  1. Alcoa is the Alabama of Tennessee high school football. What I witnessed last night is the difference between a well coached team and a well coached team with discipline. And Giles County lacked discipline last night. When your back is against the wall it’s how you respond that says what kind of person you are.So that’s what a boat race looks like.

All year giles line just didn’t have any push and the qb play was terrible. Qb can’t survey the field, if giles passes more with better qb play they probably win tonight.

I agree with everything you said. Not trying to make any excuses but if I’m not mistaken this is only like the third season that Giles Co.’s QB Cardin has played football. And from what I remember the second season at QB.Been a screwed up and a bad recruiting year with all this corona.Im sure oc will be hot on the recruiting trail.

Our Boys in Blue should have a running clock by late first qtr early second??? The Raiders have had some up and down years the last 5,6 or 7 years, but they seem to be REALLY down this year. BUT, on the flip side, they always play us pretty tough.

It will definitely be a blow out and will have the mercy rule clock running but the mercy rule doesn’t start until second half

Mr. Bobcat,  I don't trash kids, PERIOD.  I'm not on either side of this issue.  I only stated a fact that Fayetteville only has to prepare for one team.   If you want to bash a 17 year old kid, your on your own...

Well Mr.Main Event I don’t trash kids either. At no point in my last post did I trash a or the kid

Spoke with Coach Patterson last night.   He also stated they wouldn't know anything until Tuesday.   Fayetteville only has to prepare for one team also.  They either play Bruceton or stay at home.

I think they are talking about 2 & 3 seeds.Who cares who Fayetteville has to prepare for its because of them for all this mess anyway.Did it not say something in the kids in question transcripts from the other schools he transferred from about the trouble he had gotten in at the previous school?Im all for a kid wanting to better his self and change but I also for holding people accountable for things they do wrong.Just because you want to better yourself doesn’t mean your problems go away

Great deflection from actually talking about this year's incident. OC is a bum. He may know football but he is not a leader of men. I hope MC decides to discontinue this game. Osteen in company need to rally the troops for the big showdown with Nolensville in two weeks.

No “Deflection” here.I don’t care if they play or not.But let it be know it’s not just this year and not just when O’Connor has been coaching that this has been going on.I remember Giles County’s basketball team tore up Marshall County’s locker room in 2001/2002 season what was said about that?I don’t care what they do.When lives are in danger then enough is enough.

  7. Who else remembers the vulgar sign that somebody from Marshall County hung in the front of Giles County’s gym and spray painted male anatomy images in bright orange in the end zone the night before Giles County and Marshall County were suppose to play about 8 years ago?Marshall County has shady characters too.

Came to our game at Lawrence County, game went without incident and on our way to buses started hollering rude, vulgar language. We get on buses and leave and they proceed in 2-3 cars of them to swerve in and out of our cars hanging out window giving the bird finger, cussing and get in front of buses and hit their brakes repeatedly. 2 ladies had to take the shoulder to keep from getting hit and cops were called and they were pulled over. And 3 players were suspended because of it, funny when a parent went to GCHS to complain the AD and assistant principal knew nothing about it. I’m sorry that GCHS principal had to deal with all that during her illness, she’s a fine lady. So I’m personally just glad our game is over, wished we would have won to feel less mad about the whole situation but it is what it is. I enjoy the rivalry part as much as anyone for 49 years now, but what happened last week took it to a dangerous level. I remember in school we stole banners and had tacky language between Marshall and Giles but there was a level of respect that’s just not there anymore, it makes me sad. But social media is probably to blame for most of that!

Yeah that’s uncalled for.Did the right thing by calling police.Yeah social media puts a different spin on things these days.I hate social media to a point.I miss the days where a rivalry was a friendly rivalry and the worst things we did was send black roses to the rivals school the week of the game.

Yes I can agree with all those points you made. Well after a long week of having to deal with the off the field incidents of last Thursday nights  event  caused by a few Giles players, I’m mentally worn out from dealing with that and glad our game is over and doesn’t  affect our playoff chances at all. So thanks for clearing the air! Go Tigers!

Off field incidents cause by a few Giles County players? Do explain.
