  1. They were, cpa had beaten ca in the regular season. Last night was a good game. Both teams wanted it. Ca has girls that has played together for 11 years and you could tell. It was pretty evenly matched, but ca was able to get a goal in double over time sudden death.

i know this is irrevalent but we have not played together for 11 years most of us havent even played soccer for 11 years and the ones that have havent all played together. since the 5th or 6th grade yes, since age like 6 and 7 no. just to clear that up.

So any info on Knox Catholic?

  2. Games are 80 min long :thumb:

um each half is 40 mins and half time is 10 mins...40+10+40=90 and you have to stay focused in halftime or else the second half will be a joke. but all this is beside the point.

  3. i believe this year is a lot more of a toss up than usual. Teams aren't as stable as they used to be in any division. in my opinion it is between:

    CCS

    FRA

    HumeFogg

    NotreDame

    KnoxCatholic

    CA (go dawgs)*

*i say my own team because i do not know how good the other teams are, but i know my own has the potential. i see if from time to time...we just need to make sure it shows for 90mins (and come tournament time i think it will)

    Good luck to everyone though.

  4. opinions are opinions...but personally i would take halie...i have seen both play in travel. i play travel with halie our team (tnfc 89 premier) played against cohens odp team, but she could have been off. or it may be different with different players. but when it comes down to it i know both are very strong players and tremendious assets to their teams.

What bout Defenders everyone is mainly? saying offensive players...offense sells tickets but defense wins championship.

  5. yes a player at ca did get kicked out because of a crap call. the ref that kicked him out was across the field and did not get a full view. Bruce, the boy in question, is a good boy for those who know him. Someone kicked him and they thought Bruce kicked back.

i was a cheerleader for bball last year and mt pleasant didnt show very good sportsmanship at all. the first game a fan from your team cussed out ours and they followed two to there car and was trying to fight him. The next time which was at ca, some girl tried to spit on the cheerleaders and we got a dip bottle thrown at us along with food. Not just that mt pleasant made shirts which had rude comments about the girls on the basketball team. And while this was going on how did the ca people react they did nothing...SO DONT TRY AND SAY WE HAVE BAD SPORTSMANSHIP WHEN I AS A CHEERLEADER ALMOST GOT SPIT ON!

sry i am not disagreeing to your rankings just wondering why CA isnt on there. I mean we beat fairview all the time (no offense i love the kids from fairview--oliva walters and laura miller) and they are 13. Eurosport Scoreboard has us as 11. i am not saying we should be on there just wondering why u dont consider us as top 15.

  7. this year a couple teams did move around like spring hill dropped to a/aa...but i didnt think Baylor did...but thats not the subject.

i do believe ac had some good forwards named leslie maybe did they graduate.

  8. Columbia Academy played in the 7v7 tourney...

i am gonna post the scores of CA, but i dont really think they mean anything considering its easy to score in small sided games

    CA 4, Gallatin 2

    CA 3, Mt.Juliet 1

    CA 5, David Lipscomb 5

    CA 4, Harpeth High 4

as you can tell they were very high scoring games. one complaint i have about the tournament is that the refs rules for each game were different than the next. the offsides and goal keeper distribution/goal kick rules were always changing.

Anyway good luck to all the other teams in there season.

  9. It has to be played with the head. i think the rule may have changed to the head not to long ago, but sometime in one of our travel games the question came up and they told us the head...but then again it could be one of those things where the refs tend to "make up" there on rulings as they please

  10. Well first off soccer is the only sport everyone at CA can play,,also CA has about 400 more ppl. there than zion does,,so i dont see why CA makes playing zion a big deal,,they just make it a big deal b/c they know ONE DAY zion will be beating them in EVERY sport!! and they have to have fun while they can!!

Um as a matter of fact ca has like 400 if you count preschool thru 12 so i dont think the preschool and elementary additions do much for the school.

  11. i believe that the heather girl from ccs, haley profitt from david lipscomb, leslie allred from ac and the kristin girl for fra are the best a/aa players. i have seen most the players(a/aa) that have been mention play and if i have not seen them play i have prob. heard of there play in either school soccer or travel soccer...and i believe that those three are the best in a/aa.

all the players mentioned (in a/aa) are good players no doubt but you need to stay unbiased to your school and region of the state, and look not only at footskills, but also at off the ball movements, interaction with teammates, their leadership skill and if the lead there team to victory or tear them down, and their postions in certain situations, all of these combined make a great player. all the technical and tactical, all the physical and mental skills should be evaluated.

this is all opinion, i know, and this is mine...Nothing is meant to be offensive in this post. i just believe that sometimes some of us are a bit biased to our area :)

  12. not trying to be a sore loser, nothing like that or anything we had plenty of other chances we did not finish...but yes graces keeper caught the ball inside the goal but the linesman was even with me (the center defender)...i was a little in front of half. both teams played really hard...i believe Ca can beat grace next year (key word=i believe...so grace dont get mad) both teams have talent and room to improve...GREAT GAME TO PLAY IN AND FOR FANS OF SOCCER TO WATCH. it was even more fast past then the game we played against FRA.

To all the seniors we had a lot of fun with all of you. i have been playing with 2 of you since the 6th grade and i had a lot of fun getting to know the other.

susan-you are a great foward with some powerful shots dont be afraid to take them tho.

suz-u are so much fun on the field and in class (chorus). i love ya.

mandy-you are so funny..the away trips and hanging at emilys before the game wont be the same.

sorry all u other ppl for all the sentimental mess....

GOOD LUCK TO GRACE AT STATE.
