  1. Wow, what a game. Both teams deserved to win that one yesterday. Both pitchers threw great games, while CCS was able to get that one extra run. This marks the third straight year these two teams have played close games in the region championship. Good luck to the Bucs while they travel and play at Friendship on Friday, and especially to my boys from CCS. Way to go guys, no one gave yall a chance after losing 7 starters from last year's team, but yall went out and proved everyone wrong. Keep up the good work.

  2. RHSfan, thanks for the compliments. I speak for the rest of the Chattanooga Christian team when I say that the feeling is mutual. Trust me when I say this, ya'll are definitely good enough to make it to state. There's 8 teams going, and ya'll are absolutely one of the best 8 teams in single A. Hopefully we'll see you in Memphis, but until then, we have some business in district, region, and sub-state to take care of. Good luck to you in the post-season.

  3. I do know what it's like to lose a close friend, and it goes without saying that it...to be blunt...SUCKS Im so sorry this had to happen. Our thoughts and prayers go out to friends, family, and anyone else involed with him, from the Chattanooga Christian Baseball team...

  4. Tennessee Temple will win the 1A State Championship. They are playing too well right now to get beat. They also have experience on their side. Represent Chattanooga well, Temple. Bring it back here for a third straight year! Good luck.

  5. This game couldn't have been any closer. Neither team hit very well at all, especially not me, I was pitiful, but I'd have to give the hitting edge to Boyd for this game. Pitching was excellent for both teams. I know Boyd will get better, as will we, espcially when Nathan Long and Ben Wharton get back into the swing of things after missing basically all practices due to basketball.

Picasso, who are you? How often do I see you? I definitely did not homer, actually I didn't even get the ball out of the infield. Boyd's pitchers were very good, but I made them look like first round draft picks.

Orangecrush, what team are you with?

  6. Just to clear things up, the previous post on this thread from Dale was NOT made by me; it was made by Chris Charles. I was over at his house the other day and I left my name on his computer. I, unlike Chris, have better things to do than go around making posts like that. He's just jealous because I have a slight size advantage over him.

  7. i own joe wingate and the entire team of ooltewah and if i played ooltewah me versus their starting nine i would own them ... they wouldnt touch me on the mound and no one could get me out when i hit....im telling you remember the name it will haunt you for years to come!

  8. Hawk, it is the responsibility of the home team's coach to call in scores and give enough info for a writeup when there is not a member of the media there. If I were you, I'd use the lack of respect as more incentive to do well and show people that they were wrong in not giving you any. Use it as motivation.

  9. I agree with Mayer, I don't see how anyone on the outside can say whether or not what the kid did was wrong. I'm sure there are a lot of details to the situation that we do not know about. I was in this same situation at the beginning of this basketball season and plenty of people felt the need to comment on it without knowing even half of the important details; that can and will get very annoying. So please don't say the kid was wrong in quitting until you know EVERYTHING, that at least means talking to the player and the coach. KevB, how can you say that there is no explanation that holds weight for him leaving unless the coach asked him to do something illegal or immoral? There are so many things a coach can do that isn't illegal or immoral that can give a player a legitiment reason for deciding not to play anymore (for that team). I know, I've been there.
