  1. What a game it was ! Congratulations to all my boys and to the Sycamore coaching staff and fans. I would also like to thank Howard for their hospitality and for welcoming us to their stadium. Special thanks to the lovely ladies in the "fish tent". Best fish sandwich I have found at a football game. Great to see Coach Tharp, Madison and Coach Boner.

Lets look ahead to next week. I BELIEVE.... GO WAR EAGLES

Thanks so much appreciate your advice, but all us moms can't find any cleats we like!! Looking forward to meeting you folks. Here's to a good game

  3. We will be leaving in a couple of hours to head to Chattanooga. Anyone know the weather forecast?? Packing the car and need to know what to bring.

May God bless each of the young men on this field this evening and may this game be injury free and the best team win!!

    GO WAR EAGLES!!!!

  4. For the most part, they are usually middle aged women. They usually have a son on the team, and the only time they watch sports is on Friday nights. The opposing team takes off on a 50 yard run, he is knocked out of bounds bounds, and they clap. (Kind of like when Phil Fulmer claps after a turnover) In their minds, their little Johnny has made a great play. Good grief!!!!!!!!

Don't you make me pull this car over!!

  5. I will lift up this family and your community during these trying days. I pray that you can each take comfort in the promise that during our trials and tribulations, we are assured that Our Father will draw nearer to each of His children and that God is still in control.

What a wonderful legacy he seems to be leaving for his family and community. God Bless you from the Sycamore community.

  6. The War Eagles are looking forward to this match up on Friday Night. Welcome to all the Macon County Fans and have a safe trip to Pleasant View. I believe our young men will provide an enjoyable evening of football and as always, prayers for a safe game on both sides of the ball.

War Eagles, play with heart and give it your all! Go War Eagles!!

  7. The Sycamore War Eagles are looking forward to travelling to Greenbrier Friday night. This is sure to be an exciting game and I feel confident that our young men are ready to do battle. The Greenbrier game has always been a big game and this year is certianly no different.

I know that each of the War Eagles understand what they are playing for ... Remember to play as One, Play with Heart and play for respect. I have watched this young program being built from the ground up and I am so proud of each of you. When you take the field tommorrow night, your family friends and classmates will be there to cheer you on. We BELIEVE in you. Go War EAgles!!!

  8. Well the War Eagles man-handled the Cheatham County cubs tonight at Mke Jarreau field in Ashland City 35-6. Sycamore got off to a great start with a 70 yd. TD run by Junior QB Jake Simms. Simms and Carrigan did some great work on the ground for the War Eagles tonight. Sycamore's defense made some good stops on the run, but Cheathams receivers sometimes slipped behind Sycamore's DB's and dropped the passes. Sycamore's secondary is going to have to step it up big time against Deaunte Mason and Co. from Pearl Cohn. Sycamore also needs to get the passing game going, but hey they won tonight and thats all that matters. Good job Sycamore and be ready for PC next Friday for homecoming.

So proud of my War Eagles tonight!! I knew when you took the field that you were playing together as a team. Jake Simms looked confident tonight and overall you guys really stepped up and filled in the gaps. Will be saying a prayer for Zach. Hope the news will be good from Vanderbilt. Congratulations guys. now you can turn your attention to PC, one at a time... GO WAR EAGLES

  9. Cheatham Co. will be without the services of three defensive starters and one offensive starter in this one. Injuries have really started to mount up for the Cubs heading into this one.

How is the young man doing who had to take an emergency trip to the hospital a few weeks ago for Sycamore???? I know he is the team's normal long-snapper but his name has completely slipped my mind. Does Sycamore have any other injury issues heading into this one (PLEASE NO NAMES IF YOU WISH TO KEEP THEM TO YOURSELVES FOLKS)?????

The young man who was in the hospital was #68 Sam Womack. He is out and doing well and I assume we will see him on the field Friday night. Always hate to see injuries this early in the season but when key players are out it only strengthens a program when it forces others to step up. I know you will be proud of your alma mater on Friday night. Go War Eagles....

  10. I know this isn't about a football game, but the members of this board have been so good to come to for prayer requests when a community is hurting and in grief.

This past weekend, two of our own have lost their lives by their own hands. A young man of 30, Corey Tate, and one of our own sophomores, a very proud Greenbrier Bobcat, Evan Hughes, at only age 15. Evan was by all accounts a well liked young man with many friends and he loved all sports.

I hope Coacht won't mind if I ask you all to remember these families, and the hurting friends of these young people in prayer. This school is still reeling from the losses this year of Sherry Freeland, a well-loved Math teacher, as well as a 2007 Senior, Jordan Starks, as a result of a car accident. I, for one, believe in the power of prayer, and hope that you do too.

    Thanks to all.

    GreenbrierCat2,

I am so glad to see you using this forum to reach out and ask for prayer for these families. My heart goes out to these families, your children and all in your community at these tragic losses. My prayer is that our Father will send the great Coforter to each and everyone of you. That your children will reach out to Him as they look for answers and pull together to comfort one another. I pray that each of you can take comfort in knowing that so many will be praying for you. May each of you in the BobCat community remember that "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart." Psalm 34:18. War Eagle Fan and your neighbors from Sycamore.
