  4. MOST FOOTBALL PLAYERS AND COACHES THINK THEY HAVE IT ALL FIGURED OUT. MOST FOOTBALL COACHES BELIEVE " HOW COULD ANYTHING OR ANY SPORT MAKE MY KIDS BETTER FOOTBALL PLAYERS, THAN MY WINTER WORKOUT PROGRAM". THEY WILL NOT LISTEN TO REASON, BECAUSE THEY KNOW IT ALL.

IT IS BEST TOO GET THE KIDS EARLY AND SHOW THEM HOW TO LOVE THIS GREAT SPORT. THEN THEY MIGHT PLAY FOOTBALL, ON THEIR TIME OFF, WAITING ON WRESTLING SEASON TO START.

  5. HALLS HIGH IN KNOXVILLE IS HAVING THEIR 3RD ANNUAL "ALUMNI WRESTLING MATCH" & "MEET THE TEAM" NIGHT ON FRIDAY (11-20-15). THE "LIVE ACTION" STARTS AT 6PM. "THE ANIMAL" WILL NOT WRESTLE THIS YEAR BECAUSE OF WARN OUT HIPS AND OLD AGE.

THIS IS A GREAT IDEA FOR YOUR TEAM. WE USUALLY HAVE 10-12 ALUMNI MATCHES AND ALSO HAVE THE LAST ROUND OF VARSITY WRESTLE-OFFS. THIS IS GREAT FOR TEAM BUILDING, FUND RAISING AND GETTING YOUR ALUMNI WRESTLERS INVOLVED IN YOUR PROGRAM.

I ALSO HAVE A LIST OF ALL FORMER HALLS HIGH WRESTLERS THAT I KEEP IN CONTACT WITH THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. THIS IS A GREAT WAY TO COMMUNICATE THE NEWS, WANTS AND NEEDS OF YOUR PROGRAM. I AM SURE MOST OF YOU HAVE RAN INTO YOUR FORMER WRESTLERS AND THEY TOLD YOU THEY WOULD COME AND WATCH SOME MATCHES IF THEY KNEW THEN THEY WERE. THE FORMER HALLS HIGH WRESTLERS DO NOT HAVE THAT EXCUSE.

  6. ALWAYS BE CAREFUL HOW YOU ASK OR ENCOURAGE YOUR KIDS TO WRESTLE. IF YOU ASK THEM POINT BLANK "DO YOU WANT TO WRESTLE?" THEY MIGHT GIVE YOU THE WRONG ANSWER. AND ONCE THEY HAVE SAID "NO" IT IS HARD TO CHANGE THEIR MIND. INSTEAD TALK ABOUT WHEN YOU ARE GOING TO "LET" THE START WRESTLING. TAKE THEM TO MATCHES AND TELL THEM HOW IT IS GOING TO HELP THEM THROUGHOUT THEIR LIFE. THIS WAY THE DECISION HAS ALREADY BEEN MADE.

WHY SHOULD YOU LET THEM DECIDE AT A YOUNG AGE WHAT SPORTS THEY SHOULD PLAY. THEY SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE DECISIONS LIKE THIS, THAT WILL EFFECT THE REST OF THEIR LIVES. YOU DON'T LET THEM CHOOSE WHAT THEY WILL EAT AND WHEN THEY WILL GO TO BED. I HAVE HAD A BUNCH OF PARENTS TELL ME " I ASKED HIM AND HE DON'T WANT TO DO IT." AFTER THAT, THE CASE IS CLOSED.
