  1. In short, I think it is time that the Gallatin staff and administration consider dropping to 4A. It is obvious that the affects of losing enrollment to Station Camp is starting to show. The Bison are on the up swing in a big way and Gallatin is on a slippery slope with no breaks.

I, for one, would NOT like a drop to 4A!!! We're having a rough year, but I believe the Wave will be just fine!! Gotta have faith!!

  2. I don't know if this is directed at me or not but I asure you that I am not a 30+ year Gallatin Green Wave "fairweather fan". However I am a realist. And I don't like the odds. Can Gallatin win? Of course, if they tackle better, block better and can line up in the right formations with out having to call a timeout 1 min into the game. Will I be there? Yes, I would not be anywhere else dressed in all of my Gallatin attire. Will I cheer for Gallatin? Heck yea!! I do every week. And have for years!!! Will I when most on here no longer go to games or even care about highschool football? Plan on it!! There have many posters who have gone by the wayside. All of this Hendersonville trashtalk that we have been reading will be gone when Gallatin starts dominating again. It did in 2001 and will after this year too. Gallatin is not 40-11-1 against Hendersonville for no reason. So if you did call me out (and I don't know if you did) , I never will stop supporting the PROGRAM. Gallatin however, has got some serious issues right now, from players to coaching. That is a fact..not fiction. This team quit last week and everybody saw it. But lets move on.....

    Agreed!!!

    GO GREEN WAVE!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Gallatin in a close one at home.

Thought you guys looked better last week against Smyrna even though we lost big. Keep working hard!! It's all region 5 from this point on! Some of us still have faith in you regardless of what you may think!!

    GO GREEN WAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. 82cat,

Glad to have Smyrna back on the schedule. Always enjoyed watching Wolke, Johnson & crew. Glad to hear Gray is at 100%. I wouldn't want it any other way.

Having said that...Smyrna should win this game, but maybe with a little of that Green Wave magic, we can make a game of it. As I see it, win or lose, it will only help our young team. After this week, it's all Region 5.

Welcome back Bulldogs & GO GREEN WAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Good luck Green Wave!!!

My personal opinion...everyone in the community had high expectations for last year's team. Maybe, too high. (Myself included) But who knows, maybe not putting that pressure on this year's group will be a blessing. If I remember correctly, after our first state title in 1978, not much was expected of the 79 squad. They proved to be formidable opponents & I believe were beaten in the state semis by an always tough Jackson Central Merry in OT.

I think this will be a close game, but hopefully the Wave will pull the W.

82cat...looking forward to renewing that rivalry with Smyrna. I am excited to see Sonny Gray play in person! (I might think differently after the game) Good luck to your team this year!

    GO GREEN WAVE!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. How'd the Gallatin QB's do? I guess that position is still up in the air? It sounded like in the paper that Boo wants the job. It would be unusual for Coach to give it to a soph., don't you think? Will be interesting to see. Good luck fellas!

    Who will be the DB's & LB's?

    C-ya at the jamboree!!

  7. Who will the starting QB be? To my knowledge, it's still up in the air. As far as turning the new QB loose... nothing new. Would be nice to develop some sort of passing game. Regardless, I will be there cheering them on!

    GO GREEN WAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way, are the season tickets on sale yet? Haven't seen anything in the paper, but maybe I missed it.

  8. I think any athelete, parent or sports fan in the state of Tennessee would like to see young man get to play in this game. What an honor for him! Good luck Sonny! Gallatin is behind ya!!

  9. I know Beech was dropped from next year's schedule, but who else? Am looking forward to renewing these two old rivalries. Mt. Juliet/Gallatin games were always huge back in my high school days (late 70's & early 80's) Glad to hear we will also play Smyrna again (even though we will more than likely get our butts handed to us). I'd rather play a tougher schedule & lose a couple of games, than go 10-0 through regular season & getted THUMPED in the first round!

I think Gallatin will be decent, but young. One thing for sure...they won't have the pressure on them like last year's squad, so who know's?

Any other prospects at QB besides Boo Boo? What about Patrick or Critchelow?
