Nick,
Don't you dare let the words of the most selfish adult I've ever known bother you. (In case you're confused I'm not talking about MC-Dad.) I know what he said to you after the Tellico game. He should resign every position he has after saying that to you. You give your all and anyone who knows anything knows it. He's a no class bum and don't you let him bring you down.
We didn't play well as a team. Marion didn't play that well either but they got it done when it counted. We've got things to clean up. We've got to quit dropping passes so we can open up our offense. You can't throw and catch too. Everyone has to pull together, fix the problems and get it done.
But don't you dare let Colquette bring you down. If he had one ounce of class he'd keep his mouth shut. But that's not going to happen anytime soon. You're a great player my friend. Don't let a jerk bring you down.
DL.
Who wants to bet that DL isn't the President of the Ken Colquette Fan Club!!! Now tell us how you REALLY feel...llol
Great post as always!!

Jeeze, you again? You know you are full of class let me tell ya. You really support your alma mater very well and to get on here behind a name and not say this stuff at meetings, tell the coach how you feel to his face/over the phone/email anything like that, or basically run down your whole school, the school system and the boys that work so hard (something you or your son couldn't do, depending on who you are) is just gutless and classless. Everyone pay attention, gobblersknob is a true, bonified example of maturity.
He, he, he,he...I just love to get your goat, bball 24 7.

That is just typical for THAT coach to act THAT way..been going on for a year or longer and no one has done anything to dimish the little man syndrome.

Where is all that South Pittsburg hoop-laa since they lost to Marion County on Friday???
-
Take an early lead aganist SP and they will fold like a house of cards everytime. Robinson should be showing his skills, his dad played college ball back in the 80's and was one of the great, maybe the only great, basketball player to come from Bridgeport.

The problem is TSSAA. The area supervisors watch this crap go on and do nothing about it. At a ballgame the only person who is not responsible for their actions is the ref. Sending tapes does no good, blackballing a ref from your game only makes them mad and you will still get them in district play.
We put on AAU tournaments in our area for our school and we have refs that we like using because we want them to let the teams play but keep it under control because most of our tournaments are playdays, getting the teams ready for substate and state. We won't let this one ref call beause he is a real jerk during regular season, so he always fouls my daughter out. Most of the time he calls all 5 fouls even when she is running point bring the ball down court against a press he will call a charge when the girl is running beside her reaching for the ball. I've sent tapes to them protesting this guy and emails. Even the other refs says he has it out for me thru my daughter.
Even when you do call and have the area supers come in, the refs know and call a "fair" game. But look out the next time they call aganist you, might as well count it as doomed. The Sequatchie Valley has some terrible refs and no matter what you do or say they seem to get worse. Seems the refs don't actually do it aganist the players as much as the fans. You get your fans into the game, riding the refs backs, nothing to bad, just pointing out fouls they miss and they start blowing that whistle on nit picky stuff. To much of a power trip for most, IMO.

Well heres Gobblersnob.....Should be alot of lies comin our way now. Hey turtle, What are you talking about. I dont really know Marions assistant coach but The one thing I do know is that he is respected. I dont really remember him playing in high school but my older brothers both say he was a great shooter.
Glad to know that you remembered me GCHS27, but one thing is for sure, I'm not full of a bunch of lies. Remember I said that Ladd wouldn't be back and he's not. And Turtle is right the kids don't respect the assistant as coach, he just thinks they do. Now, they respect him as a friend, no doubt there. I'm not bashing anyone and not gonna start it anytime soon but don't go on here and say I am full of lies. Lets get b-ball season started, it looks to be interesting. I am glad to see MC winning and being competative so far.

I think coach roberts would do a real fine job with his program if he had an assistant coach that had a clue how to play basketball. he started with roberts last year and none of the players respected him and he is with him this year and he still doesnt have a clue. his assistant couldnt play ball in high school so what is he doin showin these kids.. not a thing
now Turtle, tell us how you really feel!!!!!!!!!

What's the deal with all the red paint at MCHS on Monday?? It looks like someone from Whitwell used our stadium for writing pratice.
-
Peardon wanted a better education and that is why he is at Boyd. By playing with a well rounded team he will be offered more than he ever would if he had stayed at Whitwell.
Not sure about Roberts and Mcentyre but Wallace does not even live in Whitwell anymore. His family moved to Chattanooga because of his stepdads job.
Whitwell got beat by Boys 2nd team..And from what I hear Matt only played the first half of the game. stink it up, put some salt on those wounds and worry about playing MC on Friday.

Isn't there a question about the eligibility of one of the players from South Pittsburg? I had heard awhile back that their only good player should be out for the season for grades, seems that he failed last year and also failed summer school too.
Funny how you can tell a SP post from anyother, they never say Marion...always Jasper

Here is a great article from Chattanoogan.com with a list of the amount of money that each school will get and what sport it will be used for!
LINK:High Schools, Middle Schools Facing 50% Supplement Cuts
Example listed: "Ooltewah $51,195 with $3,777 for band, $22,379 for football and $13,089 for basketball. $11,950 is left for other sports."
Thanks for the link. Does anyone know how it was determined how much money each school received?? I couldn't believe that RedBank had less than 20 thousand to spend on football while the rest of the schools had 20+. Are the amounts listed what each school gets for coaching supplements and equipment or will the equipment come from a different source??

I sure hate to hear that Hamilton County Schools are having to deal with the cutbacks and I agree that they put you in the spot when signing a contract so early then decide that the funds are not there to pay you or rehire you later on. Hopefully something will turn up but if not, I hear there maybe some positions opening up in Marion County, we would love to have yall down here with us!

What was all that talk about a coaching change in Marion, is that true...what's up?
Shhhh...don't mention that...it seems to upset the MC coaches...lol

A simple thank-you would have been nice.....
