  1. Tucked away in one of the strongest 3A regions in the state is Obion Co. Central...Having to deal with the Covingtons,Haywood Cos,Crockett Cos,Dyersburgs and Ripleys night after night is tough(I don't know how many regions can boast that 5 out of the 7 teams in their region had winning overall records)...But,OC has 19 seniors returning, most two and three year starters..OC is coming off a year in which they beat the #1 team in 3A(at the time)Covington, had another 3A #1 team(Dyersburg) on the ropes for 4 qtrs and beat state runnerup Union City (1A)..They lost several games by less than 5 points..With no major injuries and a break or two, this team could surprise alot of folks next season.....

    Good POST !

  2. Just more rhetoric from FBE Meritous about why they won't move up. More insults and slander to other teams. Its what all the Maryville people do when they know they are in the wrong.

And FBE...I'm sure your ring doesen't have the *

    your ring reads as follows:

Maryville High School - 2005 TSSAA 4A State CHUMPS

  3. Maryville is like the AAU programs who get fake birth certificates so the older kids can play on the younger team.

Why don't they move up and play in the right classification ?

Sure they dominate at the 4A level but why not see if you are as good as you say you are and make the move? Your coaches and AD will tell you its because the TSSAA mandates where they play and yada yada ya.......

They have had an opportunity for several years to petition the state and move up but have never chosen to. They (The Maryville administration)are cowards who are afraid that this so called "Dynasty" may fall apart and that the entire coaching staff would dismantle once they became 5A mediocrity.

The Maryville pretenders can and will continue to live in their Dyansty wonderland.

By the way....do those state championship rings have an astrick on them to let everyone know that you play in the wrong division ?

All the Maryville folks can say is "your stupid"..."your jealous"..."your an idioit"......but if you notice....not one of them ever answers the questions.

They run like the scared dogs they are and hide behind smoke and mirors.

Maryville High School 2005 4A state champions *

    * Enrollment exceeded 4A enrollment limits and the cowards are afraid to play the BIG BOYS.

  5. :thumb::D:lol::D That is hilarious. I love this board but there is more stupid than should be allowed at times. Let me enlighten you just a bit. Maryville was the best team in the state last year, at least in public schools. No way I can compare versus the privates since I didn't see them last year. Maryville would have beaten Ravenwood by a minimal of three scores. The team that Ravenwood squeaked by was convincingly THUMPED by the Red machine. Not to worry.....your education will come yea of very little football knowledge. 2009 can't get here soon enough. :thumb:

Give it up MLREB - The "fine folks" from the Big Red 'neck' machine are finally going to get a wake up call that they aren't good enough to compete at the highest level.

  6. Maryville better get ready to be the whipping post when they move to 5A. They have been beating all the 4A teams that they are supposed to beat and now its time to finally play with the BIG BOYS.

Rebel Ron, Stars and Bars and FBE Meritus will be crying in the stale brewskie next year when they can not compete.

Things are finally gonna catch up with them for running their mouths all these years.

  7. Would be fun to choose teams and play against each other.

In the First Round of the innagural CoachT.com High School Fantasy Basketball Draft.

The Billygoats select - Brandon Wright BA

Maybe have pools of 10 teams in each league. Roster spots could be filled by anyone playing highschool basketball in Tennessee. Each pool winner gets a CoachT.com hat and bragging rights.

Might be some work to get all the stats but I am sure iamoz could pull it off somehow.

What do you guys think ?

  8. This should be a very intresting matchup :

    Junkies keys to the game

RBS must play pressure defense all over the court to disrupt Jackson Co's offensive flow. They must create turnovers that lead to easy baskets and they must attack the basket in order to get to the free throw line. Coach White's rotation off the bench must come in and provide a spark (either offensive or defensive) to get the momentum of the game tilted in RBS's favor. Points off of TO's is the biggest factor.

JC must handle the RBS pressure and attack inside. Apple and Ross must have plenty of touches inside the arc. Their low post game will open up opportunities for their shooters to "find the range". JC must remain poised during RBS runs and stay focused on handling the basketball (especially in the backcourt). It will be intresting to see if Coach Brown's 1-3-1 half court trap will keep the lady Dawg's off balanced or if it leads to easy baskets.

This should be a great atmosphere and a fun game to watch. It is a critical game for district seedings and I expect both teams to lay it all on the line.

  9. Cully Rep

Junkies Keys to the Game :

If PC can control the boards and limit CC to one shot one the offensive end....they will give themselves a chance of winning the game. PC must try to limit unforced turnovers and make sure that they get the most out of every possesion as every posession will be critical. PC must stay out of foul trouble because I'm not sure they have the depth they need to compete if their post players (Roddy,Capps) get into trouble (especially early).

All the Clay County kids have had this game circled like DF has allready pointed out on this thread. I think the key for Coach Edward's squad is to channel all the emotion they are going to play with into positive energy. CC's slashers (Godwin and Kerr) must continue to make plays on drives and finish when they make it to the rack. This will open up their inside game when "help" comes from the weakside. Rich could be dominant if PC has to continually help on drive situations. Clay also shoots lots of three pointers with a great deal of long rebounds to the weakside (opposite where the shot came from)....if Clay can continually get put backs or 2nd chance opportunities....it could be a long ride back to Pickett Countyfor the Bobcats.

Should be a great high school basketball game...good luck to both teams.
