  1. Good to see some dates for the scrimmages good luck coach Shoe hope you guys have a good year there at the Burg just do me a favor don't beat my Jackets again.. Nah hope you all do well Good luck to all Morgan County teams looking forward to another high school football season it's the best time of the year.

  2. It will be Petros-Joyner vs Fairview tonight ... I know nothing about the other games just talked to Jason Hill coach of P-J he said they will play tonight I believe he said 8:30.

These 2 teams meet twice in the regular season splitting (1-1) Fairview beating P-J at Fairview by a few in double OT & then P-J defeating Fairview at home by about 15 or so maybe more.

  3. Coalfield needs to stop talking about how grace recruits player. Didnt Jake Haney play for you last year....where was he his Junior year????? Come tell me......ok well i will tell you OS So i would shutup about recurting.

Coalfield is not saying a word in encase u haven't noticed there hasn't been many post at all this season from a Coalfield person these post are coming from else where !

  4. Coalfield is just as guilty!!!!! Maybe not this year, but in years past they have a better recruiting class than UT year in year out!!!! Coach Henry will have to get on the stick if he wants to keep up with Grace, There's a new Sheriff in town!! Coalfield was getting all the transfers from Clinton before McKamey came to town!!!!! I guess they have more to offer???

Now why did u have to go and say that there hasn't been anything posted on this thread from a Coalfield person enless it's on the next few pages (I haven't made it there yet).

  5. Good luck to both teams Friday night I really didn't think I was gonna make this trip BUT I haven't missed a Coalfield game in about 8 years so i'll be there.

    CYJacket fair weather fan? /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

  6. Coalfield not looking to good this year as u all know, Watched us get embarrassed by York again kinda expected that one ... then got beat by Wartburg that one stung a little bit ... to many mistakes in the red zone cost us that game but congrats to Wartburg glad they got a W been a long time just wished it wasn't against us.

Our defense played fairly well Friday got a little tired late ... Offense needs some lineman in a BAD way !!

Congrats to the Indians big win over Hampton I was so glad to see that score...

  7. The problem with putting Noah at QB is if they do that, their passing game is in trouble because outside of Noah, they don't really have any game-breaking wide-outs. I'd put Hicks in at QB, personally.

Noah looked good at QB Friday, he threw the ball well to Sean Armes, he threw the ball to William Armes a lot but looked like his timing was off a bit with William but that can only get better with time...

Noah & Sean hooked up once for a long TD Friday it was a beautifully thrown ball & Sean made a nice catch & run ...

If Noah & William get there timing down together that could be a scary combo there William is big & quick he lays a punishing blow to the tacklers so I don't see many DB's bringing him down.

There is also Ryan Armes & Logan Alley so I don't think Noah will have a problem finding someone to throw to.

  8. Melton was at QB right? I heard he was, and heard Coach K ran the offense. This is just what I hear.... finally if this is true Coalfield has their players/coaches doing the right things. They put up a W, it does say W-by 1 point, just W thats all that matters.

Yes, Noah did start at QB & played every down & Yes, Coach K was calling the offense & it looked fairly well sloppy at times but considering the fact that they have only been over that offense for a week it wasn't that bad. People were talking about how bad he threw the ball BUT I watched him very close & he just rushed things a little bit he threw a very nice ball to Sean Armes that went for 6. I believe he will get much better as the season goes on & he gets some game time under his belt at QB.

  9. How is the weather in Coalfield today? They have no passing game so weather doesn't matter there, but they have had a problem fumbling this year..... Playing on the wet field will be a nice test for Coalfields backfield. BTW If I was coaching at Coalfield, Sean Armes would be starting hands down. Whats his stats compared to JK? I don't think I've seen JK break a run more than 20 yards this year and SA has broken quite a few, even a 70+ against a good Oneida team.

I would have to agree with you ... There is a few other changes id make in the backfield as well but ill keep them to myself ...

Its rained all day ... but we have had about an hour now with no rain

  10. I don't think we're gonna see a whole lot of passing tonight given the conditions, plus Coalfield has NO passing game to begin with. Could be an interesting game and I think OS is gonna be out for blood after last year so toss the predictions out the window because this one could go either way. For once, I'm not gonna make a prediction because it's too close to call.

You gonna be there my friend ?

  11. Nice dart there in the end, CY. Point well taken. I would think we haven't fallen so far that we weren't able to give your boys some uneasy moments. Heck, all the bluster coming from last years team.....and they only topped us by 7. Which of these two teams has the longest winning streak in the series? (I honestly don't know) See ya this evening!

    Kaz

The longest winning streak according to the MC News Paper is held by Oneida at 9 & dates back to (1981-1989) ... & u guys hold a pretty big lead in the series at (44-19) but with Coach K at the helm its (9-11) in your favor. Coalfield has won 6 of the last 7.
