  1. A couple of rules on the high school level that I would like to see changed are the cut block and the ability to come out of the endzone. I think cut blocking should be allowed all over the field like the college rule. Not from behind, but face to face. I believe this would open the game up some. I know the arguement that it will increase injuries, but I disagree.

Secondly, with the number of kickers who can kick the ball into the endzone on the rise, I think the kids should be allowed to return the ball. Same on an interception.

    What do you think?

    No

  2. I win the points on Ohio football knowledge.I am from Ohio for G*D'S sake.

Mustangfan------If you are from Ohio,I'll bet you are a Hoover guy.Still ticked about Andy Alleman?

    GO BOBCATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  1-0 with the thumping of Dover

I'll be at the game tonight since my son plays for the Bobcats

I do not know BJ Payne. The name sounds familier.

Are they too busy teaching football at Massilon that they can't teach you to spell tiger?

  3. What will your coaches do to prepare your team for an upcoming opponent? At lipscomb I heard they hired a drilling company to come during practice and drill next to their field to simulate crowd noise. That is one smart staff do figure that out as a good way to prepare. What tricks do your coaches use?

  4. I'm not one that normally gets into the negative bickering but I'm absolutely amazed at how big of a jerk both hsball and bomb are.  Guys, do you actually get pleasure and satisfaction from trying to irate the opposing fans?  That is so weak.  People that can sit behind a keyboard and get their jollies from verbally slamming others through a message board are sure to develop into high class, successful individuals.  What men you must be!  With being very familiar with both DL and the C of C, I think it's fairly obvious that you both have totally missed the boat.  I'm sure your parents are proud.

If you can take a second away from staring at yourself in the mirror as you flex that bicep,  please find something misspelled, misquoted, or used in the incorrect tense and let me have it.  It'll make you feel better about yourself I'm sure.

Thanks Vandy1 for the link.  Nice web site.

Odd that he should call you jerks while chastising you for verbally slamming people. Hmmmm?

  5. Mt. Union College is located in Alliance, OH just outside on Canton.  They are the 7 time NCAA Division III National Champions and have the longest winning streak in NCAA football history.  The other two schools are their arch rivals located in Cleveland.  Lipscomb has on their staff a former Mt. Union All American and a National Championship member.  A former Mustang off their 2002 State Championship Team went up there to play for Mt. Union.  His fomer girlfriend graduated from McKinnley.

Vandy1 Do you have any proof that this so called coach really went to Mt. Union? It could be another George O'leary story when the truth came out after he was hired that he had falsified his resume.

As for Ted Nancy, I can't discuss Wisconsin football as I am obviously a Minnesota fan. While I am at it that reminds me, Ogilvie High has an open date on Sept 23, anybody want to come up here and play us?

  6. Here's a summary for you, Mr. Smartypants.

    Thanks eddie!

  7. Here's to you mr. football knowitall i've been out of high school for 2 years, go to college in east tennessee and merely wanted to state my opinion on the game. I started for 2 years thank you. Also I've seen Alcoa and Lipscomb play games this year. I never tried to start a pointless arguement such as this, I just wanted to put my two cents in. Since I seem to know more than you, this web site is not the place to put such stupid, unfounded remarks. Put your predictions down and shut up. Everbody on here would appreciate it. I'm through arguing with you idiots on this thread.

You know the old saying... Don't go away mad...... just pretend to be someone your not on another thread

  8. can they finish this year. go lipscomb

I am pretty sure they will finish this year sometime. I am not sure if it will be this week or next but they will finish.

  9. Wow, Copernicus!  That's some deep thinking.  You mean to tell me that backs do better when they run behind good offensive lines?!?!?!?!?  Stop the presses!!!!!  This guy has uncovered the holy grail, the missing link, the DaVinci code!

EDDIE! EDDIE! EDDIE! EDDIE! EDDIE! EDDIE!

  10. Brandon Warren is D-1 if he makes the grades to get into UT. He is a special athlete but also needs to take his studies serious. That his what will help him get to UT. I have watched him this year and he does not have any weakness in his game. He should win Mr Football next two years hands down.

Dustin L has all the yards and TD's but all against smaller weaker teams. Harriman, Wartburg, and Sweetwater are nothing compared to the SEC teams he would face at UT. Against Maryville a much quicker team he ran scared and they still are nothing compared to SEC defenses. And also against a much bigger and physical Heritage team he only ran for 72 yards. He still has to prove he can run in the big games. He to is struggling in his studies at school. He did not get snubbed in the class 2A Mr Football, it is a whole person concept. They take into  consideration Football skills, grades, community service and attitude. If he does not work on the other skills besides football he will get snubbed again next year.

As far as the game I hope Alcoa brings home the state title to Blount County.

So based on your brilliant logic the only way you can be successful at UT is if you play SEC caliber defenses while still in high school. I would think that this significantly reduces the pool of candidates to recruit. That may be the worst argument I have ever read on Coacht.

  11. The Mustang Fanpage website is family-friendly.  Please, no more references to Victoria's Secret, pajamas, McNair's posse, wives modeling, etc.  Pugh will have this thing shut down faster than you can say "We will sell your house or ERA will Buy IT!"

I notice it says no pass outs, what is the penalty if you can't help but pass out?

You see the person from the love boat didn't really dig holes. I am afraid you are confusing these homophones. It's OK I realize that you spend so much time typing on CoachT that you are probably a bit out of touch with reality.

  13. What I actually heard was that because their startegy of moving the game back last year backfired they are working to move the game ahead this year. Alcoa will show up at practice this afternoon and surprise the mustangs. TSSAA officials will say that since Alcoa could not find buses available to transport them at any other time the game will be required to be played immediately. Alcoa officials hope that by reversing last years strategy of moving the game back they will reverse last years outcome.
