  1. When Cait was a sophomore Heritage played in a prestigious Christmas tournament in Ohio. There were girls playing in this tournament who had already signed with Purdue, Ohio State, Stanford, Iowa State and other D1 schools. All of these girls were seniors and Cait was only a sophomore. At that tournament she broke the 3 game scoring record which had previously been held by Sue Bird. Seeing as how Sue Bird is currently in the WNBA I think that pretty much sums it all up on how talented Cait really is. As a sophomore she was breaking records not only in the state of TN but also in Ohio against girls who were fixing to go on and play D1 basketball. In three games she scored a total of 91 points. Cait is greatest ball player I've had the pleasure of knowing. She has class on and off the court.

  2. I completely understand that this is a message board and opinions are like toeholes..Everyone has them..I guess it doesn't matter how illiterate the person is. My point is that these are teenage girls with feelings and I think everyone should respect that. Seeing as how you can post any darn thing you want I believe I also have the right to POST MY OPINION. I have heard plenty of good things about AE and I'm not taking anything away from them. Like I said I was not at the game but I can read a newspaper and the end result was that Heritage DID IN FACT WIN so you obviously need to move on past this yourself. Hillary Tipton and the rest of the squad obviously did everything in their power to come out with a W inspite of missing McMahan. Of course Heritage depends on Cait but they also have a well rounded group of players. Just because they are not D1 caliber like Cait does not mean they do not have talent. To play competitive highschool ball you have to have talent. As far as being nationally ranked why don't you call up USA TODAY and tell them they aren't doing their job right. While you're at it you can call Pat Summitt as well and tell her what you think of her future ball player.

  3. Some of you all might not understand that these are highschool girls you are talking about and I'm pretty sure they read what EVERYONE is writing about them. If you do not have something positive to say then I believe it shouldn't be said. You don't know what some of these girls go through or about their life outside of basketball so you should not sit here and judge. I'm sure most of you are grown adults with daughters playing the game and you are just bitter. Don't say that Cait has torn her ACL when there is not any physical evidence of an MRI yet. That kid will be devastated if she has to miss her senior season and if she's not able to take her to team to the boro. She is the most talented young lady and has the biggest heart I have ever seen. She deserves to wear the Lady Vol uniform and she does understand completely there are aspects of her game that she needs to work on. Having not been at the game I cannot comment on what happened but I have heard many good things about the AE team. Good luck to both teams and I pray that everything is alright with Ms. McMahan.

  4. Has anyone seen Stewart play this year? She has dominated since her freshman year in the post and has been a top player but I definitely wouldn't consider her to be one of the top players this season. She has gotten a lot slower and isn't in that good of shape. I saw her play recently against Heritage and she didn't impress me at all. I'm sure there are better candidates than her out there for Miss Basketball. Someone who works hard in the off season as well as the season. You can't let yourself go when you're a ball player.

  5. I do believe the Heritage girls will finally make it to the boro this season. With the determination of Cait and the rest of the girls behind her I don't see a team that can stop them. The perimeter for Heritage has always been good while the inside game has always struggled. Hearon has definitely stepped up her game and is a leader amongst the posts. Newman and Talbott have also been contributing recently and should do well their senior season.

    GOOD LUCK LADY MOUNTAINEERS!

  6. Gotta give props to my girl Cait..I have never met a player quite like Cait..Yeah so she is gonna be a Lady Vol? It's a big deal but she is an awesome basketball player. She did lead a team with 6 seniors and she did it gracefully. She was young and yet still took responsibility in what she had to do. She works hard day in and day out. She has an awesome work ethic and she never gives up. She deserved miss basketball last year but she was just a sophomore. She is one of the best point guards in the nation and I'm sure many will back me up on that. I've never played or seen anyone with her ability at her age. She is a teenager so don't sit here and say she'll only get the award because she's going to be a Lady Vol. Girls don't need to read that about themselves. If she wins the award then she has earned it more than one time around.

  7. Sorry we couldn't get you to state but yes she is amazing..On and off the court..She has taught me so much. I wish her the best luck in the world and I hope she goes to Ut..But she's young so she can enjoy her highschool years. You deserve so much success! Keep striving for al you want and I truly believe you can break any record you want!

  8. Karns has a very talented team. Earlier in the season the game went in to overtime and Karns should have won but somehow Heritage found a way to win. Tonight Heritage came out playing like the real Lady Mountaineers. Good defense and rebounding put the game away. Don't count Heritage out. They do stand a chance with Oak Ridge. If they can play their game and rebound then it should be a good game. Heritage beat them earlier in the year by 5 so it should be interesting
