  1. Our school has played both teams and I knew that Cornersville bats would be lethal, against almost any pitching! We held them down for a few innings and then it is like the earlier person said "ka pow". Personnally, I knew Summertown would not know what hit them! Great pitching, great hitting (all thru the line up) and good defense. Sounds like a spot in Murfreesoboro to me. I bet to say they'll give FCA a run......

Don't crow to much......other people are may have you in their sites! Good teams don't need tell people that they are good. Lawrence County beat you two out of three times and Summertown beat Lawrence County so there is not that much of a difference.

  6. So far I have only missed the Smith County and Watertown game! I picked the upset of Summertown over Lawrence County today again sorry about losing but I only pick the losers sounds like that Cascade did play a very good game! Remember there is always next time plus this game will help you for district! /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

Summertown winning against Lawrenceburg is hardly an upset. Summertown has probably won 16 out of the last 20 games they have played! Just because a single A team plays a AAA they shouldn't be the underdog.

  7. They do have a team this year but they will not have many upper class players.....I've seen them on several of the other team schedules. Check out 11-A and 12-A team schedules ~~~

GREAT WEATHER for a Lady Lions playday !!!!

  11. Something is not right about all of this??

Just curious, where did you get your information?

    Thanks.

This message thread is about Coach Wyrick and the great job that he has done over the last 27 years at Summertown. Team honors are much more important than individual honors. If the players at Wayne County would worry more about improving their game and being a team instead of individual honors they could have had the same great seasons that Collinwood (27-12) and Summertown (30-12) had! Your coaches seem to have the desire to work hard and improve your program.....get on the same page with them. :thumb:

  12. i totally agree many girls were left off. i really do think politics is starting to get into this. anyways, congrats to the ladies on there... i think most of yall deserved it, but there are some iffy ones...

Maybe the girls that you are thinking about were not nominated. If their name was not on the list, they were not considered.

  13. How is forest doing this year? are they not as strong as they have been in years past, i see were cascade beat them, and i also know that FCS beat them pretty bad, i thank it was 6to1l, what about summertown, i saw them play in franklin, they looked week to me,is there not a power house in A this year, CA i hear is pretty strong, i have no seen them play, What about east roberson? don't know any thing about them, this could be a fun year for a run at state.

Another of your comments also seems to be in error saying that Summertown looked weak. They won 26 games this year while playing some of the best teams in both Tennessee and Alabama. Check out their schedule. They went 4-2 against six AAA teams in the Border Battle and outscored the other teams in their district 138 to 5. They are ready to make a run for the title.
