As far as this petition thing goes you saying we only have three people? How about you multiply that by about 300 we have over 10 pages of signatures. See its just something else you dont know , but you have to run your mouth about ! Next time get your facts straight before you go puttin stuff on here Go back and reread my post BooBoo...I said that you LISTED three names on one petition...not that you HAD only 3 sign the petition. Should have had a petition for each individual and not put all 3 names on one, you might have gotten even more signatures.

I just reread all my post and I can't find anything in there that has gotten all of you so upset. All I have stated was what I have been told, ( and I think I have posted that statement 3-4 times already) and my personal opinion of his respect toward his players and their parents. I never said that the man didn't know anything about coaching, because I think he does. The guys had a hard transition from Coach Phillips to Coach Roberts and that can be expected no matter who was coaching. I loved the way he had the B'team involved in the varsity games and making everyone look "presentable" at home and away games. I admire him for making these changes and the discipline he envoking. And WarriorPride....nope I can't play basketball worth a lick, that's why I never tried out for the team.

I LOVE to get you guys all rilled up over this stuff.....!! I just hope that you get this excited over your EDUCATION and your lives as you have over this MEANINGLESS message board. I have only stated what I have been TOLD and HEARD from various people. What would I gain from making things up or lying about stuff. I actually look forward every day to reading how yall love your coaches and standing up for something you believe in. Good for you, I am glad to see that you finally care so much about SOMETHING. So, with that said, if you care so much about what is going on then DO SOMETHING about it. A petiton won't do the trick when you list 3 people on one petiton. Go to Dr. Taylor, voice your opinion and concerns, ask why things are happening the way they are. But don't forget what I posted in the very beginning, they both will probably be back next year. This is just procedure that the Board of Education has to go through. I may be mistaken but I think that you have to be teaching at a school for at least 3 years before you can be tenured and this is Roberts and Ladds first year. And in closing just let me say that I like the discipline that Roberts has. It was something that should have been done along time ago...so see I CAN say something nice about him after all.

Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah..........maybe he will let me play next year so he can tell me how sorry, pitiful, and ignorant I am. Yea that's it, that will make me a better player and want to try harder. (and don't come back with a comment that he would never do/say that, because I heard it with my own two ears.) So YOU sit on the bench and keep your trap shut too.

Very well written BooBoo. And I do agree with you in regards to the "elected officials." I have never agreed with the fact that some on our school board never had/have children in the MC school system. Personally, I think that it should be a requirement before you are allowed to run for the position to have/had children in the system. As in every election, if you don't vote, then don't complain about the outcome. So you Seniors be sure to register to vote and exercise that right. I can only tell you, has I have previously posted, what I have been told by students and parents. This goes to show that there is 2 sides to every story. I wish Ladd and Roberts the best of luck in the upcomming school year, where ever they end up. I also hope that we are able to get back to good ol' MC, where the kids are getting a good education and the stands are packed at every event. We all know that when the stands are packed, money is being brought in and that makes everyone happy and also helps keep jobs, mainly football jobs..lol

Looks like I got some panties in a knot by making a comment about Roberts!! All I can tell you is that I've been a faithful fan of MC atheletics for many years, know the parents and the kids and I have not heard one good word about him, (Roberts) from their mouths. Its not up to me if he stays or goes but as said before I will still support the program/players no matter what becomes of the situation. Another thing, if those of you wish to further your educations or make a decent living, please, please learn proper grammer.

I can't comment on how things would be if Ladd is not rehired but I must ask, What are you smoking...do you REALLY think the kids like Coach Roberts?? I haven't heard of any of the basketball players that like that jerk, (well maybe one), and same goes for the parents too. He might know a little about the game but he has NO respect for his players and very little for their parents. Personally, I hope he's not back at MCHS next year, but I will support the players either way.

Hold on a minute now......I didn't say anything about his teaching ability, (but I have heard it was questionable the way he acts in class..and being disruptive to other classes in his area,) I am just saying if he's a "shooter" then I would not want my kid in his class. And again, going on speculation, if in fact he is not rehired it may be due to the pending legal matters at hand and the school not wanting to face having to replace a teacher/coach midway through the year/season. Personally, my bet is that he will be back and the board is following procedure as normal. I totally agree, he is doing a great job with the baseball program and I know that most of the parents are really pleased with him. Don't shoot the messenger,.....just relaying the word around town.

Well part of your statement is correct, Grimes is two faced. I don't know about Ted Ladd and the reasons they are "supposely" getting rid of him. From my understanding, he is not tennerd (hope that is the right word) at MC so, he along with Roberts, ( and don't get me started on him!!) and a few others got their pink slips just like normal first and second year teachers. If they are in fact not going to rehire him, it could be due to the shooting thing. Self defense or not, would you want your child in his classroom, not me. Grimes has been know to have said that this would be his last year at MC so that may be where the 7,000. figure you heard come from. I do know they offer $500 for teachers to give advance notice of not returning or retirement so that MAY be some incentive for prinipals...just a guess on my part. County residents are not "invited" to the meetings. They are conducted on the same day of the Month and are posted in the local papers of the dates and even when the dates are changed.
