you are right, you are not Smith County. Its a different team yet same result. You can say all you want, that we have speed but you have big ol' country boys or what ever. People seem to look past our physical play because of the speed but you havent seen a team like us. Yeah we are the fastest team you will face, but we will hit you too. Your team will leave the field knowing who they just played. They will never forget the falcons because we dont just hit ya, we run over ya. So dont think we are just fast and "soft". AE thought we were "soft" and look where it got them. #40(Hamilton) and #22(Cobb) are some of the hardest hitters and your players will get real acquanted with them, well when they are on the ground looking at them. Keeping the X-ing up Hamilton, you know they cant stop ya
Same result??? have they played the game already?? Wow that was fast! Who said you were soft? I don't think anyone had said Fulton is "soft" you don't get to the semi's by being soft. And contraire to your beliefs, there are some other hard hitters out in the rest of the state, not all of the hardest hitters in the state go to Fulton.

Yes they did get beat...but aren't they still playing...yes, until they are no longer playing, they are still te chanps....The New England Patriots are still playing althought they lost earlier in the season, and they are still the Champions until they are no longer playing.

I have to agree with Oldsc...they are the champs until someone beats them.....but i think the hole will be pretty loud this friday, I feel sorry for all the old people living around the stadium, they aren't gonna get much sleep.

Who is underestimating you...I don't see anyone that says Size kills speed....in fact, I see more peaople that say speed kills.

Antwan....dont get me wrong, I am sure Smith has plenty of weapons and talent, or they wouldnt be where they are. I just get tired of the posters (especially the fans of Trousdale and Macon) that get on here and say that we are gonna "get hit in the mouth" and then we will forget how to play. anyone that has followed the Falcons and the Semi-final matches knows that we are not one-dimensional.
I think this will be a great matchup. Home field advantage will be key for Owls and should prove to make this another classic in Middle-Tennessee

Macon is as big of a one-hit-wonder as Young MC was with Bust A Move!! Trousdale has been there before multiple times and really I believe should have beat ya'll in 2002, I was at that game and thought that they played more of a complete game, but ya'll overcame them in OT and won the game(not saying you weren't dereving) just thoguht the better team lost that night. But that said, Good Luck to both temas on Friday night.

im on the team and no 1 on the team is underestimating any body. its the 4th round of the playoffs how can you? its mostly your own fans on here talking any way, ne way you say youve played and scrimmaged teams with speed all year but have you played fulton or austin east? because theres teams thats quick and then theres teams u dont even see as they go by. remember fulton is in the top 3 almost every year in track and most of our players are on those track teams. not sayin you cant hang but i guarantee youve not seen a team with as much speed as us. CYA FRIDAY!
Why are you runiong your mouth if you are on the team...that is just stupid, and Carthage is not a bad squad....I wouldn't be surprised Carthage pulled this one out, been a while since a Gold Ball has come to this county, I know alot whould don't wanna see it happen unless it goes to Gordonsville rather than Carthage, but hey...Good Luck and get to the big dance!

To get to Carthage, take I-40 West to exit 258...take a right, follow that road about 5 or 6 miles.....take a left at the Carthage Business District, go down that road for about 3 miles, take a right on the road right across from the sonic, and follow the lights.....congrats to Carthage....heck of a game is what I hear!

Because you have got to be an idiot if you;re a player and running your mouth on here.....but hey whatever floats your boat....and I don't think helmet to helmet hits are intentional, your adrenaline is pumping out there and the game speed is so fast, your just rtrying to make a play, I didnt see any helet to helmet hits, but you obviously have the best eyes in the world. oh an just because someones finger is in a splint, doesnt mean that it was bent backwards, maybe it got stepp3ed on.....that hapened to me one time in practice and my hand was black and blue for the rest of the season.....so there are other logical explanations

For the past 3 three years up until this year it has been public schools beating you...Gordonsville, SOuth Pittsburgh, and Smith COunty....but next year you will get beat by Gordonsville and Trousdale COunty, Gordonsville will be back in the mix...oh by the way...Good Luck against BBS...your gonna need all the healp you can get. and FCS has not punished anyone until this year since the early 90's....but they did have a good team this year....I will give them that.

so you think ALL public schools are bad.....and you think my parents don't work their butts off.....my parents could not afford to send me to a private school. But I know the majority of private school kids grow up with a siver spoon in their mouth. Go down where I used to go to school at Lipscomb University and look at the parking garage......do you think college students can afford an HS hummer, a BMW M3, or any other expesive car.....NO!....momma and daddy bought it for them. and I know what the value of a dollar is, I worked near full0time through high school, and I wokr nearly full-time going to college now, so no sir I am not an idiot...and as for the cheap shots by Gordonsville's players you say there were, I did not see any, but were you or I on the fi3eld?? NO!, we won't ever know what really happened, stuff goes on at the bottom of piles all the time, and I can pretty much say, ask any of your opponets ya'll play dirty as well, then they will say yes, because everyone has dirty play, your players are not the little angels you think they are....so you shut up!!!

Ya'll are the ones who go to the Christian school, aren't ya'll the ones who are supposed to be better than us?? NO FCS is not better, FCS is a bunch of pansies who this they are better than everyone else, but what do you expect, when your parents bring you up telling you that and feeding you with a silver spoon, then you would think that....there are a few good guys from FCS, I went to school with a few of them, and they are some of the nicest people I have ever met. I don't like FC and NEVER will, you will NEVER have the team's Gordonsville has had, and you will NEVER have the strong tradition that Gordonsville has. I will take tradition over a "one-hit wonder" anyday, b/c thats what ya'll are. Ya'll will finish 3rd in the region next year behind 2 public schools in Gordonsville and Trosudale Co.

Region 4 is weak...but we do not make up the region..it is based on where the school is loacted...is FCS overrated....YES! But don't forget that Gordonsville is way down from years past,and they are usually the ones smacking FCS around, and they will be back in the mix next year. Plus you have Trousdale county coming down from 3a back to 1a to join region 4, so i say next year that region 4-1a could possibly be the toughest region in 1a, i dont know about west TN teams, but anyone else got anything?

I'll tell you what happened Swanson. Gordonsville got absolutely abused! But I have to give them credit. They did a great job of playing dirty against Friendships young pups, which seemed to make the Tigers feel good about themselves. And for the record, this is the 5th time the Commanders have beat Gordonsville.
ya'll were the ones that got the personal foul unsportsman like conduct penalties..so dont tell us about playing dirty....well it was close until the end of the second quarter......all i have to say is big play's..;..FC had a butt-load of them and just pulled away from us.....we couldn't stop them...we had opportunities to make big plays ourselves, but didn't execute. Better luck next year Tigers!

If if's and but's were candy and nuts we would all have a marry christmas. Just admit it you can't stop Friendship when it get down to it so stop whining, and I know someone did not make fun of Friendship's field but gordensville's whole stadium layout is quite possibly the worst in the state.

that was me sating FC's field is rundown..i said nothing about ur stadium...just ur field is ugly.....Gordonsville has one of the nicest 1a fields in the state....now we may not have the nicest stands...but we dont have all that money that ya'll have to spend on fireworks to shoot off at the end of every quarter. You will get your beating next week when boyd comes to town...and FC will not have shot in a long while at wining state...b/c TC is coming back down, and they will manhandle everyone....and really..what is not fair about TC coming down..they are under the 1a enrollment so how is it not fair?

FCS won't make it past boyd, but they had better stop thinking about Boyd and start thinking about this week....this is not a gimme.......and FCS won't have a shot at winning state for a long while....I got 2 words for ya....Trousdale County!!

SO basically region 4 will look like it did 4 years ago with the addition of FCS....and I heard a rumor that FCS was going west...any truth to this?

regardless......FC has always gotten their points on big plays...take 2002 for instance...they scored 6 points against us.....ans that was like a 50 yard reverse..i think that qualifies as a big play!

everything looks good except for that FCS/Gordonsville game.....I think Gordonsville will win.,..but I am bias...so my vote really does not count

But FCS can't grind it out on the ground like some other teams....Gordonsville has to tackle, and tackle well.....they can't get down b/c FCS gains some yardage on a pass...FCS will catch some passes, you can't prevent that...they are talented in those positions, but we have to make them eat the clock up and by the way.....i don't think anyonbe here is from South Pitt.

Revenge is always sweeter when it is agaiinst FCS......it will be even sweeter since it is at their rundown field!! I believe G-ville will be mentally ready for this one!

The only state title that I think will come out of Mid. TN is Riverdale or Franklin, and thats b/c both teams are in Mid. TN...BOyd has got 1a, I think Alcoa will win 2a, Fulton wins 3a...in a close one, and Maryville cruises over Memphis Melrose.....good luck to all teams next weekend!
