  1. yeah, man. that guy is an IDIOT. sounds like a play here and a play there and yall would have beaten meigs...but that is the way it is in this region...the top for are so close and yall proved tonight that yall can hang with some of the best in the region. now go get in the wieghtroom and get better....i hope yall go 9-1 next year (bet ya can't guess who that one loss will be to) just get better...that's all you can do!!!! GO CHARGERS

U are the idiots I have been around football longer than you have. I will go to William Blount or Maryville. At least they are in the playoffs while this team sits at home. I have gone to watch both of these teams and Meadows welcomed me. Both of these teams could beat you with their B teams saw what happend when you played the William Blount jvs.

  2. Okay guys, give me the gory details. I didn't get to go to the game, but I heard the turnover bug bit us hard again. Were we just simply outclassed in this one, were we flat, enlighten me when you feel like posting about it. Hang in there boys, you will get there. These things take time and hard work. GO CHIEFS!

We have been outclassed almost every game. Want to see a good team go watch Maryville High School and see how football is supposed to be played. I knew Howard has too much speed for our team. Thank goodness there is one more game to have to suffer through. Wish we had Scott Meadows back.

  3. East Ridge is awful. This is just a weak conference from top to bottom. They couldn't do nothing against McMinn Central. Where this conference will show that it is weak is when the playoffs start. See how long these teams last. Not long. Maybe they need to go ahead and play a different qb this season is already shot already anyway.

  4. I like to see a coach stand up for the kids. I believe that he had every reason to be upset at Central. A coach has every right to question a call and ask for an explanation, and you will not get put on probation for that. My concern is that offensively they were simply not ready for that game. The offense was out of rhythm and never consistently got going.

There is a right way and a wrong way to question a call. We went at it the wrong way. All I am saying is now no official will give us a break after we got on the wrong side. Like it or not they are in charge of the game and not the coaches, players, or fans.

  5. SQHS better wise up are they are going to be in hot water with TSSAA players and coaches. They got real close to being fined and coach being thrown out of the game at McMinn Central. And the players for both teams are running their mouths. These people don't know how close they are to being put on probation etc. So they better wise up before it is too late.

  6. QUOTE(Sequoyah SID @ Apr 5 2007 - 07:14 AM) 826430468[/snapback]She is a great kid with her only flaw being that she claims to know me. Glad to hear that she has been that active. Like you posted earlier championships are won in the off season. It takes a dedication like that to get better and to succeed.

SID was watching the ARCA race from Nashville and noticed that one of the cars had Sequoyah High School painted on it. Didn't know the high school was sponsoring one of the cars. Maybe you could look into this. They may want to sponsor one of the Nextel Cup cars next season.

  7. and on a lighter note; if you're still looking for assistant football coaches this spring, I recomend running the following ad in the local paper, I know someone that works there...

"we need rustlers, cut throats, murderers, bounty hunters, desparados, mugs, pugs, thugs, nitwits, halfwits dimwits, vipers, snipers, con men, Indian agents, Mexican bandits, muggers, buggers, bushwhackers, hogswallowers, horse thieves, bulldykes, train robbers, bank robbers, a$# kickers, sh&* kickers and Methodist!!"

It sure has helped us get Soccer Coaches!!

I am sure a good coach would want to hear these names. If football wins at the school it will carry the other sports financially. In other words football carries a school. Soccer wouldn't make enough to pay a light bill at a school. If everyone would join forces and not fight each other and work together then the school can go forward. I have been in a booster club sense the school was started. And like always just a few people would show up to help work. The basketball tournament that played around Christmas has been stopped because know one wanted to give up their Christmas vacation to help work it. And there went a lot of money to the booster club sense they got the consession stand money. And now the tournament will never be back at SQHS. We have got to work together booster club, teachers, etc. Everyone likes what the money buys for their sport but hardly anyone wants to work to rasie the money needed. Just thought I would throw this in here. Lets work together.

  8. This game is for the bottom of the barrel. Both teams all they have betten is big powerhouse Tellico Plains. Grundy will win this big. Seq. would do well to beat a good little league team. Seq. needs to clean house and start at the top and start over. They need a coach this guy is not the answer.

  9. That is too much to pay for high school games. You can go and watch the TN junior college tournament cheaper at Roane State college. TSSAA is hurting so much for money. It was awful to pay $6.00 for one sectional game.

  10. You are full of it. You don't know anything about basketball if you think the ref is scouting a team. McMinn Central could beat the Cheifs anytime and any place. They have a great coach that knows what he is doing. They don't need a scout. Besides the cheifs can't get passed Walker Valley anyway. Know wonder the refs don' t give them any brakes. You have a bunch of know it alls that think they know more than the refs anyway. Why don't you go back to little legue and leave the big league stuff a lone.

I am sure that Alcoa would have a different opinion.

Alcoa, welcome to District 5AA referees!!

They actually let the players play more than usual, but not nearly the physical type of game that the Knoxville area teams are used to.

Also:  Special thanks to McMinn Central for sending a scout to help referee the game.  It will be interesting to see which game this ref gets to call in next week's 5AA district games.
