1. No...It is not the same situation...Manassas, Humboldt, and Lake County were all ranked in the top 10. If you think that ranking doesn't make a difference, well just look at the championship game. Humboldt's only loss was to Manassas. Lake County's only losses were to #1 Humboldt and #2 Manassas. Manassas won th gold ball. There toughest game by far was the Humboldt game. I agree with the previous post that said that Temple was the 4th best team in the tournament. The championship game proved that. I just feel like #1 and #2 should be on separate sides of the bracket so that the 2nd best team will walk away with a silver ball. If Temple think they disserve a silver ball then they should've beaten the #2 team to prove it....

your right, since we choose not to play humbolt we should schedule a game to play them...or maybe not...life isnt fair so manassas is number 1 and Temple is number 2. Humbolt lost first game in the first round so i guess that would make them number 8. Congratulations on your win Manassas.

  2. Ben Mont...he is really stepping up his game this year i really think he can be a division 1 prospect if he works on his moves around the rim....But he has a really consistent jumper so he really does not post up much but he really is a beast....

  3. Temple was up 30 on Howard until they put their subs in. They beat Central in a scrimmage by over 40. After being down fifteen at the half, they came back, but lost 96-92 to Walker Valley. They played the whole second half minus three minutes without their star, Jeremy Sexton, who got his fourth foul and then a technical. Also their coach was kicked out of the game at the end of the third quarter, and one of their starters is out till January with a broken wrist

Does Temple have what it takes to be considered the best team in Chattanooga?

Will they win state in single a?

  4. QUOTE(foreveranole @ Mar 6 2007 - 07:34 PM) 826402670We have a ballteam that has a huge heart as a team. We Have a great duo of coaches . We have slowed down some run and gun offenses. We also have got beat by fast paced and slow, play running offenses also. We have good senior leadership. If we rebound wel we can play with some good teams . We had Temple down by at least 12 points @ Unaka tournament , but we went cold ,cold in the fourth. We didnt win though and thats what matters. We can shoot the trey pretty good , and we have some gig men inside also. If we can get rid the butterflies early I think we will be OK . Now what about your team ?

I was at that game and that's just not true, They were never up 12 points! But Temple did play like crap

  5. QUOTE(Possumtowner @ Mar 7 2007 - 08:50 AM) 826403220While this feller whut writes this article says some true things, there are also some things that go unsaid.

1st, on the elbow play. There was a foul called on the visiting player. And it was a good call. Tough break but thats the way this game goes. To say there wasnt a foul is not right.

He talks about the fouls being even. They were. What he fails to mention is the fact there were ZERO fouls called early in that game. No fouls at all in the first quarter and it was a physical game. That is where control was lost.

Perhaps if he was a good official, he could recognize this and point this out to his readers. That was the sad part to me.

Good luck to Temple. Too bad our game had to get this kind of pub.

the refs were very good , they did not call tic-tac stuff, and those are the good kind of refs. The game didn't get out of control either, one player did. (which wasn't that big a deal)

  6. QUOTE(tk20football @ Mar 6 2007 - 12:51 PM) 826402161Josh, I do not know if Pasture is who you think he is, but you have worked to hard to get on here and worry about what everybody else is saying. You are a good kid so don't continue to lower yourself to the standards of some. You are angry with Temple and that is fine, just don't make yourself look bad. Good luck at State and good luck in football next season. What is the school you are going to?

Yeah FAT RANDY, come on, u know better than that!!

  7. QUOTE(NOT PRETENTIOUS @ Feb 21 2007 - 03:08 PM) 826383060Seth is a great player and he is a better high school player than Carter, but Carter would be and will be a better college player than Seth that is why Kentucky and others like Kentucky are recruting him and not Seth. The college coaches like Tubby Smith and others know more about this than you. They don't see Carter being a star in college but a good roe player and to be recruited by the likes of Kentucky is a bigger deal than Seth going to Furman and I don't want to take away from Seths accomplisments because you have to be really good to even play a Furman and Seth has been a good high school player in both football and basketball. I say all of this because it seems you don't want to acknowledge Carters accomplishments and the fact that he is being recruited by such prestigious basketball schools like Kentucky

Seth is going to college on a football scholarship, not basketball(which i'm assuming u know)

so it doesn't really make sense to compare their college careers.

  8. I was really trying not to ruffle anyone's feathers but I am going to just say what I think. The administration is the reason for the problems at Tennessee Temple. Did you ever hear about any of these problems when the previous principal and athletic director were there? No you didn't because everything was done the right way. The school was very fortunate to have had Steve Beard and Kevin Skogen and they did a great job and deserve to be able to do whatever is best for their families. They were honest and upfront with the administration from the beginning of the year about there future as football coaches. This entire saga can be traced to one person and one person only and that is Rob Eldridge. He tried to get Kevin Skogen fired right before the South Pittsburg game this year. Are you serious? But he was the first one to be around when the media was there to cover our football team. He came in and "sopped" up all of the glory of this football team. But the people who have been here and actually understand this situation realize that this football team will be remembered as one of the greatest things to ever happen to Tennessee Temple Academy. It will be the best football team the school has had or ever will have. I give it two years and its over, and that is due to the fact that the administration has no clue on how to run a "real" football program. They want and expect to win, but they don't do anything to make sure the program has the things it needs to achieve this.

    AMEN

  9. 149, Actually, I was enjoying the fact that you weren't on here. The only thing you ever do is attack people with your vulgar and profane ignorance. Do you actually impress yourself and feel better with all the childishness? There is absolutely no way you could be associated with the school and continue to spew venom the way you do.

You are a hateful jerk and I have reported you to the moderator. I do not have a problem with differences of opinions or perspectives but I am weary of the persoal insults and attacks. Almost every time you post it is to insult, degrade, or berate someone. I am sure that everyone else on here is tired of it, also. It seems like you may need to look for another board where that kind of junk is tolerated.

I am willing to bet that you do not have many friends, do you?

i think 149 is actually funny,

you on the other hand, are a little baby

if u can get past 149's questionable yet humorous insults, what he is saying is actually true

  10. I think he is insinuating that "Pasture" (me) is Rob Eldridge. Nothing could be farther from the truth. I do not know Rob Eldridge that well but I am fairly certain that we are nothing alike.

It is really nothing more than a cheap and ignorant slam. Really, it is more like shooting an arrow in the darkness hoping it hits something.

Besides, Rob Eldridge logs on to Coacht with his own name.

I think that Pasture is Rob Eldridge. Its ironic that after all the accusations of pasture being Rob Eldridge, that Rob waits til' now to make his own name...Confusing...And, yes, it was inappropriate to announce the new head coach...the banquet was for THIS year's team...not next year's. To do that totally took away from what was accomplished this year...And another thing, if Pasture is not Rob Eldridge, then why is pasture defending Temple so hard in this area...It would make sense why Rob Eldridge would...he works there...Pasture does not...its just a little confusing

  11. If Joey doesn't return next year what else can you call it. You might white wash it by saying that he is just trying to better himself, but the truth is that the football team next year is in trouble and he and his dad doesn't want him to play in that kind of situation. I understand why they would want to move he is a good player who could put up some good numbers if surrounded by other talent and that could create other opportunities for him, but for the players on the team next year who are counting on him he won't be there, so just call it what it is and don't try to defend it and thats ok.

    [/quote/]

I know the skogens and i can tell you that the reason they are leaving is not because they are afraid to lose( i mean look at their program when they first started, they stunk)

It is honestly unsafe for joey to run the ball behind that line they will have next year if you could see the team they will be playing with next year you would agree with me 100%. he would be out with an injury 2 to 3 games into the season.

and, i bet that the reason he's leaving is not just for sports, Mccallie has the best education in the city, and i'm sure thats's what his parents want for him.

also he is very good friends with Seth Wadley, and seth really likes it over there.

  12. It has nothing to do with that, there are more players on the team than Temple's starting 5. This isn't a good way for the new coach to start off as other coach's will remember this! This tournament was booked a year in advance and Temple could very well have played. Every other school in the state is playing their games Temple just didn't want to get embarrassed and thats the bottom line. It has nothing to do with trying to make your "team" better its all about playing his starters in this case, otherwise why would you cancel when you're not even playing football anymore? :thumb:

u have no idea what you're talking about, temple had to cancel to give them a chance to find a new team to enter the tourny, because if they won in the quarterfnals they would have had to cancel on too short of notice for them to find a new team to play in temple's place.

and i'm so sure that temple is scared to play someone... that statement is just dumb!!!
