You’re “not hatin for on the kid at all” but it sounds like you are. Kinda sad to claim to be an Oneida fan and then getting on here and calling him out on not being “mentally tough” when he is one of the best players on the field. I watched the Polk County game. That composure he showed to finish that game looked pretty “mentally tough” to me. 

You call him out for being “hurt” when he has had a nagging hip injury for the entire season that he’s been treated for on multiple occasions. A concussion… which you can’t stay in the game for. Bleeding.. which you can’t stay in the game for. He gets the crap beat out of him every game and has to play every offensive down. Idk about you, but I would be pretty worn down too. It’s not like he’s a massive brick house that can take every hit without flinching. 
 

I follow these boards often. Considered getting on here to throw out an opinion when someone called out #2 which was uncalled for. And to be a “huge Oneida fan” and dog your quarterback who has had a heck of a season? Makes me lose a lot of respect for you. This is not the place to come to the internet and bash individual players that are 30-40 years younger than you. These are not professional athletes. They’re HIGH SCHOOL KIDS. And they look at these things. And most of them are very good kids on and off the field. 
 

There are a lot of good players on this Oneida team and the quarterback is a great leader. And no amount of your “I’ve been a part of football for 50 years” is going to change my mind on that opinion.

officer, im not related to soccer10, but u may be related to youdontknowme,metro1992,lishooter, or 81booger who are affectionally none as the oneida basketball know it alls. here in highlander nation we know our limits and we deal with it. oneida basketball has the bottom of the barrel basketball coaches. our cast off is your gain. our boys team battled campbell county hard with less talent than oneida. we didnt have such all star coaching as yaden (county champs several times) and coach stevo (state champ) who has his name on a (banner) right up there with the oneida football and basketball champions. i am a relative of one of the players, the girls got thumped by York last Tuesday night, i ask my family why the girls are so bad ,they replied by saying the girls were vere dissatisified with their female assistant coach. They told me there were problems last year and it was brought to the head coach and he done nothing about it and things are gettin worse this year. They tell me Coach West is a good coach but he needs to take care of this problem before it destroys OHS GIRLS BASKETBALL. They also said the girls lost out on a extra pair of shoes because she got into the shoes and took her a pair leaving the team short. Your statements are ridiculously false! Why do you feel the need to belittle such an excellent young women, wife, and mother? What are these "problems" you speak of? Can you back up any of these statements? What parents have complained? The "Female Coach" you speak of has done nothing wrong and is way to good of a person to even think about doing something wrong. She does not "promote" her sister as you say, she acctually says very little about her at all. You need to get your facts straight before you open a brand new account and hide behind a screen name. Yea I know, I was there. Cloudland drove down to about the 15 or 20 on he second/third string defense and TL stuck the starters or at least most of them back in to save the shut out and Cloudland scored on the very next play.

He needed them all the 2 previous weeks but they were standing on the sideline. Cosby was not a cupcake, and if they didn't fumble on a fake punt or drive to the 1 yard line before halftime and not get in, then the Eagles would have won that game. Moser is not gonna play the kids unless he feels confident they didn't do it. I may be wrong but I think he is trying to prove a point to the underclassmen.

Oneida didn't have to do anything special on offense because the defense scored twice.

Didn't Friendship Christian only beat Watertown 13-7.....I also think that Watertown only lost because of 2 big plays. I don't think I would be putting them in the same category with South Pitt and Trousdale. To be honest with you, I don't think I would even put Trousdale into the same category as South Pitt.

Speaking on the game at Coalfield this week. Who are their top players and do they have anybody in the line that can handle Colin Powell? Just call him the Secretary of Defense. I see in the region standings that Coalfield is below Oakdale so if they are below them then we should have another easy game. Is region 2 that down this year? I think we have a good chance for all four of our teams to win in the playoffs. Who will be the #4 in region 2? That is who we will play. You were very mistaken when you said Region 2 is down this year. Oneida, Greenback, Midway, and Harriman are the top 4 teams, and I seriously doubt "Perfection" will be accomplished once you play any of those 4 teams. To be honest with you, I think that "Perfection" will be lost after the Hampton game.

Oneida is not going to overlook Oakdale and I seriously doubt this game will be close. The only way Oneida will score in the second half is if the 2nd and 3rd string players do it.

It has been 16 years since the State Championship and 11 years since the last final 4 appearance. We have not fielded a team in a long time that has come close to resembling those of the 1990's so lets not put them back on that pedestal yet.

This years team has lots of talent but until the lights come on its all speculation.

Instead of worrying about the Indian record against the Morgan County schools, lets talk about their record against Scott County Schools. Oh that's right. They don't play Scott High.

I am not for sure what scrimmage you were watching but by my count Livingston beat Oneida 1-0 with the older boys, and Oneida beat Clay County 1-0 with the older boys. Livingston picked a bubble off and took it 30 yards to the end zone. I truly thought that Oneida was not nearly what they're made out to be. They are a solid football team but no were near Trousdale, Friendship , South Pitt and most likely many more teams from around middle TN. How they are ranked top 10 in the state is beyond me.

Oneida was the only team to score on offense. They scored 2 on LA and 1 on Clay Co. all against the "older boys." Oneida drove the ball all night and LA never had a gain of more than 10 yards. On the play where the ball was picked off and ran back for a TD the coach must have read the play because he moved the kid over in to perfect position right before the ball was snapped. It may not have been the dominating performance some expected but you can't take much from the first scrimmage of the year. I have a feeling the boys are gonna be ready when the lights come on! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

The Slaven kid has a stronger arm and more experience. But will he be the same after a couple leg surgeries and if he does come back will he be the same runner?

 

The Blevins kid has limited experience but he has played well in every game he has played in. my uncle said he saw the oliver springs game and he said the offense looked smooth and scored very willingly. the only game he had bad was the hampton game but what can u ask from him...?

 

personally i could see a duel qb system working there but that is just me? cause u always gotta think about next year
