1.51 a very competitive 800m time nationally at the high school level.  Even at the college level 1.51 would definitely win many races.  You're not going to find many distance runners that can hit 1.51.  I'm not saying it's impossible, but typically when you get down that low it's 400m runners who have moved up in distance.  A really really fast time for a distance runner in the 800m would be 1.54.  I would say that would be the equivilent to 4.17 1600m.

Have you ever been to the Vandy track? There is hardly enough room for the temporary bleachers that they have. Although they indeed need a more central location for the state meet.
