  1. Both Father Ryan's offensive lines and defensive lines willl waltz right over JP2s stick figures. Our line does average 260, undoubtedly, and they are very quick. Im guessing by the time this freshman QB hands the ball off to Golden Tate (which I am assuming will be every play), there will be a FR lineman there to meet him. And if SOMEHOW Golden gets past one of them, he still has to deal with #17, who is looking for some headhuntin' vengence. And I am not sure about JP2s defense, but FR probably has the strength to make steady, positive plays on offense, and might end up scoring on nearly every drive. JP2 has lots of speed and talent, but they lack size and strength, since that class just left.

As for the 7v7, a lotta players cant make it because they work. Probably the same for Greenbrier. The team looked young because they are young, and too young to get a job.

Didn't you guys say this same thing last year?

  2. What recievers are schools bringing to the mix? FR has 3 Senior recievers, 4 junior recievers, and 3(?) sophmore ones.

Just drop it man the only people who think father ryan will have anything go to father ryan. nobody respects father ryan anymore because for the last 15 or so years they have farted around thinking that the fact that they are in the "super seven" or great eight or whatever it is gives them some kind of elite status. No one will come close to respecting father ryan until they can beat that 4 year old thorn in their side known as JPII. interesting how a four year old school can beat an 80 year old school in football, basketball, academics and more areas im sure im missing. Quit making father ryan out to be this powerhouse with a lot of great players coming up. I'm sure the will donnelly crew will be great but you guys have been talking like this for the past 6 years. its about time to show up on friday nights and quit bragging about how great you guys are in junior varsity and freshman bc that doesnt mean anything.

  3. Well, things are changing. FRHS wouldnt suffer this draught for long. Tho the FR class of '06 didnt see many victories during their HS career, they will see the leadership impact they left behind. Things are looking up for every school, and a good FR football team is closer than you think, wait til spring football.

BTW, how does Ensworth look so far? The next formidable team? The Next MBA?

You guys say that EVERY year and it never happens. It's about time the "purple pride" puts their money where their mouth is. Before you boys run your mouths remember 49-21

  4. BGA has a lot of very skilled players.. but they aren't the best "team".. there team is very similar to the one last year, and when it came time for state they had great skill, but they didn't have the team game... this year they are much improved and seem to be playing better team game... from what i can tell, MBA has the best "team" right now... JPII is solid, as is USN, but if the other teams are playing their best soccer, BGA, RYAN, and MBA are the top three. The next couple of weeks will answer questions about the middle with BGA playing most division games and Ryan playing MBA and BGA...

You've sure changed your tune since the JP2-Ryan game.

  5. All jpII fans need to cut the disrespect to ba... you can ask the supreme court if they pay their players... ba won that case... all i have to say is financial aid to come to all division II schools is allowed (including jpII)... if you want to hate on brandan wright and josh bone and say they are payed like their coaches in basketball are than lets flip the table and say golden tate and alvin ingle are payed for playing football... you can not just say that ba pays their players and thats why they have the program they have today. So i know you can here me know flight. think of something more creative than just saying i cant here you.

Isn't the thing you do with your ears known as "hearing". Great education over at BA

  6. The topic of this thread is "best student section". JPII is not the best student section in the state or even in DII but until BA can make a claim as the best they need to support their team whether theyre up 30 or down 30 and that drive up I65 doesnt take 40 minutes even in afternoon traffic. Maybe we'll be proud of losing to whites creek and shelbyville once we pay our players as much as our coaches.

  7. This will be a good game against a most likely mad Irish team, If Ryan begins to hit there 3's it will spell death for JP2. Still this will be a good game against rival schools, and I can't wait.

Agreed. the godly irish will be furious after a nailbiting loss to pope and a loss to an ensworth team pope was mocked for losing to. The interesting thing will be to see how many people pope is able to squeeze into that gym.

If you fittna do it, do it big

  8. no one came to that game last night bc everyone knew it would be a big win FOR SURE.... if you would of seen whites creek or ridgeway you would see the real mafia... actually you will see the real mafia at the reigon tournament...

Yall cant be called the best until you support your team regardless of whether your being blown out or the one doing the blowing out.

  9. The shocker was how overrated the "mustache mafia" is. There were no creative chants, little cheering and there were maybe 20 students who made the 30 minute drive up I65. I was disappointed. JPII's student section was louder, larger and more creative despite never receiving the front page of coacht.com or a goofy nickname.

I agree. not only were there very few of them and they were quiet and dull they also get treated like theyre the best in the state JPII outcheered them all night despite the fact that they have two all star players who make up their whole team

  10. Geez do not take it so seriously, its just a shhhhhh, push ups and a little skin.

exactly. If your going to complain like a little girl about our chants and reactions to chants dont you go crying about a shh and some pushups. Father Ryan could possibly be the most two faced school on the planet. they say one thing and do another and complain about things they do themselves.

  11. I agree.. on a good note, the game last night was probably one of the best games I have seen all year. On the other hand, JP2 won with the least amount of class I have ever seen at a basketball game. A player from JP2 was doing pushups on the court while two or three other JP2 basketball players took of their shirts and tried to flex. Golden Tate is the cockiest player and leads the whole group of the "golden" knights. Tate scored eight points and was never a factor up until the last play where father ryan left him wide open and all he had to do was lay it in. He was acting like he scored 30. Alvin Ingle ran up the father ryan sideline putting a finger to his lips like it was the first victory JP2 has seen. I congratulate JP2 on a good win that could have gone either way and both teams played hard. As good of a win as that was for JP2, they showed zero class and I really feel sorry for the whole school. It is pretty sad to think that a high school has as many immature and undisciplined kids as JP2. I do not have nearly as much respect for JP2 as I did two days ago. Everyone involved with the school should be embarrassed by the lack of discipline. Basketball is a game, not life. At least have some respect for Father Ryan and their facilities. The school is named after a pope, they sure didnt act like it. Like Paul Brown use to say, "when you reach the end zone, act like youve been there before."

You sound like an irish supporter which is interesting because after a similar win at JPII last year similar chants of "this is our house" and some spilling onto the court occured. In an emotional, hostile game like that it is wrong to say JPII had no class, especially when Father Ryan administrators said, and i quote, "If we had won like that at your place we would have run on the court too".
