  1. Seems like the past 2 years Hampton has been the better team, but something always seems to get them. Last year it was penalties and 7 fumbles. Unless HHS can get the monkey off their back (which I believe they will) it will be a good game. If Hampton comes prepared and ready they win 35-14. If unprepared 21-17 Johnson County. Either way it will be a slobber knocker.

  2. People do not realize that Hampton will be a considerablely better team this year than last. I say Hampton 54 Unaka 7 (Late Score) Yards will be very difficult to come by against this Hampton D. If the line has improved on their speed any, this team might be playing in the Boro.

  3. I believe Hampton will possibly have a better team this year than last. Sure they lost 3 seniors that are now playing college ball, but I believe the "team" is better. They have their entire line back, the quarterback, the entire backfield they used during their playoff run. They have depth like I have never seen at Hampton. I know losing AT and Johnathan Lyons hurt. But I believe they are still a very important part of this team. The guys on this team learned what it takes to become a great player by watching these 2 and have followed in their footsteps this off season. Look for Hampton to dominate this region. 3 td's might be as close as anyone gets.

  4. I never said the kid was going to be an all star or even see any playing time. I had just heard a pretty good sized boy had transfered in and was going to play ball. I asked Pujo if he knew anything about him. That is it. This kid might not even be able to tie his shoes for all I know. I was just looking for some info.

  5. I am not sure how Coalfield will be this year. But I am a Hampton fan that travled down last yaer. I would like to thank all the Coalfield people for being extremely hospitable. You guys should be proud of how your team and fans acted off the field. When we played Friendship I saw quite a few Coalfield fans there rooting us on. I hope you guys can make it back to Hampton this year so we can return the favor.

That was one of the hardest hitting games I have seen. All clean hits too. Both teams showed respect for each other. Rare to see.

  6. I know Hampton's line will be huge. How are they coming along with their speed. Should be the biggest and best line in northeast TN. I know Roop and Logan are huge. Should be some big holes to run through this year.

  7. Look guys, There should be no doubt as to who will have the best team in this region. Hampton has had the best team around for 2 years and lost the fewest number of seniors last year. They return a heck of a team. This maybe the best team during their 3 year run. I can not see anyone having any kind of rushing attack against them and I can't see anyone stopping them from running when and where they want to. Lunceford will have a great year at QB. I look for Hampton to run more shot gun this year. If they do, Look Out! they might just average 50+. Their D might give up under 10 a game with the back ups in. I have heard the weight room is full at HHS. Hey Pujo, What do you know about the transfer from Knoxville?

  8. I do not believe either team will show much on offence or defense. The outcome of this game will not affect the district tournament. They will have to turn around and play each other back to back. With that being said I believe HH wins based on talent.

In defense of Big Mike, I believe it is hard for a coach just to coach for one night in place of someone because it is still not really your team. I would say that he figures it was one game and he didnt want to screw up with a loss so he just stuck with the normal game plan. This is my opinion, but if something is done with the Mark situation, and Lunsford has to coach the rest of the year, the Bulldogs will be a very solid team come tournament time. Just by looking at his previous job as football coach at Cloudland, it seems to me that he demanded discipline when he was there. He was also a very good coach for Cloudland girls team. They were dominate for many years with him at the helm...

  10. This is an earl conference test for both teams. This conference will be tight. This game could decide a few things later in the year. Hampton is coming in playing pretty good ball. Coming of a huge win at Unaka although they did not play no where near to their potential. UH has rode senior Aaron Woodacre all year. I believe HHS will pull this one out. They have 2 or 3 great defenders that will switch on Woodacre. Their offense can score in bunches. I believe Hampton will limit Woodacre's touches. If they can take Woodacre out of his game they will come away with the victory.

    Hampton 72

    UH 58
