does anyone know the exact dates of the eagleville camp? and who all is going????
-
I'll tell ya how they are gonna play...they are going to be "much" better
than last year. Only lost one senior, some new blood, great attitudes,
leadership, sportsmanship and a great "love" for the game!
They may not always finish "first", but I can guarantee you they have
winning spirits!!! I have seen this team grow, and grow "together." You
have to know this about this team.....they "don't" just play softball together.
Many of them are involved in "several" sports. They start with vollyball,
soccer, cheerleading, basketball and tthheeeennnnnn softball. They are
well rounded atheletes! Like other schools...they have grown up together!
Gotta love those Lady Eagles! I do!!!!

FORREST WINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did anyone ever get a contact and an email
for Vanderbilt??? Just wanted to send one to
them too and haven't heard. God Bless you Kari!!
-
By the way, I hope she is doing better!
That sounds like a quick recovery...that's wonderful!
I hate to say any player get hurt...it always makes
me sad! It could always be one of ours...and has!
-
yea it was kinda sad considering that u can c the hospital from the fields it took them around 25 minutes to get there they drove past the gate onto the field had to go all the way around finally got on the field and up to the batter and put her in and let the ambulance sit there for around 20 minutes while they finished there slurpies that they stopped and got on the way to the field o well thats what the call maury counties finest lol
I think this is correct and factual ---they just don't think anyone knows!
It's all a political nightmare and it's wrong! I hope this makes sense!!
On some Maury County blogs it has been reported that on the week-ends
there is a shortage of ambulances! Why you ask??? During the week-ends there
are no private companies that usually transport non-emergency patients to
other surrounding counties! (that by the way, don't have an ambulance service)
Therefore, Maury County tax payers are paying for these transports (and this
being all political of course) to and from our county! They may just be taking
Granny back to the nursing home after a hospital admission(I "never" disrespect any
of "my" elders-just an example)or any other transport services they provide.
So what does that leave us...emergencies that have delayed or no response
calls in Maury County!
I would "never" make excuses for these actions...just trying to give an explaination....
I thought was ridiculous myself! from what I read here!!!! I'm like Culleokarep
in that I know a bunch of those drivers and know it has to be frustrating
to them because I know how they are! As for the slurpies I would consider
that very unprofessional....but I was not there, my family was they did not
say they saw this!
Which leads me to aquestion I don't know...Why are there ambulances
at football games. Maybe demand, lack of manpower, or ambulances???
Or something else???
Is this a requirement of the school system or TSSAA? Just wondering! Can
someone inform us??

Her favorite color is purple. I'm contacting Vandy through their site. If someone has an "inside" connection, USE IT!
Thanks for the "purple" info!!!!!
That's great! If you get an email address maybe we can send
them one like UT! I can try too! The more the merrier!
Do you know if Perry County has any patients or a local chapter
of Friends of Childrens Hospital?? If so, that may be a wonderful
way for others in the community to reach out to Kari.
Email me when you get information or not about Vandy! I might
know another avenue we could go! God Bless you Kari! We are
still praying? How is she doing and if she has started to get any-
thing from other areas???
-
I'm one of Kari's good friends and the charity that is being started for sending things to her well She loves VANDY's Women's basketball
How is Kari doing? We still have her in our prayers!
If you know of other things she enjoys please post them
on here if you would! Thanks for being a "special friend"
and joining CoachT!
Does Kari have an email address
that you know of that we could send her emails.
I don't (or anyone on here) want to invade her privacy,
I thought it might be easier for CoachT posters to send
their best wishes for her.
We have her PO BOX # to send her things...is she getting
them on a regular basis now???
Ithink the request for UT Lady Vols started almost a week
ago.....maybe this will be a challenge that Vandy can help
with!
If you would email me personally that would be great...just
make sure the title says Kari May so it doesn't get deleted!
If not, this post goes directly to it anyway! Thanks for the info
and please let Kari know she is still deep in our thoughts and prayers!

He is a class act!! No wonder he got Coach of the year! I love to watch him coach!
His girls are very disiplined and talented! They must have a lot of respect
for him!
Good Luck to Summertown tonight! Play Safe!

If you want to go ahead an engrave a gold ball and drop it off at Richland, we will take it. I bet you actually want us to earn it though, right?
I just meant any team would be proud to have someone of that height and
ability. I think its awesome to have that kind of opportunity.
Sounds like it runs in the family-a tall one at that!!
Sure I would "always" want our girls to have the gold ball...but I have seen a lot of great teams play this year, including Richland, that deserve the respect they have earned!! Good Luck to "all" the teams!!
-
Everyone give some facts concerning their team next year.
Richland has 3 seniors. 2 play very little if any. That basically means Richland loses Vaughn (#00) at point guard.
Everyone else is back. Duke will be a Soph. and Glidden, Horn and Bell will be Juniors. That leaves one starting spot open. It appears that it is Pierce's to lose. She will be a Soph.
Richland needs to find a point guard. Will it be Pierce? Or will Glidden take the position? If Glidden plays the point, will it cut down on her scoring and rebounding. I personally leave her at the 2 or 3 spot.
3 juniors will be back as seniors. Roper, Owens, and Russell. Owens sat out most of last year and all but 2 games this year. Roper played lots of minutes both the first half of last year and this year but has not played much the second half of either year. Russell has been used primarily for 3 point shooting. Owens could be a possibility as point guard.
Newton has been the second player off the bench as of late. She will be a Soph. I believe. She can hit 3s when she is hot but she has arm problems. I think she has hit as many as 10 3s during team camp games.
The other Richland returners have only played in mop up rolls.
If Richland can find a true point guard and a little depth, they could be really really good next year.
Richland folks, give us your views of our team next year. Other Region 6 schools, what have you got coming back? I have heard that Santa Fe has allot of young talent. It has also been said the Moore County and Cornersville are losing allot. How about the D12 power houses. Who should be on top next year?
I'm shocked you would leave out your "big" secret from China!! Having a
6'10" former post player from china...Chow Ming! Richland may not be the
same for the next two years with her. Maybe we should start congratulating
you now! Shhhhhhhhhhh! You didn't hear this from me!
-
Also, the 6'10" chinese exchange student, Chow Ming, we arrive this summer. She played point guard for you team in china. She will be a junior. We expect her to stay and graduate. She weighs 280 but should be able to adjust to the center position with her size. In the film I have seen of her, she is an excellent ball handler and can drop 3 pointers like there in no tomorrow.
[/quote-from jamieroper\]
Did your mother not ever teach you to "NEVER" talk about a womans weight,
much less her age!! Heck, I don't know anyone that tall in high school!
Sounds like Chow Ming will have your team "looking up"!!!

Did they ever announce the MVP'S for the tournament???
Or did I leave too early??
Congratulations to Wayne County Boys and Summertown Girls!
Two "great" games with two "great" winners...Keep It Up!
You have some great fans in this region behind you all the way
to the top!!!!!!!
I pray that Tamia will have a complete recovery so she can

BBALLTN, I just emailed the article and picture that coacht had on the first page of this thread to Mr. Delaney.
Great job, I was trying and it was sending everything I
have ever scanned in my computer!
BBALLTN Do you think we could email him as well...all Coach T
have computers and may not be able to call long distance! If so
I hope he is ready for a bunch of emails to come!! Thanks for
what you are doing!
-
Also from what I understand, a person in West Tennessee has started a movement called "HOOPS and HOPES." I believe they are simply asking as many teams as possible to send "basketball stuff" to Kari...signed balls, posters, etc...get creative. The concept is that basketball is a team effort...as is fighting cancer. Kari was playing at the middle school level when she began to have knee pain and had to be "threatened" by her coach, "Either go to the doc or you're not playing." She's a determined girl. But, prayer is most needed...she is indeed very ill.
THANKS FOR THE INFORMATION---GREAT IDEAS!
I'll get started on it ASAP!! Let's load her up with some love
and support! We love you Kari May!!!!
FYI---I know for sure UPS will not ship to PO boxes
--I guess it will have to go standard mail along with a card!
-
A trainer that looked at Tamia's knee at the game indicated it may be an ACL -
They took her to Maury Regional tonight to get it X-rayed/MRI, etc. Hopefully it is just a strain, and not a tear. I doubt she will be back for Thursday night, but hopefully she can play on Saturday. Will post when I know more.
Hopefully she will be able to make a quick recovery...they do need her she
is a great asset and player for her team!! Great game Summertown.
Perry county never gave up and gave a great final effort! (I thought
there was a plate over the net...it just would not go in...this wasn't the only
game I saw like this tonight!)
Congratulations girls on a well played game! We want you to win for our
Regional Finals...you are doing a great job!
Thanks for keeping us posted about Tamia!!!
-
We sat with the Perry County fans tonight.
yep...a couple of zion fans right in the middle
of all the excitement. Kari May is loved by
many that don't even know her personally
------like us that are praying for her
strength, determination and healing!!
What an inspiration she has been for zion
and us personally! You could tell we were
strangers...until we were cheering, then
we were seen as fans of PC! We have gone
everynight of the tourney to support the
teams in our area! They have been intense!
But during the girls game and some ladies said
she had to go back to the hospital...is this
true? I would assume for more treatments??
We have had several parents from our school
and church who want to know if Kari needs
anything else besides our thoughts and prayers??
If someone reading this could PM me............
I know they want to help! We love you Kari!
