  1. I think this is the year Alcoa will beat Maryville I know that this is said every year but I think Alcoa is loooaded they have experance in key positions already have a game under their belt and coach Rankin is no slouch. I think that Maryville is going to struggle this game and possibly all year .The lack of experance in key positions and the positions that should be nailed down are still not where they should be .I see the teams of Ryan Tallent ,Maples ,Hunt ,Woods,Clement.Voto, left with last years seniors and is not as prevalent with this group. I belive G.Q.and CO will have there work cut out for them.So if Alcoa is going to beat Maryville this is the year to do it because the up and comming classes will bring back the teams of the past . ALCOA 21 MARYVILLE 10

  2. I'm walkin' down the road

I see a man on the street

    He's wearin' Black & Red

We're going to break their streak

    He doesn't know it yet

but he will in a week

    Friday night rolls around

    the crowd is going insane

The announcer's voice on the PA

Booms over the stadium with my name

    Rankin is calling for captains

This year will not be the same

Frist drive is three and out

    and Alcoa gets the ball

    The punt returner fields it

Wow! he looks like Dante Hall

The game is gong according to plan

The mighty giant is about to fall

Man you need to get out of fantasy land because that is the only place that is going to happen ha ha ha GO REBELS /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  3. I have a question for Alcoa fans . Do the two cheer leaders standing next to the blow up helmet get hazard pay ? I was watching and when the fog comes out you can`t even see them and they have to hold the facemask open .ha ha ha /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  4. good game to both teams, hope to a speedy recovery for tyler.

p.s. who ever that is at the gate to the "red devil zone" or whatever it is called needs to get off his high horse and realize that he has no reason to be on a power trip and needs to start respecting people.

I agree with you that guy was power hungry he finally gave up and left .Why did they try to keep the maryville fans off the field it `s not like their going to hurt the field that is how we show our support after the game we let the visitors on the field so I see no problem with it /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  5. I think this will be a good game .Maryville had a tough game at halls and that will be a plus for them the only thing that concerns me is that if the offense makes the same mistakes they made at halls Alcoa will make the Rebs pay .If the defense can play with the same intensity they did at Halls and the running game keeps getting better Maryville can win this game. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  6. just read the paper and it says that maryville qb aaron chamberlain is out for 3 weeks due to surgery. was he the starter going into the game or what? how will this affect maryville's offense?

Aaron Chamberlain was named the expected starter for the Rebels as per the Daily Times. He does throw the ball well and is very accurate .Mark is very capable of running the team. /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />

  7. Hey if you Maryaville folks would notice there is only one person from Oak Ridge who is even on here with you all.

This is the same as the last few years. Maryville kicks Oak Ridges butt but looks bad doing it, then Oak Ridge brags about how bad Maryville looked. And how good we looked. Jeez it's just a scrimmage after one week of practice. Neither coach really knows what he has..till it's a real game let it go!

    AMEN /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  8. Inside sources say that Aaron Chamberlain who was the backup last year and Mark Young are the top two Zane Winders is trying Q.B. but working at reciver also .Those three work togeather and the other Q.B`s work on something else when they are throwing .Some of the Q.B.`S need to do some serious work to prove themself to the coach. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  9.

Never ever would I reveal my sources and they are not always correct so take it with a grain of salt. As for the behind the plate deal........the answer is yes......... /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

Your allrite MLREB I don`t care what Oldrebel says and good luck to your offspring at M.C. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  10. Rumor mill material......... It's Eulings (SP) job at Maryville if he will step up and take it.....otherwise Mark Young

    What rumor mill have you been hearing that from? Or did you get hit a little too hard calling from behind the plate at M.L.L /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

  11. We went to the combine in Atlanta . Don`t know if it was worth the drive down if you registered on line they still registered people walking up in turn there were way too many kids there. The 40yard timers were acting up and did not give accurate times. On the shuttle run kids were slipping even with cleats on .The power ball throw I don`t know how they measured that no lines where they threw the ball just had a guy standing about 5 yards back then go to where he thinks the ball landed was not a good experience for us and some other people we know that went .It may be better at other events. By the way if there were any college coaches there you couldn`t tell. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  12. You are right Rebelron if the Maryville faithfull were worried about the quarterback position they needed to see the game and the could lay that worry to rest .Iam not saying they were Brent but they can take this team back to the state.#12 Aaron made a nice 40 yrd pass to the reciver over middle for that score and could of had another if the reciver had not droped that slant pass .#14 Mark had a good 35 yard run to set up a score and passed the ball good. Overall the first offense looked impressive.

  13. To stop the rumors Maryville never went to Clinton to ask any Q.B. to come and play. Maryville has 3 Q.B. that can get the job done 2 will be seniors #12 Aaron chamberlain was backup to Brent last year #14 Mark Young and junior #15 Phillip juhlin. As for running backs Tim Rodriguez was a senior and is gone but the running backs returning well lets just say remember Tank Baker? /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  14. For years they have had the greatest schedule. Now when they get into 5A, there butts will be travelling just like the rest of the world does. They have never played anyone outside of Blount Co in a non-region game, if my memory is correct. The farthest they have to travel for a reg. season game is to Clinton. When they get into 5A they will be on the road week after week. They scrimmage DB and OR but playing them instead of scrimmaging MIGHT BE DIFFERENT. Same with SDHS (and that aint South Doyle) and OHS and Farragut.

In case you didn`t know Maryville does travel to the boro that is. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
