I wasn't at the game, but looking at the box scores, what happened to all the Giles fans saying that they was going to shut Ricco down? To the wavo fans, where is he going to school at?

Obviously it doesnt matter if we shut Ricco down because if you look at that box score a little closer it says GILES 60-WAVERLY 49, and thats all that really matters

Waverly played a pretty good game, but Giles really didnt play all that great. Dont get me wrong Waverly is a good team but dont get too excited just because you didnt get trashed. Giles never underestimated Waverly at all, all week everyone was talking about how good of a team Waverly had. It was a good game and good luck to Waverly against Bolivar.

Lewis Co. from what i hear, played a decent game, but it turned out to be what everyone expected. Good luck to Lewis Co.

Giles will continue to be a good basketball program even after Tyler and Channing are gone, im not saying they will dominate like they have the past 4 years, but they have freshmen with plenty of talent. As for Coach Holt rubbing teams the wrong way, i mean honestly if your down by 40 does it really matter if Tyler and Channing are still in? Im not trying to start anything but who cares?

That's exactly who I was talking about! He heated up a few weeks ago, and Giles was winning by 20 and 30 points every night! If he can get hot again over the next few weeks then I see Giles staring down another ring. If he can't get it done, one of the younger players (Z Roberts or Tryce) is going to have to step their game up a notch for Giles to have a chance. Tyler can score 50 points a game, but if the next highest scorer is in single digits (which has been the case this season) it becomes pretty tough to win.  I guess we'll have to see who's going to step up this year.  Do we not seem to have the same "Who's going to step up?" conversation every year at this time?

Zach Holt, Tryce, Darin, and Z, have to step up in order for Giles to get to the state tournament. Tyler and Channing are great but 2 players cant win it all, especially against Bolivar, Raleigh Egypt, Liberty, and Haywood. And yes willy we do seem to have this conversation every year.

Yes we were down by 2 at the half, but mainly because Coach Holt put the second string in with 5 minutes left in the first quarter and the starters didnt get back in until the third quarter. Coach Holt, i assume, was trying to get the second string some playing time and experience before the tournaments start. After the starters were put back in, Marshall Co. managed to score about 10 points the rest of the game. Tryce Nelson (#32) was one of the main factors in this game, he showed his ability to shoot outside and also take control inside. I along with many others were impressed with his performance.

Page cant seem to grasp the fact that they got beat by 40 points Tuesday night. Then they start a topic about how the third time is gonna be different. The odds of Page beating us next time are like the odds i have of dunking on Tyler! You dont start a topic talking about how your gonna beat a team that just spanked you by 40 points! THINK BEFORE YOU TYPE!!!!!

Page has officially logged on to whine mode As if getting trashed Tuesday night wasnt enough. Page talked alot of trash but they ended up just getting absolutly demolished! As for your student section, all those people and so little cheering. But its hard to cheer when your getting clowned on. Tyler missed a few shots which is probably a good thing for Page because he probably would have had more points than the whole Page team.

NEWSFLASH:  Unless someone other than Tyler or Channing starts playing better, Giles County may not even make it to substate.  Tryce, Zach, Deron, Darin have to step it up.  It's obvious that Coach has lost faith in Zach Roberts, and sparringly uses Michael Hayes, so unless some players step it up they will get sent home early I am afraid.

Wow, you Page fans seem to be a little upset about something. It looks to me like the only thing the Page fans have to look for is the half time show. You seem to be thrilled with the fact that you came within 16 points of beating us, oh thats real close You seem to forget the fact we we were up by 30 at halftime, and the starters were out by the third quarter. You seem to think since you cant handle us on the court you should try to handle us in the parking lot, oh thats real mature of you. Channing Coffey, in my opinion, is a very underrated player. His game is awesome but his skills are often overlooked. He is alot of fun to watch and he deserves some recognition.

Tyler Smith's dunk over Brandon Wright is by far the sickest dunk ive seen this year. I get chills every time i watch the tape. The tape shows Tyler's dunk in real time and slow motion! Its nasty!

Yea your right, the refs did stink pretty bad last night, but when you look at it, there were shots that we should have made and shots we should have taken. When its all said and done the team with the most points wins. Yea the refs were bad, but the object of the game is to outscore your opponent. It just wasnt our night. GC Vs. Brentwood was as awesome as advertised and it was a pleasure to watch both these teams battle it out until the end. Yea i wish the refs would have just let them play, but theres nothing we can do about it now. Good job to both teams and i wish Brentwood the best of luck.

Thank you wneely for bringing a little bit of common sense to this topic. Ive come to the conclusion that catfish-hunter does nothing all day but sit at his house and think of things to hate on Tyler about. Who cares how many points Tyler had? GC beat Sycamore and thats all that matters.

Tyler Smith without a doubt, he has worked hard over the off-season to improve his outside shot and it shows. The "birdman" will be unstoppable this year!!
