How did the Westview/Dresden scrimmage turn out?

It was a joke and you all know it. After all everyone knows who the front runners are in 13AA. I mean with two and I quote "two division one signees" and a great Coach you would think that this would be Westview's year. The only thing left to do is play the games...

As wescharge has been so eager to remind; over confidence makes for an upsetting season's end...I know from personal experience.

Is the reason you guys always say "get up View" because someone has just finished knocking you down...Just curious..

I know in West Tennessee any time you have Chuck Patton calling your game you know it will be done right.

For the most part officials in our area do a good job considering all the garbage they have to listen too night in and night out.

Have you ever wondered why Dyer County is never supposed to beat Dyersburg in girls basketball? Our girls love reading that people don't give them much of a chance. It's always more fun winning games that you're not supposed to win...I'll be the first to admit that I have put the negativity towards Dyersburg away. I'm their biggest fan unless they are on the other bench...Go Trojans as well as Choctaws...Good luck to both.

Did Gibson's girls play in the jamboree? If so how did they look?

Just kidding. I have grown up alot this year. Being a father has helped me realize what is really important. I don't take anything personally anymore.

Good luck to the Burg I know you guys will be much improved from last season. The Dyer County/Dyersburg boys game just might be as close as the girls games always are.

Yes Tony Jones is their father. Only one son and he does play basketball. The other is the daughter and neither have transferred so it probably is a mute point to discuss it at this point. As for Byrd he definately has improved as a player and will be a big asset this year.

Dresden has a really strong post game. They are well coached and very organized. If they can knock down open shots they will be extremely tough. I think they shot about 60% against us. From what I gather they are very young, only having one Senior.

As for yoda he really means well. I coached him in cross country. He is a great kid who just takes his basketball a little too personally. Kinda sounds like me last year, as wescharge pushed all my buttons. The fans that did the throat slit stuff last year are by no means a majority. We do have a great fan base which was seen by the support our football team received this past season.

How has Martin done in their scrimmage games so far...I heard where Gibson beat Dyersburg by about ten. I was told that Baird picked up three early fouls and Russell played without her most of the game and they still beat them soundly.

You really enjoy getting people worked up don't you. I'm not about that this year. I'm working on humility and coaching respectably. I have a daughter now and the only real thing that is important to me other than God is making her proud...

Dyer County beat Northside by ten in a scrimmage about a week ago. Both are talented. It could go either way...

mg I think I read on here somewhere that you were talking about gambling on high school athletics. Being the christian man that you are that was a shocker to me.

Do you think that you and yoda could go at each other any harder? I think it has gotten personal. For real though give me the scoop on Morris and what you've heard. I helped Coach the boys his junior year before moving over to the girls last season. I love Jon and from what he has told me...He walked on this year and is going to red shirt. I don't think he would lie to me, but I could be wrong.

I like when nobody expects us to do anything...It takes off all the pressure and opens the door for huge upsets...I appreciate the vote of confidence...

Season is getting close...I can taste it...13AA should be better than ever...Obion is going to surprise some people and you know that Crockett will be tough...Add them to two state elite teams in Gibson and Westview(Gibson having the slight edge) and throw in the underdog Lady Choctaws!!!!!Look out, its going to be awesome...Good luck to each school...I can't wait for all of you to come see the palace that we get to play in...I only hope we play as good as our school looks...

Crittendon and Fisk are both serious DI players both will more than likely be first team all staters. At least they should be...

I don't know why you would compare Allen and Harris. They are not even in the same class. Allen is way better.
