  1. QUOTE(CHS 2007 @ Jan 30 2007 - 09:53 PM) 826352391[/snapback]

    FINAL IN OVERTIME

    CENTENNIAL 81

    HILLSBORO 75

Started off a relatively close game. Hillsboro got on a short run, but Centennial answered with a run of their own. It went back and forth like this through most of the first half, with Centennial holding a slight advantage at the end of the second. The Cougars took control of the 3rd, getting on a big run and ending the quarter with a 13 point lead. But as with any Centennial lead, you know the other team is gonna mount a comeback. The Burros started to mount a few quick plays and cut the lead to 4. Centennial answered at the other end, but Hillsboro came back with a 7-0 run and took the lead. Ty Jones was fouled with a minute left and after making his first, the second bounced right into Drew's hands, who gave the team a two point advantage. Hillsboro was fouled at the other end, but Travaris Phillips missed his first, which gave CHS a 1 point lead. Lamont answered at the other end with two quick free-throws, and with 5 seconds left, it looks like Centennial had it in the bag. But Tony Whitlow was able to speed down the court and instead of forcing the shot, he dishes it out to a wide-open Ryan Westbrook, who sunk the three as time expired.

OVERTIME: The Cougars started off strong, with good defense at one end and timely scoring at the other. Hillsboro kept it close, but a late basket by Kelly and two clutch free-throws by Allante kept this one just out of reach for the Burros, and the Cougars picked up the big win at home. Centennial improves to 18-6, 8-4 in the district. While Hillsboro drops to 13-11, 8-6 in the district.

    CENTENNIAL 81

    Drew Kelly: 30 pts

    Lamont Harris: 23 pts

    Allante McLemore: 21 pts

    Ty Jones: 2 pts

    Patrick Byrd: 2 pts

    Preston Stroop: 2 pts

    Chaz Scales: 1 pt

    HILLSBORO 75

    Ryan Westbrook: 22 pts

    Travaris Phillips: 14 pts

    Dontez Simpson: 13 pts

    Erik Trent: 13 pts

    Darrell Miller: 8 pts

    Tony Whitlow: 3 pts

    Jaymes Mooney: 2 pts

Centennial's Mark McFarland did not play due to violation of school policy. Hillsboro's Steve Parker also missed this game due to injury.

this is all wrong. travaris phillips past the ball to ryan at the end, and neither Jaymes Mooney nor Darrell Miller played. Both are hurt with Darrell being done for the year. Get your facts straight. Also travaris missed his second free throw not his 1st.

  2. I believe some players to watch for from the mid-state are:

Ballerz: Kevin Smith #25, Ryan Westbrooks #61, Matt Smigelski #75, Shawn Merriweather #76, Josh Lipscomp #100

Celtics: Gerald Robinson #6, Jamie Graham #8, Josh Slater #14, Scott Saunders #16, Rashard Mason #27, Codye Hatcher #36, Cameron Jordan #39, Lamont Harris #73,

  3. Jamesen Henderson is no where near the #1 point guard in Nashville he's not even in the top 10 point guards in Nashville. He can't compete with guys like-

    1. Jeremiah Crutcher Hunters Lane

    2. Gerald Robinson Martin Luther King

    3. Jamie Graham Whites Creek

    4. Deon Gaines MBA

    5. Josh Slater Lipscomb

    6. Cameron Jordan Hillsboro

    7. Jamal Morris East Lit.

    8. Wil Peters Whites Creek

    9. Cory Stewart Father Ryan

    10. Nivan Khalifa Antioch

  5. gomab

Im sure your busy but do you think you will still get the rankings out by the 15!? Just to give everyone something to look foward to! just wondering too what did you think of beau brown over the summer and what do you think he will do this season?? Will anyone big offer him a scholarship?

this has nothing to do with your quote sorry!! just so you could see it!!

i to wonder if you'll have your rankings out by the 15th. there hasn't been much change on your website.

  6. Any good players whose teams didn't make it to the state tournament or those who didn't play AAU this year a new team will be starting including several players from past state championship teams. This team will be 16u so all of you 15 year olds who want to play call (615) 498-8746.Please be prepared to give your name, age, height and position when you call. We would like players with High School experience.Them team is for next year but we want to start getting things together early.

  7. Does anybody know about team Tennessee 15u. I heard they were good but I haven't seen anything about them on here. Please let me know who they have and if they are good. Also if any 15 under coaches still have space on their team let me know.I'll play in nashville,or clarksville.I live in Nashville and would like to play for a team near this area. Once again if you have any information please, please let me know.

  8. Who plays for the Tennessee Thunder. They didn't even make it to the state tournament last year. You can't compare them with Nike or the Nashville Jags. Someone tell me who they have that are supposed to be good. But I beleive that the results will be the same as last year with Nike on top, the Memphis Magic who have the best Freshmen in the state Maurice Miller in second, and the Royals/Jags third. The Tennessee Thunder will be lucky to stay within' thirty points of these teams.

  9. Shotblocker,

The word is John Garrett will be playing for Don Woods (The Royals). I have also talked with the Tennessee Traveler Coach who have Tony White, who was a big part of Nike Select last year, who led in scoring an assists. Brian Wright have been trying out for two other 15 and under AAU team.

Who gave you this info I knw for a fact that Tony White did not lead them in scoring and assists , he didn't even start.
