at the games. We do respect each other.

-Landerblue- there are several hotels right across the street from opry mills and opryland hotel... radisson, shoneys inn, etc. There is also a cracker barrel right there. All this is approx 5-10 minutes away from DCA... I hope you enjoy your time here in Nashville! and thanks for showing interest in our 2 schools.

    4life- Who are you? :D

  4. I have to agree about 4life... while you may be a BIG fan sometimes you can have that attitude that turns people away from the DCA program. Just be careful. You say you are young, so odviously you are a student. Just dont let your posts reflect too much on the school. As of now, we are well respected by other schools and fans. Coming from a parents perspective, I would just like to keep it that way! Thanks for being a fan though!

  5. well a mere 23 months ago we met and dusted your school, and as i recall we beat a great cpa team the very next week. If we beat you then i see no reason why we cant do it again

Ok well as I recall, ssssssssssss you were saying that yall beat us in 2001.... well that would mean that this years seniors were sophomores that year. We have a completely new team and so do you! We also only have 4 seniors on our team and one is injured. I think you are forgeting the fact that most of the people who played in 2001 have graduated and moved on and the ones who were freshman, sophomores and in some instances in jr. high are now our team. Your school has also lost those "good" players that beat us that year. What you are saying is ridiculous and I would be embarrassed if I was you. You must understand that the players on the field are not the same that were on the field in 2001, and YES that makes a difference!!

  6. I have complete trust in the DCA team. Especially now since our moral is higher after the win over ezell, our big rival. CPA might be last years champs but I havent heard much heat about them this year! It will be a good game though. We are looking forward to seeing you at our house!

  7. I believe Goodpasture will take this one. I dont know much about BGA this year but I know Goodpasture has a lot of strong players. With friends on their team, I know they can pull off a win, especially after last weeks game! Good Luck Goodpasture! <_<
