Nothing's changed. Jeff Co still stinks!!!

You can never tell anything about DB by watching a scrimmage. Even against Maryville or Southeast Corner of Cocke County, it never matters and DB almost always loses at least 1 or 2 scrimmages a year, but yet comes out and goes undefeated or maybe 1 loss every single year.

Anyone give me directions to the Ship coming from Kingsport? Just start once I hit 40 and then pick up from there... I appreciate it very much!!

In response to Pudding's post, Fletcher is no where close to the area's top sophomore running back. Justin Sylvester holds that title, hands down...

Maybe not stink, but I would bet my retirement they would not be near as good as they are now. There are no coaches in the area that compare to any of the coaching these guys get at either of their sports.

And just for arguments sake, there is only one significant player on the Indians that did not come through the system from their freshman year. That is the running back, Marchez Barnes. And before you start mouthing off about him, I hate to tell you but there is a player even better than him behind him in Justin Sylvester. The ONLY reason Marchez starts is because he is a senior. All the other skill players worth mentioning, Throp, Sensabaugh, Burton, Ring, Pappas, Thompson, Burnette, and the rest all came up in Kingsport and have been a part of the Tribe all their years. TRIBE ALL DA WAY!!!

It's amazing to me that no matter how many times DB beats the crap out of South, no matter which sport it is in, it always comes back to the transfer issue and how many kids come through Sevier and Robinson... I will never get sick of watching South cry but I do get sick of hearing them make these sorry excuses. Maybe if you all could win a game or two you might get a couple of transfers that "put you over the top". Also, as far as Curt Phillips being the best player to come out of this area in a long time, that is complete BS. After watching tonights game there is no one on this earth that could convince me that he is better than Duran Ferguson. There is just no way. TRIBE ALL DA WAY!!!

Looks like he gave you all a spanking or two tonight huh? One TD receiving and 1 rushing, if I remember correctly? Seriously, find something else to whine about while ur wiping the tears off of your sleeve!

To put it even more simply, DB is a really strong team, unlike last year, while South absolutely stinks!

Couldn't run up the middle. Was only a scatter back and even at that had problems holding on to the football. Maybe not so much in games, but in practice it was a big problem...

Congratulations as well to Mike Ritz, who received win number 800!! The all-time winningest coach in TN History. Congratulations Tribe and congratulations Coach Ritz!

I would like to be the 1st to congratulate the TRIBE on another CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP!! The Indians clinched at least a share of 1st place with a win tonight against Daniel Boone, despite committing 5 errors, I believe. And with a game this week against Volunteer I think it's pretty safe to say DB will go on to win the outright Conference Championship!! Congratulations boys!! TRIBE ALL DA WAY!!!

Lucas pitched, and pitched well. His 2nd straight 3 hitter in his only 2 varsity starts. Looks good so far... Another win for the Tribe pushing their record to 27-3, I believe. TRIBE ALL DA WAY!!

Maybe I am mistaking, but I believe you guys have only won 2 conference games all year, counting the one tonight against Central. So, if you wanna talk about earning those 2 wins, be my guest but do it on your own thread. Until we play you guys, you shouldnt be on here, and I would imagine you wouldn't want to be on here after we did play you guys, except to send your congratulations... TRIBE ALL DA WAY!!!

Not sure if this has been posted yet, haven't been paying attention, but Dobyns-Bennett has 2 players with 6, Derek Trent (All-American) and CJ Stabler, but after that I am not sure who all has what...

man there is nothing i love more than people talking trash about "DB cant compete with knoxville and they never will" blah blah blah. well, we beat the "best of knoxville" and nobody wants to talk (with the exception of 1 classy poster) great game!

Then like I said, blame the situations that would not allow your picthers to throw, but not Coach Ritz. CHEATING is making a mockery out of the game, BETTING is making a mockery of the game (by a player or a coach), STEROIDS are a mockery of the game, but intentionally getting your OWN players out is doing nothing wrong. Like I said, if anything, it HELPS your team out and hurts ours. It is no ones fault but your own players you couldn't get the runs needed to extend the game and we would never have had this conversation. Like I said, congratulations Indians on the win and good luck in the future... GOodnight!

NEWS FLASH.... in this game, IT WASN'T ENOUGH!! So, if you have 3 quality pitchers on your roster, either blame the coaches for not pitching them, or blame the situations that did not allow them 2 be thrown. But, it is not fair to blame Coach Ritz or anyone associated with DB for the things that happened. This is a tournament and the object is to win and advance. Regardless of who did or did not pitch the outcome was decided and what he did was not cheating in any way. If anything, it hurts his own team because it gave Jeff. Co a chance to get a couple runs and extend the game, which the COULD NOT do. So, blame the coaches, players, situations, or whatever else but DO NOT cry and blame Coach Ritz.

I really dont understand the argument you Jeff County fans are making here. Look, DB was up by 11 runs, with rain coming in about 10 minutes or less. It is not Coach Ritz's fault that DB was up by so many runs, all he was trying to do was get the game in so they didn't have to pick up where they left off the next day for no reason when the outcome was clearly decided. If you want to blame the game on Coach Ritz then go ahead, but in my opinion, you should be questioning your players for not giving DB a game. Regardless of who you pitched, you only scored 3 runs and that will hardly ever beat a DB team... Congratulations Indians on the win tonight and good luck in the semifinals and finals...
