St Georges will bring their best game and be hard to beat and especially since FACS has lost last 2 by a lot. This will be 1st time for St Georges to compete in playoffs so they will be gunning to get there. Their school has done much better than expected and with them getting their new field this year and having done so well I think they want in the playoffs very badly. Should be a good game. They have a young team but a very good coach who has done an excellent job. I know they are excited. Good luck to both teams. I don't know what happened to FACS last week with the blowout with Davidson but the week before FACS player said they just did not play well against SBEC and had a couple people get hurt in the game. SBEC changed up their formation and it has worked well for them the last several games. Good coaching there also.

Were your players that got hurt seniors? With Davidson it really won't matter too much. One or 2 injured really not make much of a difference playing against them. They will come out on top no matter unless they just simply play the most awful game and if they do they will just put 11 more in. They are the best team in our league and actually they could compete well with DIV 11 AA teams because of their size, school, etc. They fit in more like a AA team - "higher class" school with their own chartered busses, etc. They are kind of like a Briarcrest or something a couple years back. St Georges will be like that in a couple years and both of them will move up I think given time to AA. Catholic got a good coach too - cause he is good - and he is a motivator and he has his team believing in themselves and they have won more games this yr than any other. They have gotten better as year has goone by. Got to give him credit where credit is due.

Just didn't play good at all and of course their coach knows everything about every players of ours since he was our coach last yr so that didnt help. He knows the weakness and strengths and he capitalized on each of them. We finally picked up and played a little and got some breaks. We got 4 starters out - have had for last few games. Injuries, personal stuff, etc. So I know how ya feet. we lost one of our wr with a concussion cause he had 2 of them in same place and Dr said no more fb this season for him. Lost LB that was good last week with broke ankle. He a senior so I hated it for him.

Davidson Academy will take it. No question about it.

I told yall that Davidson would whip Bryne. There is no comparison this yr. Bryne is not nearly as good and Davidson got a good team. Last yr Bryne could have given them a contest but not this yr. Thats how it goes. Players come and players go - some yrs you got good teams that jell and sometimes not. Davidson got a good team and Byrne is just off this yr. FACS and Davidson are next. Davidson should take that one also.

What happened here? I couldn't believe the score and had to refocus my eyes when I saw this. Crsdr - what went wrong? I really didn't expect yall to loose by that much or at all to tell the truth.

FACS - the real deal? Not hardly. They got a good team but if you push them - over and over - you will win. They have played a very, very, very easy schedule until the last couple games. Byrne has went downhill this year - which usually does not happen. St Georges is a very good team and from what I understand all was pretty even with them - But FAC got a fumble recovered and capitalized off of it. St Georges is very young team. Only got about 2 seniors - mostly sophmores - FACS has got about 11 or 12 seniors and 11 or 12 juniors. St Georges only got about 30 players, FACS this yr got about 40 or so. Yr or 2 for St Georges and they will be awesome. FACS got a good QB that is very athletic. He is good at all sports - mostly basketball - but can do most all well. They got a couple little guys that are fighters and can usually get some good runs. They are not a physical team. Pretty well coached. QB can kick, punt and throw pretty good and can always pick up a few yards with a run.

Sorry, I was in a hurry. Yes academics are a high priority at our school. I don't know about the others. But it is true that excellent athletic departments will increase attendance faster than most anything else if you want "to grow" a school. Location and athletics are two main factors of private school growth. St George's is in an affluent area of Shelby county and the school board went right to work hiring the best coaches available. Facilities are awesome and summer programs abound. It has paid off for them because they have waiting list for enrollment and facility debt will be retired quickly. Above medium income level families will move their students there to play for coaches, training and equipment like that. Had they not used athletics to enhance enrollment, I do not believe they would be where they are now. I think it is a smart thing to do. Just not everyone agrees due to the age old gripe about academics and athletics not going hand in hand.

Byrne has went steadily downhill this year and Rosemark played an awful game against them. Our fault - nobody elses. But Davidson can certainly beat FACS - they may not - who knows - maybe they will have a bad game that night - but they most likely will not and if some are - they have enough good players and depth to just move the ones having bad night out and the good night in. I believe Davidson will win the game.

I can't stand jerks like the Pope 57. Just shows who the real football players truly are in my opinion. Thanks Div 11.

No they don't . Have seen em in past yrs but this yr 25 is the fastest in Div 11 a league.

both teams well coached. Byrne not good as usual this yr but they still good. just don't have QB and speed that had in recent yrs. St Georges will be next team to go on top in next yr or 2. They got the money to sspend on training, coaching, all that stuff too so they will be force. they will get the athletes also and have it all. they will be hard to beat in a yr or 2. Davidson must be nice school too since they got their own charter bus, etc. we all just small poor schools with no money to spend on athletics so athletics just be something added since they got to have it but no emphasis put on it like St georges and Davidson. Course that is a reason that private schools usually get bigger cuase of athletic teams that rank good but everybody don't see it that way.

Dont think much of a surprise. Rosemark knew Davidson had big line and was good team. Rosemark did not have many of their regular players so they knew not much of a chance. But davidson can beat bryne and Facs for sure if they use 25. they didnot use him much and I did not know why not. He is very very good - speed cutting and all that. can break tackles and get through. Game pretty close thru first half - scored right before the half - just seconds away from half score was only 7 -0 which was good for what Rosemark had on the field compared to what Davidson had on field. That will also help davidson - the fact they got so much depth to positions. all other Div 11 A schools don't have that - so I think they should win Championship easy. QB had some speed running also but didnt throw much. Have to watch for interceptions if throw on next 2 games so I'd keep up the running. Will get further that way if use 25 against FACS and Byrne.

Is that number 25? He is very good, can break tackles and get thru real good. Saw him at Rosemark. But they did not play him that much? Why? Ball was carried by 27 a lot. Davidson got some size on the line which will be good - but Byrne has some speed to. They will need 25 more in that game (if that his number) Byrne not nearly as fast as in years past but they still well coached usually. They have not played as well this year though. Davidson should win against Byrne I think. If Davidson uses 25 to their advantage and line steps it up they could win Championship in my opnion cause they got depth and most of the other Div 11 A teams don't have near as many players dressed out to alternate or they are all underclassmen with not much experience. Div 11 A teams are usually small - maybe 30 players max. Most only have about 15 with experience and play both ways so Davidson has advantage on that over all the teams in the division.

The QB gets frustrated when he rushed, over and over. Keep the pressure cookin. Rosemark had all players playing that game and just kept pushing. Penalties for FACS were ridculous due to getting them frustrated.

Don't judge Rosemark by that goon - I am a players parent and yes, you are right. He should not be on here posting like that. That is very immature and does not represent Rosemark well at all. I apologize for his remarks. I read Coacht each week on my son's login and I am appalled at this post. Stupid post such as that simply reveal some of why we have a team that lost to Byrne. There must be some level of intelligence to play the game and there should be leaders on the field - not those that find enjoyment in putting others down due to race or school affiliation. Hopefully the coach will take care of this post. I do know that he reads from this site. As for FACS - you do have a good team, you fell apart last year with some players hurt, we probably would have done the same if we would have had several hurt and not just our best running back. We had good fillins and our season went well except the championship game where our best players simply "dropped the ball". I am sure they have gone over that game a hundred times but that is the way it goes. But you loose as a team and you win as a team. We have athletes that are just as good this year - not all in the same way - but just as good none the less BUT leadership, dedication, teamwork, etc. have got to go along with it. A few adjustments need to be made in my opinion including using some of our other running backs to compliment the backs we currently use. I think we have the talent there just need to use it but I am not the coach, just a parent. Hopefully Rosemark players will show up for the FACS game this week and the game will be a good rival game.

I think there are teams in West Tn better than Germantown by far. So I disagreee with that statement - beating any by 20 but you do have a good team and should be fine.

LB/RB not hurt at Rosemark. Don't know where that got started. We lost one (our best) last yr but not this one. BUT we have got to have all teammembers playing team football (every person working hard and doing their job) and right now we are not. When you got a small team everybody got to step up and it ain't happening right now. Game against Byrne was pitiful and Byrne is not that good this year. If everybody would have been playing hard - no way we should have lost that game. And we got our butts beat. FACS got a good team this year. It jut might be their year. don't know about Davidson yet and we could kick in and start doing what we suppose to and be really really good. Just have to see.

home page shows Rosemark forfeited and it should show as a region win due to forfeit. It will be the same for all the teams that had them scheduled. We should now be 2-1 and not 1-1.

Thanks for the info. I take it Friendship is not a caliber team. We play them in about 4 or 5 weeks. I'll let ya know then what we think. thanks.

Thought middle Tn fans knew their football programs so well. It is west Tn that always gets dogged for not knowing stuff and participating- guess that is wrong.
