  1. And have 0 STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS to show for it which means that your guys will be the ones who are nervous because in the back of their minds they know that they still have to "get over the hump".

Yea, Those 16,17 & 18 year olds are in therapy as we speak about the failure of those who have recently gone before them. C'mon man, we did get beat by the best in the state in 08 & 09 and we still feel we could play with Alcoa in those games. But we made the mistakes and they took full advantage of them. They were the best!! We didn't expect the semi's last yer and most everybody was pleased to be there. This Friday night? Who knows? But I bet you one thing......If and I mean IF we win, you will be pulling for the team out of the east. Because that is what you do!!! HATER!!!! LOL

  2. Game Video of Huntingdon SPANKING Milan During the Regular Season

    ENJOY!

Oh yeah, Huntingdon couldn't beat CPA this year either so don't even begin to say that please..........unless you want to provide me with comic relief for the day :roflol:

Howdoitknow2 - Does CPA run this version of the wing for thier base offense? I don't think so or at least I haven't seen any of it on film yet. It's obvious to everyone you are jealous of Milan and the sucess they have every year. I understand!! When your program has a good year I think everyone is happy for them but you are the kind of guy that everybody dislikes - even worse than ole Swing!!! You see....he just mouths to get everybody stirred up a little bit, you been hatin on us for years. Someday maybe you'll be a winner, but you dude....you got issues. I'll pay your way in Friday night if it will bring you to the Dawg Pound. Now you gonna have to talk one of them CPA fans into picking you up on the way down, gas has done got too high for me to do both. I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

  3. I agree. How we ever beat a PC team twice that beat 4A semifinalist Maplewood is a fluke. CPA's whole season at 12-1 has been a fluke, especially considering we never practice. <_<

The interesting thing is I have been doing this CoachT thing long enough to remember these same Milan posts prior to the Goodpasture game they lost. :thumb:

Your memory does serve you correct. I am hoping that our playmakers won't be as lost in the moment as they were early last year. That 20 point hole we dug ourselves was a little too deep to climb out of in 48 minutes.

Obviously you guys are gonna be well coached. Do you think CPA gets a case of the nerves when the ball kicks Friday night? We have been to 4 straight Semifinals and I am hoping that helps the Dawgs.

  4. Posted by DANR on Saturday - I have not seen Milan play this year, but looking at schedules it seems CPA is more battle tested. Milan really hasn't played very many tough teams. CPA has played PC twice, GP twice, and a whole lot of 4a teams, including Maplewood. Each team has one loss. Milan to eliminated 1a huntington, CPA to semi finalist 4a maplewood.

I believe if you follow this link to Sonny Moore's Power Ratings, you'll see that CPA's strength of schedule is rated as tougher than Milan's.

    Sonny Moore's Power Ratings

I acknowledge the fact that CPA is rated 2 whole slots ahead of Milan in the Sonny Moore Power Rating but really? C'mon Man!!! I made my initial statement on page 1 or 2 based on DANR stating Milan hasn't played anybody. Really? Now we haven't played the hardest schedule in the state or even close to it but CPA's slate of teams isn't much different or harder. Go ahead and talk all you want but the proof will be in the pudding. CPA and Milan will give all they have Friday night. When it is over I think Milan will still be standing and CPA will still have a power rating better than Milan by 2 whole slots. :roflol::roflol::roflol:

Milan by 7-10 points at least.

  5. I have not seen Milan play this year, but looking at schedules it seems CPA is more battle tested. Milan really hasn't played very many tough teams. I know that is your opinion but after really looking at CPA schedule who are their quality wins other than GP and PC? Granted they beat them twice each, but we beat a very good Westview team twice and also got the W against a team playing the Maplewood team you mentioned. CPA is a good team no doubt but I really don't think their strength of schedule is tougher than Milan's

  6. Has Arkel Coleman been playing Tailback?

Yes - In short yardage situations they bring him in sometimes. Sorta like Avery Williamson in that when he hits you the pile uasually goes with his momentum. He is just such a beast and plays very hard on every snap seems like.

  7. Speed.....Speed.....more Speed.....and maybe a little Power from a big ole tough tailback. Milan did not play well last night and still controlled the game. Fairview will have an advantage playing at home but I still believe Milan pulls the win out and host the Semi's.

  8. I haven't seen a game since the poor showing against Huntingdon. How are they looking, BF2?

Last week was the best they have looked all year. All the talent that we kept waiting to see was on display. QB looked sharp, recievers were catching passes, O line was opening up huge holes, defense wraped up and stayed in position. You name it we did it. If they play that way 4 more games I like our chances. Now after getting the good stuff out of the way, that is the first time we have looked that good in 11 games. Could be we are peaking or could've been a flash. Hope they team is getting serious and peaking at the right time. If so, then next few weeks could be a lot fun!!! Really hard to figure this team out.

  9. I am nervous about this one, not because I think GP is better, but we have been a little shaky offensively lately - nagging injuries, penalties, etc.. I think our defense will hold GP to below 28, but we need to make some big special team or offensive plays to outscore them. The series has been pretty even, but they have owned the playoffs against us.

    CPA by 7 ....... I hope

  10. Cannot contain what? The tight end? I wasn't at the game, I only saw the score and read the Sun article. Maybe you're being jocular, I don't know. Containing the TE is not something you typically hear.

I think he is talking about the split end lined up on the TE rear. Tight formation brought all 11 of the hornets in the box and a little play action made them bite. It was a beautiful thing if you're a Bulldog fan.

  12. Where will the semifinals be played? Are the quad locations preset or depend on results and seeding?

My understanding of reading the bylaws show that if the seeds are the same then it would be Quad #1 & Quad #3. If the seeds are different in the semi's then the higher seed host.

  13. i hate the bye week. It is good if you are beat up and need the rest but other than that it makes it hard to keep the focus. Especially, if you get a bad draw and end up with a week 10 bye week as well. Adamsville played Mckenzie on the 21st and will not play again until the 11th. Talk about hurting ol mo.

Riverside was the beneficiary of no other 2a teams in their quad winning or placing second in their district, not their fault. The system is better than rewarding some teams in the past with only one win, but it has a lot of tweaking that needs to happen.

If I was an Adamsville fan I would be asking why we have a bye in week 10. This is the 3rd year of this format and Adamsville is good enough the last few years there was a decent chance they were gonna get a bye. Looks to me the coach would try to get that bye moved to week 7,8 or maybe 9? He may have tried, I don't know but to be off 2 consecutive weeks can be dangerous if you face a really good 2nd round team.

  14. I think Fairview got a really bad draw. Hickman has gotten better every game. If, I said if, Hickman can play solid on special teams, this one could be close.

I show Fairview beat Hickman 44-7 earlier this year. Something tells me Fairview should be fine. Looks like Fairview got a couple of cupcakes for the first 2 rounds.

  15. No is an awful definate answer. If Camden gets by WV and I think they will. then Camsen will have to step up on Defense. Both Milan and Camden were beat by Huntingdon but played about the same game. Milan is predictable. They run the same offense they have always run. It worked for them in the past as well as this year so why should they change. Camden is a different offense this year with a QB with a better arm than any one in the past few years and runs a little more spread offense. If they should meet, Camden will have a good chance. Not saying they will win but they will have a fighting chance if they work on Milans predictable offense in defensive practice. The reason Milan got beat last year in the playoffs was their defense against the pass. Go Camden

I thought the reason we got beat last year in Goodpasture was the 21 points they scored in the first 5 minutes (14 off of turnovers). After we settled down we played ok and actually out scored them but couldn't overcome the 21-0 deficit. If Camden couldn't beat us last year at home with the team they had, I don't see it happening at our house this year.

Who knows if this game will ever play out this year. Both teams have to win a couple of hard match-ups against regular season foes. Good luck to you guys this week. Both you and Milan will need a good game to advance.

  16. The wife made the trip with me do we stopped in Jackson. Atmosphere was nice, you can tell the facilities are a work in progress but I love the location of the school.

The QB from South Gibson is special. It was worth the trip last night.

:thumb: He is a special player. Without him their entire offense would have to change.
