It's going to be hot on Sunday, so please remember to bring a water bottle and
some sunscreen. Fury will have coolers and water as well. Looking forward to
the tryout.
-
Will the tryouts be held on the high school field or the middle school field? I heard the high
school field was all turf, and wasn't sure if the boys could wear metal cleats, or if they needed
to bring sneakers. Please advise.

Several responses asking for the address to the Ringgold High School softball field.
The address to the school is 29 Tiger Trail, Ringgold, Georgia 30736. The softball
field is located just behind the main entrance to the high school.

A pitcher that will emerge this season is Katie Henderson from Silverdale Baptist in Chattanooga. This is the first time she has been truly healthy over the past 2 years. She had a great fall with her club team, and verbally committed to Kentucky this fall. Keep your eye on her. Great velocity, good curve, and nasty change up....

Let's talk about pitchers...
-
-
I had Shelby Heath from Blackman pitch a tournament for me over the summer. She should develop into a great pitcher this year also.
What year is Shelby Heath? Sounds like someone to keep an eye on.
-
Another young one with great stuff is Grace Academy lefty Lacye Walker. She is only a sophmore, but has been the Ace of her staff since the 8th grade. Look for great things from her this year.

-
Write this name down. She is only a freshman, but Katie Henderson from Boyd Buchanan School in Chattanooga will do some amazing things this year.

-
Who will be the top pitchers in Tennessee this year?

We still have 9 spots open for the recruiting showcase. The final cutoff date will be Tuesday
June 3rd. All registrations and payments must be received by then in order to participate in
the Showcase. If you have any questions please contact Coach Higdon at jhigdon2003@yahoo.com.
-
Dan Burns of Lincoln Memorial University has confirmed that he will be recruiting at the Showcase.
-
ETSU will be recruiting at the showcase.....We still have a few more spots open for recruits. You should contact Coach Higdon at jhigdon2003@yahoo.com if you are interested in performing in front of these college coaches.
-
Ooltewah leads Beech 6-1 in the 5th, and GPS is ahead 10-0 in the 3rd.
-
Union College out of Barbourville Kentucky has just confirmed that they will be attending the showcase. Head Coach Bubba Szary will be in attendance.
-
Vol State CC will be recruiting at the showcase on June 10th.... We are now over 20 college coaches who have
registered to attend. We will have approximately 100 prospects participating in the showcase in front of 20+ coaches. I think that's a pretty healthy ratio of coaches to prospects. Still room for about 25 more prospects. Register right away at jhigdon2003@yahoo.com
