I've seen Forrest play 3 times this year. I've also seen Wayne County, Summertown, Mt. Pleasant and Santa Fe play. These are the four teams that will represent 12A. I would pick any of those four over Forrest.

I saw on the news where the dugouts at Mt. Pleasant were destroyed by a tornado or something. Can they get them fixed in time for the season? Can they play home games if they aren't fixed in time?

They might win the district but their season will stop there. They will not advance out of the region.

First, I am not Tigerdad11. Fouls did play a major factor in the game. Having 2 starters sit for approx half the game is a major factor. I didn't say that the refs cheated. That is only hard on 1 team. How is that not correct? You cannot state that having committed only 1 foul is a burden on your team. My quotes never put down Wayne County's effort on the floor.

So you think it was the referees fault that the Tigers lost. Interesting. Read my posts carefully. I never said it was the referees fault. I just said the foul trouble really hurt MP and it hurt them more than it hurt WC.

You are right. That is hard on both teams. The fouls in the MP game was 7 on MP and 1 on WC. WC got their 2nd foul at the buzzer. Second half. MP got the first 6 fouls. WC had 1 foul until the final 10 seconds of the 3rd quarter. That is only hard on 1 team.

I know you shouldn't compare scores. But it looks like district 12A has the opportunity in the post season to make some noise. Between high school tournaments and March Madness, it just doesn't get any better.

I will try to answer this for you Coachholtz. Dennis had 14 points. J. Webster had 4 points and 4 fouls. He went to the bench with about 4 minutes to play in the second and sat out the rest of the half. He got two fouls early in the 3rd and stayed out until about midway through the 4th. It was the typical fouls called against him. What I thought really hurt the Tigers was the point guard Grandberry got 3 fouls in the first half and missed part of the 2nd quarter. He then got a foul early in the 3rd and sat out until about the 4 minute mark of the 4th. Like most single A schools, when your starting point guard and post player are in foul trouble, the chances of winning are slim. The Tigers couldn't get into the flow for most of the night. Fouls were the reason. I'm not accusing the refs of stealing the game. I just know that fouls played a major part in the game. WC played man to man for most of the game. They went to a zone at the end when MP had to shoot desperation shots to try to get back into the game. In reality it was over. Dennis ended up with 4 fouls too. He played hard but didn't have much help because of the foul trouble. MP was up 3 at the half 20-17. I think that Grandberry makes the team run. He handles the ball and dishes it off very well. Last night he just got to watch. His backup, I think his name is Sparkman, did a pretty good job. He just isn't as talented as Grandberry. I think I remember seeing the first half fouls at 1 time with MP-7, WC-1. In the second half the fouls were MP-6, WC-0. As for Franks outcoaching Boyd, you can call it what you want. I just thought that with the teams that were actually on the floor, WC was better. If all players can play the entire game, MP is better. I hope these two teams are able to make it through to the district finals. They have shown that they are the best teams during the season. A rematch would make for a great tournament ending. I wouldn't be surprised to see them play again in the region. It wasn't the best played game. Too many turnovers for both.

I didn't get to see his dunk. But why are you hating on Jemarcus. I've watched him play basketball and football for two years. He seams to be a class act all of the way. He probably has practiced jumping. That's part of the game isn't it.

He holds a clipboard better than anyone in district 12A. You watch the pure technique. I've never seen him drop it. It's like poetry in motion. Watching him is worth the price of admission.

First of all, I'm not hating. He is the best in the land. Secondly, I'm not a MPer. I have just seen them play more than anyone of the other teams this year. I don't live in MP.

Look man, I was just responding to your accusation that I only post when you do. I was pointing out the fact that you had posted after me. Don't be so sensitive. Chill dude. Why not get back on the topic? I did.

I don't know him any better than I know you. I do agree with him about district 12A. MP is the team to beat. After one trip through the district they are 9-0. Wayne County is 7-2. I don't know that they will go undefeated. I do think they will get the 1 seed for the tournament. They host the tournament too. That would definitely make them the team to beat. They are like everyone else at this level. They are 1 injury away from having a totally different season.

I guess it's okay to post on here since you were responding to my post. MP had a larger lead in the fourth. Some late desperation 3's narrowed the margin. MP was up 1 after 1, 12 at the half. It moved up above that but never closer than nine I think. MP starting playing some of the younger guys in the 3rd quarter. Starters pretty much played the 4th. THree players were in double figures for MP.
