  1. WOW WH has some great tradition just look at their history- SC is hungry but they must get past the fact that WH has been to the dance and they haven??™t.

Mark Lambert and the entire coaching staff does a great job coaching WH. Coach Holly and his crew are equally impressive. SC runs very sweet offence with exceptional offensive line play. SC also plays very sound defense. Both sides are well coached this one will come down to which teams players execute and play 4 qtrs of football. Mistakes and turnovers will also be a huge factor. SC secondary has really improved sence their last meeting. Special Teams will be won by SC. WH will score some point with the likes of DeMarrius Payne and crew but SC should hold out and advance.

This will defiantly be a great one.

    I pick:

    SC- 31

    WH- 28

Obviously for all the talk from White House they have forgotten that postseason is a new season. Station Camp is standing in the exact same spot they are and White House is not the only team in the playoffs. White House beat the Camp by 1 point in regular season so they did not run roughshod over the Bison. One slip of the ball on either side could make a difference in the post season and it's not inconceivable that it could be White House's slip this time. So before White House claims a win over Knox Catholic they are going to have to make sure they get by the Bison. If they don't they can keep hanging on to 1997 and go start their basketball season. If they do beat Station Camp the rest of Tennessee will have to hear about how they think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread for another ten years. To spare us all I say Go Bison.

    SC 28

    WH 24

  2. There's no sense in padding your schedule with patsies for out of region. At least for Greenbrier, I know we've played teams like Ft. Campbell, Beech, Marshall Cty, David Lipscomb, Pope John Paul to name a few. You may suffer some losses but your team is much more prepared for the region run.

Good post. Region 3 needs to pick up some Knoxville with some players that are being recruited. It appears Greenbrier has gone up against players that play on tv on Saturdays now, like Austin Rogers (David Lipscomb) and Golden Tate (Notre Dame). Schedule strength is the deal. Train against better teams to survive in the playoffs. Unforunately 3 3A never gets past one and done.

  3. Underdogs? I think the Tigers are thriving on that label. Keep playing hard ! I know White House is a powerhouse but as good as they are their defense will not be as tough as McMinn Central's. Light up the scoreboard......Make the Devils score a 100 points to win. Just win baby!

Which part of Region 4 SWEPT Region 3 did you not understand? That does not make MC tougher.

  4. haha Howard can play.. take it from someone who got to eat a lot of crow... don't take this game lightly sycamore... #3 can flat play... made some amazing catches against MC... and fast doesn't begin to do them justice... quarterback can play...

as for the highlight tape that is pretty sad.... bad sportsmanship...

Sounds like Sycamore. Howard will win this one.

  5. Personally I think this game is a little overrated for CSS this year. Wasted airtime is how I see it. It has no playoff implications and will only be like watching a bully kick a cat. We will get to see one team that is loaded and one team that is rebuilding. What White House starters that do play will only try to put on a show for postseason intimidation factor. There is no pressure on Greenbrier except to stand there and take it. It will probably only be subs playing because the deal is sealed on the region and if the White House coach is smart he won't take the chance of getting his starters hurt before playoffs. Greenbrier will probably get a chance to look at what is coming up next year so all of us that want to watch a REAL football game on CSS get cheated.

I stand by my original post. Clearly White House needs to go up a classification but they choose not to it appears. Uunderstand ably when you get open and can score you can't tell your boys not to score a TD but to go for 2 that early that far ahead shows a lack of sportsmanship on the part of White House coaching.

  7. I think this one is almost too close to call. DeKalb is playing great right now and are on a high from the wins after so many years being in the basement. I would bet both teams are eating and sleeping football right now because they know there's a war going on tomorrow night in Smithville. If White House blitzes a lot, and plays smackdown football, they win. If White House treats DeKalb like the old DeKalb the Blue Devils will lose. White House's longevity and having Payne may pay off in the end. DeKalb having Poteete may be a constant thorn in White House's side.

I'll be listening for the outcome. Good Luck to both sides.

  8. I haven't seen White House play this year but from what my buddies tell me, they have too much defense to let DeKalb's QB sit in the pocket. If Payne is anything like he was last year, I'd say there's a good chance DeKalb will throw a couple of INTs. Does White House still have that kicker? If so, it will be an even bigger spread.

  9. Now, I would like to post on the game... /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

I am proud of what Fulton has been able to accomplish this season. I would be lying if I said that I thought the Falcons would make it to the Boro this season, especially after the Oak Ridge and Catholic games, but I'll be the first to admit that these guys have proved me wrong, big-time. Fulton has shown a vast amount of improvement over the year, especially in the playoffs, and are playing their best football right now, at the right time. Ruse has brought up the fact that this group of Falcons is quite different than any other group to head to Murfreesboro up to this point. In 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2006, all these teams were heavily upperclassmen laden. The 2002 group graduated like 19 seniors. The 2003 group graduated 18. The 2006 group graduated 21 seniors. This year's team is very young. The good thing about that is these youngsters play very loose and just have fun on the field, with enough senior leadership from D Hump, Tyson, V. Smith, Blair, Stokes, and Cobb to make the big plays needed to win championships. It's been a very interesting year, but it's been fun to watch this team grow and last week proved just how good this team can be when penalties are limited, and the passing game is on.

On a side note....would any of the other Fulton faithful like to see more of Juan McKinney (#12)? I've noticed all year how well he's played on special teams, dishing out big hit after big hit, then came in last week against PC and came up with a great interception. I think he's a senior unfortunately, but the kid's a playmaker. I, for one, would like to see him get some action in the secondary against DL.

The Falcons are loaded in skill guys and proved against Catholic that they are more than capable of stopping the run. At the beginning of the year, I thought this would be DL's year, and that is yet to be determined, but at the end of the day, Fulton may once again prove to have too much speed, too many athletes, for the Mustangs to finally win that championship that has alluded them for the past two years. I will feel bad for the Mustangs if they don't win, after all, would you want to graduate losing three straight title games? I know I wouldn't and that's why I know DL will give Fulton their best shot. Despite the pain I know DL would feel upon losing, I still hope the Falcons can bring that 4th gold ball back to Broadway and continue this dynasty in 3A! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Although I do think Fulton is a good ball team, I also think they think they're the only team playing in 3A Saturday. We should get CoachT to just change the thread name to "Let's talk...and talk...and talk some more about Fulton"

Just for the heck of it, I say "Go Mustangs".

  10. On several games Pearl Cohn seems to start slow, give the opponent the lead and then come back at the end. You have to play to the buzzer with Pearl Cohn. From what I've seen or heard, they let sevarl schools draw first blood and then they came back for the kill. I think Fulton and Pearl Cohn will be a great game and Pearl will finally have someone to play that is their match, BUT if Mason overthrows and his receivers let it bouce off their helmets Fulton will take advantage and leave Pearl Cohn sitting home next week. And besides all that, I wish Pearl Cohn would find a kicker if they want to contend for the final game. That will be a MAJOR factor for the one that takes home the gold.

With all that said, I think the final game will come down to the winner of this game playing David Lipscomb.

  11. He or she is a Greenbrier supportor, which explains most of his or her posts.Very bitter are those sour grapes. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

It's amazing that someone from a town that uses a computer so much to talk hype can't even figure out how to use CoachT to find out where someone is from. To make it simple for you, I am not from, never have been, and have no plans to move to Greenbrier. I guess because I posted last week to agree with someone about Whitehouse verbally running Greenbrier down is reason enough for someone with your mentality to think I'm from there. I'm for Pearl Cohn too but I'm not "from" there, either. Don't worry because MY team is still in and your team won't be after Friday.

  12. Hey, it's just good to hear from ya..... But don't put too much into big country....He roots for anyone playin' WH..... He lives in gods country high atop Mount Righteous. Next thing u know, he thinks bad of ya....

No matter what happens this friday, if PC is fortunate enough to win, I pull for the region. No hate, just fun.....You guys have a good program. But I'm a little disappointed you did not play wit it in your post...LOL

    We goona have good weather?

Dandy if you ask most of the rest of the posters you will see that the opinions are much the same. It's funny that you speak of Mount Righteous because the Blue Devils seem to think living on a hill makes them above all the rest in every aspect. Talk about a superiority complex----White House invented that, not football. What have you done so far in the playoffs besides beat a weaker region 2 seed and a 4 seed? Alcoa or Beech?? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Pulllleeeze....you wouldn't know what hit you if you made it to play Lipscomb or Fulton. But Pearl Cohn will take care of that in about three days and knock you back into reality. If I could buy White House for what they're worth and sell them for what they think they're worth I'd be retiring by years end.

Good Luck Firebirds----take care of these turkeys.

  13. Whitehouse runs their mouth more than any school in Tennessee. Winning against Pearl COHN by 2 does not make them the next Indianapolis Colts or New England Patriots. Pearl Cohn will take care of business next week because this is their time to make a statement. They beat the Region Champs and Mason will make sure he makes sure he gets to the 'Boro in his senior year.

  14. Good Luck to Pearl Cohn. You went to Howard and cleaned house after 4 hours. It will only take you 30 minutes to make the drive to White House, and I expect you'll do the same there too. A sophmore QB vs. an future SEC quarterback and the Firebirds Defense. This one will get messy quick with the Firebirds bringing the heat.

Pearl Cohn wins by 2 TDs.

  15. I would never think a blowout would occur in this series....But if a team can't win with 5 turnovers and can only score with special teams....well, this was predictable. I know our team was confident going into this game. Everyone was confident. Wanted the game to start and it showed.

BTW..... Big Country gets shocked a lot...LOL

I would say congratulations but it appears your fans pat themselves on the back enough without anyone else doiing it. You fans really don't know what humility is, do you?

    Pearl Cohn will teach you.
