That was honestly his intention, he didn't really expect you to leave. The verbal joust that goes amongst you and your Sequoyah comrads and the DL is understood.

What is the deal with Farragut, Maryville & Bearden? Those schools are large enough and have the financial resources to compete with any team in Tennessee but I never see them doing much of anything. Yes they have a few good individuals but their teams are on the bottom and they don't seem to be getting beter. Are their schools adminstration not supporting them or is it coaching and offseason training that they are lacking?

 

I think maryville is having a problem taking the team to the next level not because of finances or coaching, but becuase now its so tough to get the athletes off the football field and onto the wrestling mat. Football at maryville is basically a year round sport and the team is VERY successful so upcoming freshmen are going to chose football over wrestling pretty much every time.

Probably Because Burns has wrestled 140 all year and done good and placed much higher at the bradley tournament. and McCrosky is having a great year and he might have already beat him i dont know though.

I promise you none of the wrestlers on maryville chickened out. Hendricks has struggled with injuries in the past and through the season so he wasnt going to wrestle. Ridenour was ready to go as well, and coach just wanted him to be ready for tomorrow in the match we could actually win. Shields wouldnt have backed down either but coach felt the same way towards him as he did ridenour. This wasnt a "pansy" act or whatever you want to call it. Coach was just looking further into the tournament and looking out for the health of his wrestlers. Landon hall went out there and fought his butt off he tried a desperation throw at the end when he was trailing by one. Just let these boys prove themselves at state in two weeks... and i know they will.

maryville is heading to state beating WB 43-29 i think that was the score if not its close.

At 145 Shields PF, Shuler Seymour, Hendricks Maryville, and Blackford Alcoa will all be competeing at the regional tournament. also, all four are ranked in state according to bray and hamms rankings. How do you all see the outcome?

Bray dont listen to wrestler813 he has a problem with making ignorant statements. anyways i didnt see a change in 140. i thought pavlou of bradley beat winesburg and reynolds beat dowell. i guess u didnt receive the information. but thanks for the hard work. please keep doin what you do.

not exactly sure i think it was a 9 point victory. 11-2 possibly.

actually hall majored quick, and ridenour didnt wrestle the 125 he didnt bump up.

yeah osborn and mang were both there

Hall took first, shields took 3rd, and ridenour took 4th.

the legg and burns (WB) match should be close. their styles are really different so it could go either way.

yeah thats correct, but maryville wont wrestle WB then. theyre just our traveling partners we go to a lot of the same duals together.

maryville wrestled seymour at the eagle challenge and seymour beat us in the finals. we wrestle tullahoma and seymour again sometime soon in january and we also wrestle WB soon.
