  1. I wish all teams in this district good luck. It 's always a strong district with dedicated players and coaches. I am hoping for good things from Page. Huge senior class there...and some very talented juniors, also.

    Go Patriots!

  2. CU, PM is still involved, in fact as involved as he wants to be but he is trying with others to figure out how to work smarter and ask the fans and parents, who he is intimately involved, to help out in this project. It's known he will get some other help but watching him going thru these situations with large tournaments begs for another system and yet give the same information to the fans who want it. There will be other suggestions I am sure and other things will be tried and we will finally get a system that maybe a lot of i tournaments might use thruout the State. To be able to provide the information but yet allow interactive communications between CoachT' and T's some 57000 High School fans, the most part a free service, is a good vehicle. Only T's Plus membership is paid for. But with the many other features T gives in addition to interactive communications, It becomes an inexpensive way for the other features. T asks for Plus membership suscribers ever so often and now is one of the times he is doing it to pay for the overhead and upgrading of his system. If you read much on his site, just about every body who is any body in High School Athletics in Tennessee wind up on this site,

So..............providing information and scores and along with it a dialogue on T is what is being looked at. PM, as usual, being a lover of Sports is right in the Middle of it. T can take care of his part of the deal but the most knowledgable part, the parents and fans, are being asked to post or help Pageman to provide you the information. CU, You and Pageman not only helped Page but have helped the fans Statewide.

yup, been reading here for many years. plus memberships are available for most - not me - coacht gives me free information now (from reading here of course). i've found this a valuable place to get info and have referred many people here to read about their respective sports. pageman is a good friend of mine, I am proud to say. he has been a huge part of the good communication we have here for our mostly media-neglected sport of volleyball.

thanks for the kudos, btw, for being part of page's successful program...i was but a small part...many helped.

  3. I guess that a lot of the comments here are kind of off the topic of "Players to watch", but I will respond to my old friend Roger Brock. Page's tournament was canceled due to lack of teams signing up. Only a total of 4 teams, including Page, were committed so the decision made was to place all 4 in the Ravenwood tournament.

Page vs Greenbrier in the finals would be interesting. A preview will be available on Aug 19 when Page travels to Greenbrier in a pre-season scrimmage. Page will also face Greenbrier in the Brentwood Blastoff on Aug 16, but we will be without some players as they will be out of town.

How very sad that there isn't interest in that tourn - there were many people that worked hard to keep that going for many years.

Hope you are doing well, PM...missed seeing you at baseball!!!!!!!!!!!! Just wasn't the same without you!

  4. I think the bragfest should begin now. Some players only get court time in pre-season, and if they do a good job in a match or tournament it would be nice for them to see their name in print (if they even read this site). It also may expand the discussion to other players besides the obvious key players and give friends and/or parents a chance to say "good job" to their kid.

  5. Congrats to Marshall Co for winning the district title. The score of the game was 3-0. My patriots fought hard and I am very proud of the season they have had and the class they have shown through their wins and losses.

  7. DOING GREAT my son is actually starting this year and you know how it is...ball park all day and night lol

Yup!! Lots of pacing, popcorn, and proud moments! I wish the Warriors much luck this season (especially "Son of riverdaleman)!! So glad things are going well!

  8. So proud of the Page program...successful for years under Tracey Berry and currently lead to success by Mindy Stout with her excellent assistant Amy Markovich. The girls work hard at every school to produce wins and the Lady Patriots are no different. Parents, likewise, work hard to keep a winning program going through fundraising, lobbying for things the team needs with the administration, feeding the girls, helping with tournaments, line judging, etc.

All here know what a huge task it is to keep a winning program going - it's a constant challenge. The commitment to volleyball at all these schools is incredible and I tip my hat to all you parents, kids, and coaches that drive the continuing overall improvement of the quality of Tennessee high school volleyball.

  9. CU i hate i missed you at the Murf. we (kc) enjoyed talking to you last year at the finals. Page played a great tourney and it's too bad Nicole was shunned by TSSAA and the awards selection process. plum shameful!

I enjoyed hanging with you guys last year, too. KC folks have the best stories!!! /happy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="^_^" border="0" alt="happy.gif" /> Sorry I missed you this year. I've been working so much that I could only make a couple of matches this year. It was so nice sitting in the stands watching volleyball again.

Shame about Nicole, but she will get her recognition at some point. When she ends up at a D-1 school, she and those that know she should have been recognized, will look back and smile at the foolishness of the TSSAA. Being shunned by that org will not hurt her in the long run...probably stung a bit that day, though.

  10. Happy Birthday, my dear friend. I hope this year is full of wonder and excitement for you...as well as good health and good friends.

Can't wait to hang with you again for baseball!! I'm bringing extra blankets this year early in the season because we froze our behinds off last year!!

    Love,

    Carol

  11. Nice job Lady Cats! My Page girls played hard in the semi-finals, but you Greenbrier girls were just too tough and too tall!

    Congratulations!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  12. Congratulations to Greenbrier for a job well done! My Page girls played valiantly in the semi-finals with hearts of gold, but the Lady Cats were too tough this year.

    You've earned the respect of all! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  13. I hate of disappoint everyone, but that really wasn't me. I'm much better looking than that old guy. I employ several doubles during the season to throw the opposition off. I was lurking in the shadows avoiding the camera and I succeeded.

    The Mysterious Rhinestone PageMan

You definitely are a good looking man, PM! /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Wish I could have been there for the match to sit with you and watch these girls play some terrific VB. I'm so proud of this team for continuing the winning volleyball tradition at Page.

Great pics, coacht...sorry I missed meeting you at my kids' alma mater.
