Cleveland 28, White County 7
Well, there you go. Not a wholly unexpected outcome. Obviously we would like to have a shot at them with our starting quarterback but that's football.
Good luck to Cleveland the rest of the way.
-
White County charges $5, and everybody complains because up until a couple of years ago it was $3.
Senior citizens get in free, I believe.
-
63-0??? No way.
Walker Valley isn't THAT bad, and Red Bank isn't THAT good. I don't expect RB to have much problem, but that prediction was just absurd.
-
Nice win for Stone Memorial. Rivalries that start out 1-0 are always a good thing.
-
If every WC thread for the rest of the year is going to contain this pointless and uninteresting debate, it is going to be one LONG season.
My official prediction is..... Cleveland by 9.
-
No you don't know much.... They are season ending when that hip flexor rips a piece of bone off that is connected to the pelvis.... He will be lucky to only miss 3-4 games. 100% by this week?NO WAY This injury is usually seen in sprinters. Happens suddenly usually during full out sprint, not like a pulled muscle, this is an evulsion fracture. And by the way it was described to me as to what happened on the play you can bank on this!!
Apparently now they are saying it wasn't a hip flexor. But I recall one of the Titans not missing too much time from one of these, maybe in 2000 or so. That's what I based my opinion off of.
EDIT: And off topic, I was pretty sure "fastpitchnut" was Pistol too. Interesting.

From what I can understand with this post you are saying that people in Warren Co. think that the defense is great and you feel otherwise and think that the Cavs offense is going to be that Horse to come and crush us.
On the contrary. The WC defense is very good, and should be admired. But without an offense, their good play is as wasted as the beauty of a crushed butterfly.
-
Let us put it this way. Confucious once came across a butterfly sitting in the middle of the road. He stopped and pondered that butterfly's beauty and grace. He admired its qualities for some time. But then a rider on a horse came along, and crushed the butterfly under hoof. And it was all for naught.
Warren County's defense is that butterfly.

All of this is worthless spam, you know.

If 6-4 satisfys you and you didnt see anything wrong with last years team then I cant help you.
If we go .500 or better every other season, I will happily live in my world of delusion. Just win baby.

I find it interesting everybody is considering the idea that Delaney won't be back at 100% this week. I don't know much about hip flexors, but from what I can piece together they are not a season-ending injury.
Trust me he caters to certain kids every day remember last year and Dell and for that matter the entire senior class got away with murder. I never seen kids more pampered in all my life. And it showed on the field.
Wasn't that the year we went 6-4? If so, I'd like some more of that, please.
-
If Delaney is 100%, too close to call.
If Delaney plays hurt or can't play, Cleveland by two scores.
-
The Pioneers will not win another game.
Oh come on, think positive. There's always Cumberland County.
-
Solid win for Cleveland.

FINAL SCORE: White Co. 17, Warren Co. 0
Warren County's defense is stout. Best we've played this year so far, for sure. Their offense... well... they just couldn't get in a rhythm.
Officiating seemed subpar tonight. I'm just glad it didn't affect the outcome of the game.
Delaney injured at the end of a 62 yard touchdown run, word is that it is a hip flexor. MRI early next week to be sure. He's pretty essential to the offense, hopefully that's all it was.
Good luck to the Pioneers, hopefully your offense will get on track. Beat Cookeville, will ya? Thanks.
-
It seems that the White Co. defense has given up alot of points so far this year
Most of Walker Valley's points came in garbage time when we had the game won. Not to say our defense is great, but the final score was a tad misleading on that point.
-
My heart tells me White County big, but my head tells me that this is the kind of game that will be tougher than you might think.
-
Congrats warriors! who you have next week? monteray?
Heh. Warren County, actually.
I know, I know. What kind of two-bit school plays Warren County?!?! They're not even in a real region!!
-
Now there's a solid win.
-
That Walker Valley team has good fight in them, much improved from last year. Shouldn't be considered an easy win by anybody.
Hope that Walker Valley player with the dislocated hip is okay.
JJ Taylor with four touchdowns, nice night for him.
Four turnovers in the space of about a minute and a half in the fourth quarter. Nice.
-
Word from WC coach quote "i dont want to play cookeville anymore, if we were going to beat them it would've been this year. Cookeville is on a higher level of play then WC is at this point and it doesnt give any help starting off with an L every year."
Its about time some of you WC people learn. Stay home and play Walker Valley!! wait who? where exactly is that on a map?
You're precious.
-
Heck, number one might even do it.
-
What was the score last year?
34-6.
-
I'll go with White County in this one, though I don't expect it to be nearly as easy as it was last year.
Cookeville Vs. Warren Co.
in Class 5A & Class 6A

Hmm, looks like WC's offense did a lot better and their defense disappointed. My prediction was worthless!
