  1. Morris is a wingT killer. Looking forward to a great game. The Dawgs have had awesome games the last few trips to Historic Wright Field. The running back better be ready to put the Lion team on his back because the Dawgs are rolling right now. Pretty young team and they like the smell of success. Lots of young talent coming down the path in Milan. Go Dawgs!!

  2. This is a horrible district travel wise for the Mustangs. I wonder if the Stangs and Dawgs will be able to continue our annual tilt. A shame to see it discontinued. The travel you guys are looking at is just too much. Few natural rivalries in the district. Good luck and hopefully we can still match up next year.

Milan makes the Semi's with a late season run that follows the tradition of many past teams. Now CPA in the semi's is a different story but that is way down the line. First we gotta tackle the Westview team that got us in the regular season. Time for a little Bulldog payback.

  4. Dawgs looking for a little revenge in the first round game in Martin. Guessing Westview didn't see this rematch taking place so soon. Milan playing well over the last few weeks. My guess is Dawgs have great focus this week and take care of business. Westview with another early exit from the playoff picture. Bad break for the Chargers with the draw.

  5. I think some of the athletes sgc has will suprise people. They may not have as big big-play ability as the waldens did but theyre good and there is alot of em. More than i realized and a lot of them will be soph. and junior. So I dont think theyll scrap the offense; itll still be the triple-option, i think theyll throw the ball more an may spread the field more. Hayden is a more acurate passer than carlos and he can run too.

Only time will tell what these two teams can do going foward. I hope Milan vs. SGC next year is as good as it has been the past 2 (regular season) games.

I agree you will have some kids step up. Most teams are surprised by one or two that make that giant leap into playmakers. My biggest thought about SGC is they are losing that big play ability you talked about. It could be 3rd and 8 and there was a decent chance Carlos would get the first down. That will not happen near as much next year. That's the biggest difference I see.

  6. Garner and Mays will both be seniors next year @ Milan. Crockett will be good for sure. South Gibson will have trouble transitioning from the spread into another offense imo. If they try and run the spread I don't believe they have the athletes to run it sucessfully but time will tell. They will have a big chip on their shoulder to prove they can compete without the Walden brothers. Milan will need some help from upcoming sophmores but there were some definite bright spots with a few of the sophmores this year. #6, #9, #55 & one more, just can't remember the uni number all played signifigant snaps this year. Milan's seniors will need to show leadership to get back to the championship again.

  7. Computer trouble at home so I'm at work and I thought I would give this thread one last look before the game. Listen, we all know about last year and what happened. Just like last week, Milan will need to catch some breaks. And also just last last week, I believe the Dawgs will catch them. Milan handled an outstanding CPA team last week. I think Milan holds CAK to under 35 and CAK is stunned late in the game with tipped passes.

    Milan 37

    CAK 34

    GO DAWGS!!!!

  8. Yes! Your coaches, film, and radio will all have to go from the roof of the home side pressbox. CPA will also have a film girl and coaches on the roof. The inside of the pressbox is used by the CPA broadcast and the public address crew.

That's how it was last year when we (Cheatham) went to CPA in the First Round Game.

Thanks - Congrats on a good year for Cheatham. I hear you guys ran a pounding ground game this year. I look forward to seeing a game or 2 in the next few weeks on film.

  9. How many yard did Hickman have on offense?

Hickman had 189 yards total offense. 88 rushing & 101 thru the air. And for those post talking about flags tonight. Hickman had 5 flags, Milan had 7 against them.

Hickman played hard. Their boys gave it a great effort but they were out "athleted" tonight. Congrats on a great year. Milan has their hands full next Friday night. Playing after Thanksgiving.....Always makes for a fun Holiday.

  10. Milan has had the Lions number in the past and I'd look for it to continue this Friday night. Camden's offense is very one dimensional in the run. Now granted they may run it with a few different guys but they aren't going to drop back in the pocket and fling it 15-20 times unless it's late in the game. One of the many things that will help the Dawgs is balance on offense. I say Dawgs by 14 at least.
