  1. "Be interesting to hear what Doodle Bivens and Gary Orr thought of Wood." do you mean as a teacher? no one questioned her as an ENGLISH TEACHER. im sure there's even more that liked her as a TEACHER, but disliked her as a coach. you're taking everything posted way too literally. the more you get bashed for your posts, the more ridiculous you sound. try as you may to hit a nerve with a comment on sal rende or naming people who liked ms wood as a TEACHER, it wont work. im still confused as to why you brought up 2 footballers to comment on how much they liked ms. wood. not for basketball reasons, i guarantee it. this is a lost cause for you, so can we avert our attention back to this huge game. im also confused about the predictions about the game. 16 points?? unfortunately, ive only been to one game due to an always awful drive from kentucky, but from what ive read, and saw in the hixson game, sd seems a bit better than that.

  2. It's a shame that so many knowledgeable people on here have claimed that it wasnt the players faults at all. they are PROFESSIONALS, and shouldnt act that way, period. Granted, fans weren't helping the situation, but as you see on the highlights, Artest's "life wasnt in danger" because of a bottle being thrown. had he not been the thug everyone agrees that he is, i really dont know if it would have gotten so bad so quickly. Outfielders get bottles and stuff thrown at them all the time, but how many of them do you see storm the bleachers? Security usually has them (the fan) under wraps very quickly. unfortunately in detroit, i dont know whether artest reacted too quickly or what, but security was nonexistent for the 1st couple minutes of the brawl. so many nba players have backed artest saying "you gotta protect yourself." From a bottle or some beer? thats ridiculous. i agree with those on here who referred to them as childish, fans and players alike. i havent seen the suspensions, but im sure each of them deserveed what they got, with artests punk a having the most. no matter how good of a player he was, or thought he was, i think it will always be overshadowed by his terrible attitude. ive never liked the nba and, although, to an 18 year old, the fight started out kinda exciting, the whole way it went down put a bad taste in my mouth and ignited a severe hate for ron artest.

  3. Bushleague,

I apologize for not catching you after the game. Deepball and i really did look for you, but i guess our vision isnt quite as astute  as hotsauce's(i promise i'll holler the next time i make the trek back home)... so no one has really answered my question... with the loss of Tyler "the dishonorable sherriff of" Nottingham, will DB's defense be affected in a large way? i know there are 10 other guys on d, but isnt he pretty good?

  4. that point is irrelevant as i believe hotsauce stated earlier...if you wanna play that game, then- case in point: soddy daisy just demolished a farragut team that only lost to the mighty oak ridge wildcats by 8 whole points...what does this mean? that none of the games in previous weeks mean anything this friday...

  5. wow...im sure you got a big smile on your face when you finished that one. what a masterpiece, he thought... the complete absurdity of the post is a masterpiece in itself... "There is no way Soddy Daisy will come up here and have any chance of beating Oak Ridge friday night." whatever was said after that is lost, because of such a ridiculous statement(except for your conclusion)...the only truth to the post came there-"wait and see" heed your own advice my friend, b/c if you think this game is over before it has even started, you've very possibly set yourself up for an unpleasant friday night...Good luck to the Soddy Daisy Tackle Football Trojans...i will most definitely be in attendance for this one

  6. now now...because two goons are on here stirring up stuff doesnt mean we should be ashamed of being from soddy daisy. it is one of the fastest growing cities in the tri state area...they're building a super walmart ;) (unless its already done)

wow i wish i could make it to this game...but duty calls as i will be in a collegiate tackle football bout against the mighty maryville scots, but thats irrelevant.

Good luck to both teams...hopefully the trojans will pull it out, but im sure the fans will get their money's worth regardless of the outcome.

  7. Low blow parkdog, very low...you know i took that pretty hard. it also didnt help that gerald and co. got the poo beaten out of them. not a good weekend for me last week in the football world... this weekend, though, will be great, b/c the soddy daisy tackle football trojans will win again, and the bucks will have redemption vs. the badgers of Wisconsin.

  8. a smart man wouldnt argue with theanswer7...ive seen people on here talk about people knowing their stuff, and he certainly does. most definitely a man among boys in that category...

You say that Soddy couldn't run the ball. While you were at the game, did you notice the 9 man front against our offensive line? It's kind of hard to run against 9 guys. So we threw the ball. Heritage did the same thing…and I expect McMinn to also stack the line.

way to prove theanswer's point for him...he said we couldnt run the ball and in your feeble attempt at arguing with a FELLOW FAN, you said the exact same thing... anyway, soddy daisy wins ,then we can finally give our full attention to next week's showdown.

  9. ballmaven's right, we dont know what we're talking about...only he does. of course the only people worth talking about are rende and goodwin, thanks for pointing out the obvious. so what should we be talking about... should we start talking about next year? for some of us, next year doesnt matter at all so there's no real point. all we can talk about is now and right now... ricketts is still better than bush

  10. rumor has it that after the basketball game this evening, Coach Wood of Soddy Daisy resigned, ending seemingly endless debates but sure to start new ones. I dont have too much info except that she will finish out the year as head coach...hopefully some other, more knowledgeable coacht-er's will have more specifics.

  11. i spoke with brohm's center at a visit to a college over the weekend and he said that Nebraska WAS in the picture, along with Louisville and Notre Dame...Not Tennessee, for whatever reason. He seemed believable but i guess we'll find out in a few hours.
