i personally think arsenal was the better team, look how hard it was to break them down with only 10 players, i mean their attacks when they got them were more usefull and they were just the better team, but how long can you hold out with 10 men against no question ONE of the best teams in the world?... i think on any other day, 11 vs 11 arsenal would have taken this... this was just one of those days it doesnt go your way though, i personally am not an arsenal fan, manchester united infact... but i felt the referee spoiled the game. i think he should have just played advantage, let the goal stand and play on... instead takes the goal back, sends him off, i dont think that was the right choice... and as for the rest of his calls, how is it that barcelona get 1 yellow card when arsenal had i think it was 4 or something, i mean barcelona had just as many, if not more hard fouls on arsenal players but werent getting booked!!! but as jens lehmann says "what can i do now? sure i am dissappointed, but life goes on"... but it was a great game, hope to see henry at arsenal still next year....

yes, arsenal has a very tough defense, but it was only a matter of time before barca broke them down. yes, the ref should have played the advantage but if he had barca would have been up and i honestly don't think arsenal would have been able to score any more than they did even with 11 because they should not have even had the chance for the one goal that they had. when looking at the replay of the "foul," the guy wasn't even touched (can't remember who it was). nevertheless, campbell had a very nicely placed header. to say that any other day arsenal would have one, i think is a bold statement because it didn't seem to me that barca played one of their better games. lastly, to say that the ref didn't hand out enough yellows to barca is partially true but there was only like one other time when he should've handed out a yellow to a barca player. anyway, i respect your opinion but i just don't think everything was completely accurate.

not to be condescending, but i'm a little surprised that this is posited as a serious question. high school soccer is a lot of fun and winning state would pro'ly be great (i've never done better than second, so i wouldn't know for sure, i guess) but it's really just offseason for real (club) soccer. the two are almost entirely different games both in terms of individual skill and tactical sophistication and club, being the far more advanced of the two in both categories is more intense, rewarding and worthwhile.

I concur. I haven't played very long and i've only played one year of club but i had so much more fun in club than i did with the high school. I'm very competitive in everything i do so i want to be challenged and club offers bigger challenges as far as talent goes than high school soccer. just my opinion.

i also disagree....although we are not known for our soccer, we still have a very good team.

when is this game? and will it be on espn2 or somethin?

not 100% on this, but i think stjohndoe is john st. george who is the guy that you guys are talkin about. so, if he did quit then i don't think he'll be on here anymore.

i don't know y u think that ur gonna beat madison....sure, ur defense is ok, but ur offense hardly ever gets any shots on goal, and sometimes hardly any shots period. if madison is even a little bit on their game they won't have a problem.

i play for lexington and i apologize for whoever that is. whoever you are, you need to shut your mouth. don't talk stuff that we can't back up. and by the way...the only reason the score was 1-0 against adamsville was because they forfeited, genius.

don't get the wrong idea...i'm not agreeing that we are one of the best in west tn. but, during the jamboree we had several people out. we didn't have some of our key players at the game. if they had been there, who knows what would've happened.

i don't think you should judge a team because they have a foreign coach. your statement about that is very racist. also, that's not really cheating...you see that all the time in games...its just part of the game. sure, its cheap but not cheating. its part of the game that you have to deal with.

i play for lexington...i wasn't there and we had about 4 or 5 others out. I heard that if we had been there we prolly could have beaten madison....but who knows until we play em. but those other scores are pretty impressive from my judgements on the other teams. but i haven't seen either team play this year.

what teams looked strong this year? i realize that some teams didn't have everyone there and some were able to play some players that aren't going to be eligible to play during the regular season. but other than that who looks strong?

i have 2 things to say about this post. the basketball shorts these days already come below the knees so i don't understand where you're getting "daisy dukes" from. second, just because someone states their own opinion doesn't make this an "unfree" country. i didn't know that living in a free country was all about people not saying "you need to pull your shorts up." if that was the case, then freedom would be pointless.

you have to remember...we played in that same weather and on the same pitch...and that's the first time we've ever played on that pitch as well...it was there for the girls during their season. so that's no excuse. and you say that you weren't impressed with our team...that's cuz we're not very good. you guys didn't even touch the ball inside the 18, and hardly on the other side of the pitch.

i dunno how to compare to last year but we scrimmaged em last tuesday and they were horrible. its fun though.

Well you may be, but the rest of the rednecks and hoes may not. Any ways I'd hope you guys would stay. Your team is awesome they really are, I just can't stand the crowd. It's buckets of fun and excitement to watch Lexington play, but the fans snobby attitude drowns excitement out. I don't want Lexington to lose, I just want their fan section to stop being so arrogant. Are you schizophrenic or something. First you call us names which is really childish then you apologize to one of our fans. Also, whoever said that they didn't want to get kicked off coacht so they weren't going to repeat our cheers...every time i have been to a game none of the cheers have been vulgar. So, what are you talking about? Another thing, I personally think that everyone should just let their team prove itself on the court instead of getting on here and talking up their team...that goes for my team too. It just gets annoying.
