MONDAY, DEC. 15 -- Jerry Joslin has resigned at Pope John Paull II to take the job as head football coach at Goodpasture. He will be leaving JPII at Christmas.

JPII has promoted offensive coordinator Justin Geisinger to be its head football coach, effective January 1, 2015.

Monica Braswell -- former head coach at Macon County and a native of Gordonsville. Was already in the Sumner County system, teaching at Portland.

CONFIRMED -- Mark Purvis has returned as HC at Mt. Juliet.

Decision will be announced Friday, July 11.

Eric Vetetoe has resigned at Trousdale County High to take the job at Lebanon. He's 27 and played for Woody Hunt at Cumberland during the 2010 National Championship season.

Tony's son Seth Long was recently named the new head coach at White House. Mark Mills stepped down as HC to take an assistant principal / AD position at Station Camp.

Mt. Juliet High position is open. Jim Carter resigned to take the Goodpasture job.

Mt. Juliet and Brentwood High has been moved to 7 pm Saturday

The FCS - Marion County game has been moved to Lookout Valley. First pitch at 4:30 pm Central.

Westmoreland will scrimmage at Lebanon High Friday, May 17 at 6 pm. Scrimmage will be at the new LHS campus / Tribble Field off Hartman Drive.

Friendship Christian vs. Marion County will be played at 2 pm. As a back-up plan, FCS has tarped Cumberland University's Stockton Field. No tarp at FCS.

MONDAY AT BEECH:

Lebanon over Portland 17-6 in six innings. Wilson Central vs. Beech never started due to rain. That game will be played Tuesday at 4 p.m. with the loser playing Lebanon at 7 pm.

Wilson Central 7, Mt. Juliet 6 as Kyle Hubbuch hits a walk-off HR for the Wildcats; Station Camp over Lebanon 8-5.

Friendship Christian's Stefan Remus threw a complete game 5-hitter Friday in a 9-0 win at Lebanon. He struck out 11 with no walks. Catcher Jay Pittman had two hits for LHS.

Lebanon's pitcher Hulse threw a three hitter, and LHS had 9 or 10 hits. LHS vs. Lipscomb has been moved to 2 pm today (Friday) at Lebanon.
