I don't know all the details but I've seen kids at other schools get a chance to play late in the game and they want to score .Sometimes even if they are supposed to  take a knee.

I can see that happening but it wasn't just other players in there Besty had there starters in trying to run the score up at the end of game. Take a knee to end the game good example Bame up 59-0 yesterday against Vandy they at the goal line could've easily made it 66-0 at end the game but they took 3 kneel down to end the game

  2. I dont have a time, but August 7, @ MO WEST. August 11 at 530 Home vs Unicoi County and August 13 Jamboree vs Suliivan South 2nd Quarter 6pm at South and Agust 14 Powell Valley Scrimage(no time or place yet)

So what the date and time of the Unicoi County scrimmage

  3. I???m not seeing this being much of a game for long. Second and third string will get a lot of burn. It would however be nice to finally overcome our QB situation. I say pick one already!!! The coaching staff isn???t going to be able to make everyone happy no matter what they do (especially the two sets of parents)???so just man-up, do the right thing for the team, and pick one. This team needs an offensive leader.

so who do u think they should pick as the qb

  4. When is the Mountain Lakes Jamboree?

The Mountain Lakes Conference has set the schedule and the pairing for its annual jamboree schedule for Thursday, August 16 at Sullivan South High School.

The festivities begin at 6:00 p.m. with a skills competition and will be followed by four quarters of football between all of the league's eight teams.

Included in the skiils competition are awards for the Fastest Linemen, Fastest Back, Longest Pass, Longest Punt, and Longest Kickoff.

The pairings set by the conference include Unicoi County vs Tennessee High, Sullivan Central vs Elizabethton, Sullivan East vs Johnson County and Sullivan South vs Sulllivan North. All quarters will be twelve minutes in duration.

Admission to the Jamboree is $5 per person.

    Here's the complete schedule:

    6:00 p.m. - Skills Competition Begins

1st Qtr. -- Unicoi County vs Tennessee High

2nd Qtr. -- Sullivan Central vs Elizabethton

3rd Qtr. -- Sullivan East vs Johnson County

4th Qtr. -- Sullivan South vs Sulllivan North

Note - The team listed first is designated as the home team.

  5. I think they have reflected on that game quite a bit. They have still referred to some mistakes that were made in that game and they've told them how to prevent them.

Many things THS did last year against Maryville wasn't up to Coach Stubbs satisfaction. He made that clear.

The scrimmages are most likely obligations that were made before this year.

All of that though, was in 2004.

    In 2005:

They will most likely have a equal offense. Judging by their practice, they are really focused on passing. The runningbacks most likely have the running plays down pat since that's all they did last year.

So far, I'm satisfied with their progress

Tennessee High will be tested early in the season due to all of their toughest games being away.

If they win conference and go far into the playoffs, all of those games will be at the Stone Castle.

***If anything needs to be fixed the most, I would say it needs to be some of the teams we play in this conference. We shouldn't have to have 7 conference games in the season. Five would be plenty.

hey thsvikings2004 are u going to the scrimmage today and if u are can u give me details on the team tonight i would go but i have to work

  6. Agreed. But the ride back from Maryville last year would have caused some to maybe reevaluate the entire program from that moment. Scrimmages aren't so telling. But those picked are not going to help the Vikings much. They actually benefit the other teams more than help THS.

what time is the THS and Happy Valley scrimmage and were is the scrimmage at plus were are the other 2 scrimmages against Powell Valley and Daniel Boone are at and the times also

  7. I know season schedules are determined way in advance but do scrimmage dates have to be set in stone? You would think that the coaching staff at Tennessee High would remember the game they tried to play last Thanksgiving. They had a talent-loaded team and from weak schedule to deer-in-the-headlights-coaching it was a disaster. I don't see how Powell Valley,VA to Happy Valley,TN will help this still loaded team improve. Is not good enough to say Julius Jones once played at the VA school. THS beat them like a drum last year. And will again this year. I hope. Will Daniel Boone give the Vikings a different look thats going to benefit THS in some way?

Even if you have to take this team as far as the Chattanooga area for a quality scrimmage its still better than the 3 teams listed above. Not knocking the Viking opponents. Just wanting to know if these 3 teams are going to help THS in some way for the coming season.

  8. i heard the other day from THS former Quaterback from last year that the Vikings are running the Carson Newman offense and that they still have the wing t in but only gonna run a few plays a game from that i talk to Marcus at the YMCA a few days ago and he told me that

  9. Good luck next week against Melrose so go down there and bring the Gold Ball back to East TN im an Vikings fan and i m gonna admit yall are a well coach team and everything yall was as good as i thought i yall will be my opinion yall have one of the best defense of coach in the state in TN yall did things against the Vikes offense that no other team could do and yall right we do need to play tougher teams in on non confersnce games to prepare us for games like we had tonight so maybe we meet yall again down the road but if we dont play tems from down this way or a team like D-B in the regular season we gonna feel like this way everytime we play teams like yall plus yall are and class act team and in my opinion yall could beat anybody in TN from 1a to 5a ball

  10. Knowing that you Vikings had a sell-out vs. East, I was wandering about tickets. For playoffs they are only sold at the gate and can't be pre-sold, right? A man could probably do a bit of scalping with these tickets... :o  Anyway, just wanting to make sure that tickets were only bought at the gate. I'm getting off my butt to watch this one cause the radio ain't going to cut it. ;)
