  1. In Tim Haney's defense, I will say when the talent was there he was very successful. Trenton is really a big A school playing AA ball. He did have some great teams in the early 90's, including a class A Clinic bowl appearance. Tim Haney is the principle at Peabody and he will reccomend his friend. I can't say that I blame him. That's what friends are for.
  2. Coach Scott may deserve a head coaching job, but should it be Peabody. There are players who play football for four years and never see the field. If they are not good enough to play they don't play. Kent Scott would make a good defensive coordinator on the division one level. Maybe Trenton should look for a good offensive coordinator and give Scott the job. That may be the best case scenario. But if there is a very good coach out there that is available we had better get him now. Bring someone in here different even if he is just a good offensive coach. By the way there is a former Martin Westveiw coach in Trenton. Maybe he can bring that Martin look to TRenton. We want the best coach that is available. If that is Scott fine, but let it be fair, not Tim Haney and Lary Ridings politics. May the BEST man win the job. I think fans should have a say in this matter, We have been seeing a downslide in our football program for a long time and we don't want to continue this trend. If you agree with this article please post your opinion or if you disagree please post.
  3. Is Coach Scott the man for the job as head football coach or should he continue to be the defensive coordinator, which by the way happens to be a darn good one. I believe Peabody needs someone who knows OFENSE.
  4. I want to hear from the Peabody fans. I Kent Scott the man for the job,or should Peabody look for a fresh new start with a quality outside coach?
  5. Peabody in A Gibson County AA Shelbyville AAA
  6. Hey back at you. I said overall talent. Bradford hands down has been the most sucsessful program in the state along with Oak Ridge and Shelbyville. I think we can get three in a row , it is very possible. Even though Bradford and Trenton are big rivalries they still support each other when the other goes to the Boro. Tonya Tuggles, M. Street, V. Swindle were all great players but the best female athlete pound for pound was Tesa Fields and everyone knows that. There has alson been a lot of Talent in Trenton's past but we did not have a David Russel. If we had him I think Trenton would have at least 8 state championships. I must not forget the best player I have ever seen in this area next to Tesa is Jessica Hensen.
  7. Hey Dresden, it's okay to have high hopes, but lets's be realistic. Peabody is the team to beat and until you do that shut your trap. If the region is played in Dresden which it is not and you paid the refs 1,000,000 dollars you might have a chance to beat Trenton. I do think that you might give Trenton a early scare but that's it. Remember the scare you gave Trenton during the regular season and got blown out in your own gym by Peabody in the region. Peabody girls are like Milan football, it's like money in the bank. TRENTON PEABODY SHOULD REAPEAT, I think Lake County girls will be the sleeper.
  8. Last year Trenton had to beat a very good Ezell Harding team to take home the gold. Can they do it again, It is very likely that they will. This team is loaded with size and speed. They return all starters from last year. This team looks to be even better the next year. The team has a very good class of Juniors. The seniors are very good also. They are loaded. They are good Christian girls and to those who like to sterotype, these girls are equally as good in the class room. Coach Patterson is gone. He left for the money and a challenge I asume. He left a goldmine of talent. Veteran Coach Colvin formerly of Humboldt is now at the helm. He brings a lot of knowledge and tradition of winning to a team that is very coachable and good. He has two or thee state championships under his belt which he won a Humboldt. Hey Humboldt, your lost is our gain, and you all will see that come ball season. Things look really good in Trenton. If there are any group of girls that can take the upcoming pressure it is this group. Last years team won 33 games and lost two to powerhouse Gibson County Pioneers. They may not win as many games being they are a target and measuring for most programs that will have the opportunity to play them. This Trenton team has more talent overall than some of those grea Bradford teams. GOOD LUCK LADY TIDE
  9. Rumor is there are some good coaches out there who wants this job but they are not intersted in applying since they feel they have no chance. If Kent Scott is the best available coach, hire him. If there are some quality coaches out there, please appy for this job. You will not be disapointed. Tenton is ready for change. Nothing against coach Scott but I do not think he is the man for the job. Peabody needs a coach who knows OFENSE. If you are out there please apply.
  10. I believe that Milan is the better public school team. There have been some great public school football teams who have been beaten by these private school power houses. Trenton Peabody, Huntindon, Westview, Union City and Humboldt have had good teams who unfortunately had to face a Goodpasture or a David L. I don't have any respect and most true highschool football fans don't respect the private schools. We play with what mamma gave us. Get in your own league. Go Bulldogs.
  11. I want to know who will be Peabody's new football coach. There are rumors that Tim Haney will retire after this season. He's leaving at a bad time, cause there is a lot of young talent coming up in Trenton. There are also rumors that they will be hiring a in house coach. Give me a break. I don't know if all of this is true, will someone let us Tide fans know.
  12. Daniel Beasley of Milan Daylen Walker of Milan Bill Joyner of Trenton
