But the area you get your players from shouldn't matter. Glad you aren't making the decisions!
Better include Greeneville in this mix. Open zone.
Better include Alcoa in this mix. Open zone.

BTW your buddy at CAK played the same defense you did against Faith. It's weird how that happened? Lol

Middle TN
I'm familiar with these teams and the TSC ECNL players on each. Brentwood is the most talented IMO but has had too many injuries to it's best players. Vandy GK Commit Devine is outstanding though so she can keep them in games. Franklin is just down compared to years past. Even though they have a US National pool player, and Clemson commit Harper White, she doesn't have the surrounding cast as previous Franklin teams. Oakland has SEC recruit Monica Mulaney but they don't have the depth as the Memphis schools.
I think it will take a healthy dose of excellent play and luck for any of those three to win it.
Man, you know absolutely everyone in TN soccer.

Cant believe no one caught this. Lexington beat Kirby 10-0. So what happened to the 9 goal mercy rule. Whoever the official was for this game should be punished. It also is a same that both coaches forgot the mercy rule too.
First of all, welcome back from retirement!!! ha ha
Second, a game can be 20-0... the first half must be played. So if a team scored 50 goals in the first half, that is "still within the mercy rule".
It's only when 40 minutes have been played that the game is called after a 9 goal difference.
(The other rule, is that with a 5 goal difference, there is no stopping of the clock).

East Hamilton vs. Lexington
White House vs. Seymour
McMinn Central vs. Page
Covington vs. Greeneville

Nice win, Powell!
Coach Smith must have had some incredible coaching when he was in high school.... and club...
Keep rocking it, Mark! Proud of you, brother!

While USN did dominate the run of play in the first half, Rabb had one shot on goal all game against BGA. Just want to set the record straight. CPA is the class of the middle region this year. I was not impressed with USN in their game with BGA (settled for a lot of shots from distance which BGA was more than happy to allow) or CPA (but I thought #12 for USN was a very player, CM)
Good luck to everyone.
That #2 for USN was top notch. She must have megged our girls over 4 times and could turn SO QUICKLY.
#12 was quality, as well.
We have a young team, and were a bit "over wound" to play USN and played way too much kick ball for my liking.
Thankful for some days off for healing and looking forward to watching USJ vs. ND at our place tonight.

Under the new format, do all district teams advance win or lose or are cak, nd, dca, and usn out?
Top seeds (and this year second seed in the west) get a bye to the quarterfinals.
ECS
CCS
CPA
St. Georges
Then the following are a knock out round:
CAK vs DCA
USJ vs Notre Dame
USN vs FACS
Knox Grace vs BGA

CAK has been challenged this year. From watching ND, solid D, very little O, it should be a good game. It is not likely either of these teams brings back the gold but one never knows.
I haven't seen ND play, but we have played CAK. I really like their offense, and the goal keeper can be outstanding. The ND vs. CAK match up should be a close one. Tough to call.
Still getting used to the "non knock out" games... really strange to have 4 teams advance from district AND region AND section.

CAK won in golden goal over Knox Grace (3-2)
CPA beat BGA 5-0
Ezell beat FRA 1-0
USN beat DCA 5-2
CCS beat Notre Dame 2-0
MTCS beat Mt. Juliet in overtime 8-4????

I have trying to contact someone from Eurosportscoreboard but have been unable to.
Here is a great site that we use:
It is updated and has the brackets for play offs.

ECS was missing one of their starters. BGA was missing two of theirs and had two on the field who were carrying injuries. Game could have gone either way, but under the circumstances and predictions, this is an impressive result for BGA.
Great result for BGA!
While BGA lost some talent, I think they will still be highly competitive. Looking forward to our game on Thursday, but need to face Ezell tomorrow, first.

DIV 2A region battle of west and middle top contenders
ECS at BGA tonight is one to watch. ECS lost Martin (Ole Miss) and others but they are very good/talented again. BGA lost French (UT) as well as others that were solid.
My guess is ECS by 3 looking at their schedules but who knows? BGA is well coached and has a talented team.
Looking forward to this game. Might head out that way.

ECS tied Bearden and beat Hendersonville. Impressive.

Our coaching staff was actually talking about the CCS and ND rivalry. It is ALWAYS a battle.
I'll be interested in how things pan out there in the east region. Webb, Grace, CAK added to that mix makes things tricky.

CCS is just loaded this year regardless of the cut off.
They have been excellent for the past 3 years (they should have beaten us last year, we were fortunate).
I figured once the public private split happened that we would have to find something to "discuss", and I was right.

Don't know how this will stay a forfeit. Team was following TSSAA protocol.

Good job. We have a long way to go with this young group. It was nice seeing the kids and their parents. Didn't know about Cece. Kris said she will be ok.
I think you guys will win your side and USN ours. USN beat BA 2-1 tonight so that is a quality win.
BTW Faith had some laughs with Megan during the game. Faith said Megan was like her shadow. Lol Your keeper made some really good saves against her. Your kids made it really tough on her too.
I hope we can improve and be competitive next time we see you guys. Best of luck!
Yeah, Cece was rocking it against a big AAA team in Knoxville and just came down wrong on a tackle. Hoping to get her back soon, but mainly for the playoffs.
Your daughter is quite talented. Stronger and faster than last year. I was glad to play against her as it allowed us to work on "man marking". We were having difficulty for a while, and then made some adjustments which helped. She is definitely a dangerous player. If our keeper hadn't have made some pretty good saves, the end score might have looked a little different.
You guys should be good coming out of districts. From my understanding, 4 teams make it out and I would imagine you all are probably 2nd?
Hope to see you all again in a few weeks!

Two scrimmages and already have injuries to goalie, all region attacking mid, and all district mid. Plus, we only have two senior starters and ten soph/fresh/8th graders playing huge minutes.
You should just play your jv. Just ask your friend at Ensworth, we are banged up.
I think we will both be limping through our game on Tuesday.
On my roster of 20 on varsity, after Bearden and McMinn County tonight, we are down to only 14 healthy girls.
Like you, we are starting 4 freshmen and an 8th grader.
Should be a good match!
