Cassie Bollin drove in the winning run in the bottom of the 10th for Hume-Fogg in their tournament game against Franklin Road tonight. Final score 3-2. HFA advances to the tournament finals, scheduled for Saturday at Trevecca.

I can not say that I disagree with any of these teams making it. Is there anyway that any team can beat St. Benendict?
-
Who are the teams in each division (A, AA, AAA) do we think will make it to the State Tournament?
I think we all agree that in AAA that Riverdale will be there!!

I was told by Sam's father that someone at the Waverly tournament slid into sam or something like that. she has tenditius. He also said that she could have played last night but didnt want to take a chance since winning or losing would not have made a difference where they place in the district.
Good Game Red Hawks keep up the hard work.

I don't know that you can say we are peaking early. Creek Wood has played a lot of games already this season 15 or 16 so far. We struggled early and now things are starting to fall into place. Coach Jackson needed to watch her team a few games in the beginning and has changed her line up to give us the best chance to score. It is starting to pay off. I am not saying that we will not struggle again because chances are that we will, but to say we are peaking early is a stretch.
GOOD JOB THIS WEEK CW! KEEP IT UP

As the person who started this I agree with bam24. This topic has went from who is the team to beat in 10AA to other districts. We are so far off from where we started. It is clear that some emotions and maybe some feelings have been hurt by what has been said here, but lets keep it all in proper prospective and play it out on the field. I think what I have heard here is the following.
1. Creek Wood is the team to beat. (I agree)
2. Waverly is a contender because of good coaching. (I agree)
3. Stewert Co is a contender because of good pitching. (I agree)
4. Creek Wood has several homerun threats. (I agree)
5. Good players make a coach look good. (I agree)
6. Good coaches make a good player look great. (I agree)
Now that all of that is clear lets get back to the topic. How will district "10AA" look at the end of the season. My prediction is this.
Creek Wood
Waverly
Harpeth
Stewert
Sycamore
Mont. Central
Cheatham Co

I am very happy that I started this topic. It has got some good feed back and a little trash talking going. I love it. I believe Shutupandplay is winning the arguement however.
Now for my two cents worth: I think there are going to be several teams in the district that have a chance. But who can say that Creek Wood isn't the team to beat? the first year the school was in the district that took second place the second year they took first, the starters are back again and they did make it to the state as a second year school.
I am a CW fan and have seen most of the games so let me tell you about them.
They do not fold under pressure, if anything they fall when there is no pressure. CW has proven that when the pressure is on they are on. They find a way to win the big games. They have been known for letting thier gaurd down from time to time and letting teams sneak up on them but when it is a game of importance they find the way to score the big run. I know Coach Jackson is working with them to play every game as if it were the last game of the season. She will have them prepared and CW will be stronger this year than ever before.
Congrats to Stewert Co for the ability to play with what I think is the best team in the district, that is something to be proud of I continue to hope that Lacy and "her" team continue to do good things but to put them over CW is not realistic. Yes Stewert beat CW but lost to Harpeth and Waverly CW beat both of these teams. CW plays Stewert Co the first time this year on April 12th, 5:30 pm @ CW. I believe that anyone who has doubts about the WOOD should be at that game.
-
Katy Murphy (SS) and Autumn Sensang (2nd) Creek Wood work very well together. they talk to each other during the play and have really came up with some big plays to help the team.
-
Marshall Co. is a good team, and I believe they are one of the underestimated teams, just like Walker Valley. Walker Valley should be a strong team: gaining new freshmen, and not losing any seniors. Plus I hear that they have a tough schedule, including some of the state's top competitors. This should help prepare them for their road to State tournament!
Creek Wood in Dickson Co also has a good team. They only lost one starter from last year and all key positions are back in play for them this year. Last year they made it to the state tournament as a second year school. AA should be very competitive this year.
-
it really sounds like a lot of people have a lot of different thoughts about this district. that is good that so many teams have a chance. There should be some good games to watch here. But I think the at the end of it all it will lay out like this.
Creek Wood (returning a lot of starters, still have same pitcher, good coach)
Waverly (lost a lot of players, but still are very well coached and have talent)
Harpethe (Hits well and pitching good, crafty coach)
Stewert Co (lives on the pitcher, if she is up for the season they will do good if not they will struggle)
Mont. Cent. (seems to always surprise people and can win any given night)
Sycamore (has good basketball team, and may do better than expected in softball)
Cheatham (don't put a lot into softball program, better luck next year)
the only thing that may change from that would be Mont. Cent. and Stewert Co changing spots.
Good luck to all the teams.

Which team in 10 AA has improved from last year? Who is the team to beat? Who are some of the players to watch?
-
District 10 AA is going to be strong this year no doubt. I see that as many as 4 teams have a chance to come out on top. I do think that the money has to be on Creek Wood for the number 1 team in the district. I say that because of what they done last year as a first year program and only losing 2 players. The lost of those 2 players is huge. They do have some freshmen coming in that will help ease the lost but then you have to look at the freshmen and the inexperience they have. Still I believe the district will unfold like this.
1. Creek Word
2. Waverly
3. Stewart Co
4. Mont Cent.
5. Sycamore
The last 2 spots is a toss up. This is just a pre-season prediction on my part. I think it will be a very competitive district and good luck to everyone.
-
I know that a lot of talent was lost last year from many high schools. Which means that there is a lot of re-building going on this year. Who are some of the schools that have some good young players, that we can watch grow into a contender with in the next few years?
-
I think it has died now no post since dec 2nd until me.

coachrop does do a great job calling the games. As someone who tries to make all of the games but with my work sometimes I am not able to make it for the entire game it is great to have someone calling the game that keeps you informed as to what is happening and gives a score update often. Again thank you coachrop for a great job.
Now on a sad note: Creek Wood girls have fallen off a bit in the last few games. Any idea's as to why? Is it just being a young team or is there something else going on? I sure hope they over come this and I believe in time they will. Big game on Friday night when Creek Wood goes to Dickson.
