  1. Just to clear up about the previous games. #1 got hurt with Boyd 1st and goal inside the 5 about to go up 20-7. Maybe just maybe Tyner runs the ball succefully after going down 20-7 for the first time all game. Tyner had 11 yards rushing for the ENTIRE game and to that point & #1 had less than 10 yards rushing on the night. Yes he is a great talent but to say the game got out of hand because he left the game is comical. Tyner started passing after going down 26-7 after the next series when they had the bad punt snap. They had zero success running all night. Maybe they overlooked Boyd but the defense dominated Tyners offense the first meeting. Now having said that nobody is expecting that a 2nd time around. Marion game was completely different than Tyner. However when Massangale took over the Warriors played their best ball on offense that they had all night long. Who knows maybe they both over looked them and Boyd is just extremely fortunate. It will take a lot for the Bucs to beat 2 good teams twice in same year. I know this though, with the Warriors having 2 Mr Football Finalist plus a healthy Logan Walters at QB along w/having Ross on the sidelines MC SHOULD be in Cookeville again this year. Anything less than that is a failure. This team is MUCH better than last years team and best Warrior team since 1995.

I think you may be surprised
  2. Despite the fact that Tyner lost to both Boyd and MC they are a dangerous team. I'm picking Tyner 28-21 based on the fact that #1 is healthy and Boyd's #9 is questionable. Boyd has won both region 3 games when the opposing teams best player left injured (It's a contact sport and it happens I'm not suggesting at all they were targeted). Horton is absolutely right Boyd's defense just doesn't make many mistakes as they are well coached. They don't blow assignments and they tackle well. Tyner just has the athletes to make big plays at any time. I certainly don't see this anything like the first meeting and anticipate a game well worth watching if I wasn't traveling to Chapel Hill. At any rate I believe whoever survives the Boyd, MC and Tyner battles over the next few weeks stands a strong chance of representing the east. All of these teams are very good and could really beat each other any given night.

Both of those players weren't injured until the end of the game. The Bucs were big underdogs last time and I'm sure they will be this time as well! Go Bucs!
  3. And like I said from July. They are the best team in the east for 2A. Sometimes the best team doesn't win. They lost one game, but talent wise they are as good as any team with the exception of Trezevant. I will go on and say this. Walters is the best 2A player in the east. It's not even close.

I'm still not sure why they haven't just mailed them the gold ball yet
  4. We have a gauntlet to run in the west ourselves facing 2 backs both 6'1 215. One has 2200 yards rushing and the other over a thousand. If we get out of the west we hear on this side of the state Boyd or Marion are the two that have the best shot to come to Cookeville I really hope we get a chance to play either one of y'all. Play hard and stay healthy

Nice post, good luck in playoffs
